- From check-in to check-out, it was a great experience. The location was exceptional, and the water views were beautiful. It was very convenient to be able to walk out the front door and be in the middle of the very romantic Old Venetian Port for a walk. We rented a car and were able to park for free not very far from the hotel, right across the street from the fortress. We could not say enough about our host Olga. She was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. From a smooth check-in to serving us a delicious breakfast every morning and giving us suggestions on what things to do in town. She seemed genuinely interested in how our day was. Thank you so much Olga for the wonderful experience you truly made it feel like home. Hope to see you again. We would definitely recommend these accommodations and would surely stay here again.
- Loved Chania, loved the location, lovely hostess, but TERRIBLE noise on the Friday from bar under the hotel. We were awake until 2:30 an and , despite prepaying in full, left the following morning for another hotel.
- We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Leone Hotel. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming. The charming furnishings transport you back in time, adding to the unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
Cons -
- Nothing really. Everything was great.
- TERRIBLE noise from techno music on the Friday night from bar under the hotel. We were awake until 2:30am and, despite prepaying in full, left the following morning for another hotel. Be warned.
- It was quite a cold place since it was in the low 50°s F outside, and rainy. And there is quite a loud restaurant / bar close, so you could hear music well into the night. I would think it would be less noise than much of the harborside in season.

The service, location, spacious room, breakfast.
This was the perfect place for a quick stay in Chania. The hospitality was great, Olga is fabulous; the location was perfectly placed to walk around Old Town; and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts.
The location was amazing. It was great being right in old town Chania. The daily breakfast was a treat and an added bonus to the stay. The room we stayed in was large, with a sitting area below and bed up the stairs. The victorian furniture, while charming, does not make the most comfortable place to relax, but that was expected based on the photos in the listing. All the amenities were provided! - tea, coffee, water in the fridge, all the toiletries in the bathroom. Very happy with our choice to stay here!
The location was excellent, Olga was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good.
The hotel is in a lovely old building with many original looking features, and great views across the harbour. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating - with a tasty breakfast too.
Olga, the staff member who fed us breakfast, our first morning was incredibly helpful and friendly. She gave us great recommendations for hiking and even reserved our cab to start the hike! The next morning, we had to leave early, so she left us breakfast in our room the night before and made us lunch to take with us as well. This was truly some of the best service we have had. You couldn't ask for a better staff experience at a nice place to stay. The room was well equipped and lovely to stay in, and the views were fantastic. Two thumbs up!
Best location in the center of Chania. The views were beautiful. Everything we wanted to do was a few meters from the hotel.
Very historic building and restored well. It is actually like staying in a bedroom of a home, since the owners live in the building. No breakfast is offered in the winter, since there are few guests. I did like the location away from MOST of the noise and tourists.

We liked the location in the quieter part of the harbor, and the fact that there were only 5 rooms. It seems like a family run place. The view from our little terrace was beautiful.
We stayed the first week in February and we were the only guests the whole time. Breakfast was not served during our stay. In fact we were all alone in the hotel and only saw an owner/receptionist twice, once at check in and once for an hour mid day doing paper work. They were very friendly but it was rather a strange experience to be all alone in the hotel for a week. It was rather dark and cold. Our room which had the sleep loft was hard to heat. Overall it was a nice stay though.
Everything was great about the property the location in the amazing old part of town. The host was very polite and accommodating. You felt like you’re in a big old house all by yourself. I think other people were staying there, but I never saw them. You didn’t feel like you were in a hotel. You felt more like a guest house. I know it was off-season. That’s probably why I didn’t see many people, but everything was in walking distance from shops to restaurants you couldn’t ask for more. I would highly recommend this place.
Bathroom is a little small, but all of that not much to complain about
Location is perfect. The view is amazing. Room was very spacious
The location of this hotel is great. Restaurants and boutiques are a stones throw away. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast each morning was very good. There is no parking as this part of the city is not open to vehicles, but you can park nearby on the street. Room and hotel lobby area was clean and well kept.
The shower in the bathroom is very small. I am a tall person and it was pretty much impossible to reach down to wash my feet. The room was very nice, but unfortunately we had no view as our window was on the side and there was a terrace with people on it, so we pretty much needed to keep the curtains closed most of the time.
The view from our room was incredible, and the owners were beyond helpful during our stay. They recommended off-the-beaten-path restaurants and cafes, organized cabs, and even helped us find quality Greek liquors.
The place is old, and in need of some obvious repairs.
Great view in iconic old villa; unique bedroom; lovely Cretan breakfast ; fantastic staff
small shower
Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was small but the water pressure is great for such an old property. We definitely would have upgraded to a water-view room if one had been available, but there was a balcony in the common area that we took advantage of when we wanted to. The location is perfect-walking distance to Nea Chora, right on the harbor, close to great restaurants and all our tour meetups. Breakfast was extensive and the dining room lovely. Olga was so sweet and helpful. When we had a tour start before breakfast, she prepared us a breakfast the night before along with sandwiches for the trip.
The WiFi was very slow (streaming and video calling were not possible), but that was perfectly fine for a short stay where neither of us had to work.
very comfortable bed! spacious room.Great service at breakfast time in breakfast room with stunning view across the harbour. excellent position in old town
Everything! Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous little hotel in the best part of town. Olga was a lovely host and spoilt us rotten with her delicious breakfasts and even a packed lunch for a day trip. Probably our top stay this holiday.
