Pros +
- Check in and out was easy. The hosts were friendly, helpful, amazing. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen staff were friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Housekeeping was great. Room was cleaned everyday. The location is near restaurants and old town Chania.
- This was very updated and new. The shower was lovely and the robes, slippers and extra goodies (sewing kit, shaving kit, q-tips) were great. The bed was comfortable. This was quiet expensive for one night, but the facilities were very nice. We did not have time to use the pool, but it was very nice to look at. The restaurants were walkable and it was a nice walk along the sea. The balcony had an amazing view of the sea, which went right up to the side of the hotel.
- Our room was amazing! Right on the water could listen to waves crashing on our balcony. Breakfast was so delicious from the chef, and the staff was super accommodating to everything that we asked for!
Cons -
- Not the property’s fault but there was construction next door and they started early in the morning.
- The hot tub outside was amazing, but there was no privacy whatsoever. The rooms to each side of you were in complete view. They should install a barrier to at least give some privacy to those having a hot tub outside. Do not expect to find parking if you drive here unless it's very early in the morning, as the streets are packed with beach-goers.
- Honestly nothing could’ve been better. Our only complaint is that we left early most days so if that breakfast had been started earlier we could’ve enjoyed it just because it was soooo good!

The location of the hotel is great , the view is also gorgeous , even though it lacks a lot of privacy between rooms !
There is not much privacy in the rooms because your neighbors’ terrace is stock to yours and completely open and they can see in your roomIf they wanted to by just turning their head ! They could have made the glass in between Matt , not see thru like the first glass attached to the room . The room I was given on my last day because of an upgrade request for our last night ( number 17 ) was suppose to be the master premiumSuite - it was horrible ( spacious inside ) but the whole street can see inside if you don’t close the shutters and blinds ( which is pointless for such a room, the whole point was to enjoy and relax my room. Plus the street lights at night was unstoppable from coming in the room, there was no shutters to block the light. If you can’t sleep with lights on in the room , it’s very uncomfortable. I called the receptionist and I got a very unprofessional answer of : I KNOW THE LIGHT OF THE MAIN STREET COMES IN, we can’t do anything about it “ When someone upgrades to get a better experience , and everything is wrong in the room , it made the whole stay go from a 4 star to a 1 star ! I have much more to say about this property but I’ll leave it at this :: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PRIVACY , you will not get that unless you close the blinds in your room and stay in which loses the whole charm and experience ! Plus I called the hotel customer service to help Me with my a reservation I had made 4 month later , and they refused to refund me and move it to the day I wanted ! ( attached are the picture of the NO privacy between rooms and the Main Street ! ( to be fair : the receptionist LEILA was extremely nice and joyful )
The hotel is a beautiful, upscale, quiet oasis set in the perfect spot for experiencing Chania. Rooms are spacious with very modern amenities and very comfortable beds. The whole hotel is spotless and well maintained (and it is only two years old). The breakfast was excellent and full of delicious Cretan specialties. View of the sea and sunset from our room and the pool deck was spectacular. We had a large jacuzzi inside our room overlooking the waves crashing against the rocks below our balcony. All staff were very friendly and helped arrange taxis and booked day trips for us. Complementary water bottles and pool/beach towels were provided daily. Very short walk in one direction to a very nice local, sandy beach that has ample and affordable sunbeds/umbrellas, many good tavernas, a pharmacy and mini-markets. About a 10 minute walk in the other direction is the beautiful Venetian port and old town full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars.
Nothing not to like! It was perfect!
Jacuzzi overlooking the sea in the room, personal steam room shower, and an exceptional breakfast
The pool doesn’t have a lot of charm and offers no privacy from the street and little protection from the wind. I think some walls or hedges would be lovely
- staff- location and view- cleaness
Beautiful views, friendly staff, amazing breakfast and the location to the old town is perfect!
Nothing we did not like, would be even better with spa facilities.
The view was amazing. Staff were all very friendly. Cute little boutique hotel. All around great!
The balconies could use a little more privacy
Jacuzzi was great and pre-heated 24/7, comfortable bed, awesome view on the sea
Booking's description of the room mentioned that we would get a free bottle of wine or champagne - the staff was surprised by that and later told us that we would have to pay an extra fee for that, that's why we rate the property with 1 star less
This place was stunning! Shower was amazing, hot tub outside with perfect view. Not too far from attractions. Customer service was great. I have no complaints. Beautiful stay, would go back.
Position, room size and the sea view. Good breakfast.
No secured parking. No hotel bar.
The room was exceptional! From the hot tub to the sauna feature in the shower, no detail has been missed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms well cleaned daily.
While the breakfast was tasty, there wasn’t much of a selection - however this could be due to traveling out of season.
Perfect location. The team were incredibly kind and attentive with marvellous recommendations, thank you so much to Anthony and the entire team. We are very much looking forward to visiting again.
Everything about our stay was EXCEPTIONAL. We had great interactions with all of the staff, the location was perfect and walk-able to everywhere we wanted to go, and the breakfast was hearty enough to help us not need to get lunch any of the days we stayed there. But by FAR the best part was the view from the room. Absolutely indescribable.
Any issues that we had with our stay were resolved quickly, kindly, and professionally by the staff. Every single person we interacted with on the staff was friendly and helpful.
Excellent for couples. Relaxing place, quiet and good service.
Not a problem, but an improvement. They should provide always one extra bath mat as it is needed by the hot tub in the rooms. I had to ask them every day to provide that.
Our experience at Elia Sea Suites was simply exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and always attentive, making sure our stay was perfect. The room with a sea view and stunning sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The jacuzzi added an extra touch of luxury and relaxation, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was another highlight—great quality and a variety of delicious options to start the day right. In terms of location, the hotel is just a 6-7 minute walk from the port. It’s slightly set back from the busiest areas, offering a peaceful retreat. I imagine this would be even more valuable during peak season, but at this time of year, it was simply perfect.Overall, an outstanding stay with nothing but positives! I highly recommend it and would love to return.
We stayed at the deluxe suite with the jacuzzi. The room was spacious and new (the staff told us the hotel opened around August ‘24) and shower was also very big with great water flow. Location of the hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the old town in a quieter area. The view of the sea is absolutely amazing! The jacuzzi right in front of the window makes it even more magical and relaxing! The room was cleaned everyday and the staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was also great with many fresh local products (a special thanks to Eleni and her delicious loumoumades ?)! Last but not least, upon our departure the receptionist offered us two small bottles of local olive oil which he said is from the hotel’s owner olives! Definitely a nice touch to the already great experience! Totally recommended!
Just a small suggestion, maybe some more hooks in the bathroom and a shelf above the washbasin would be ideal!
Amazing room, view, staff, breakfast, location! One of the greatest hotels I have ever been to!
Property was perfect! Amazing views, amazing room and the jacuzzi in the room was superb!
