Splanzia Boutique Hotel

We had such a terrific experience here, the rooms are beautiful, comfortable beds, the breakfast is really homemade authentic food made on site by mom. The owners are so friendly and terrific, every suggestion they gave us for day trips turned out perfect

We loved everything — the charming small boutique hotel in the old town, the warm hospitality of Ioannis and Niko, the delicious breakfast, and our spotless, beautifully kept room.

Loved the location right in the old town with parking across the street (need to pre book with hotel). fabulous breakfasts with endless choices of local dishes, eggs, fresh fruit in a lovely inner courtyard… Nikos was super helpful and gave us great restaurant and excursion recommendations. Room was very comfortable.

Great location in the old town. Private parking across the street- 15€ per day. Great breakfast. Nikos and Janis were great helping us in the selection of restaurants and beaches to visit.

Nothing really comes to mind, our stay was simply perfect.

Perfectly located. It has a rooftop lounge area with drying racks for clothes which seem to dry in minutes in the Cretan sunshine. There is a lovely breakfast with way too much food. The owners are both lovely and very helpful in arranging pickup of my rental car, arranging parking, storing our bags for us, calling for restaurant reservations and making recommendations on what to see and what to not bother with.

There was nothing not to like.

Nicos & Ionnis were welcoming and very helpful. The breakfasts were huge and delicious - no lunch needed! The location is excellent. Room 14 had it's own balcony and steps directly to the breakfast courtyard.

Not really a dislike but street parking could be difficult - however we managed to park for free in the streets every day for a fortnight. Secure parking is available but at a cost.

The owners, Nikos and Ioannis, and their staff were fantastic. Great recommendations for restaurant and sites to enjoy. Their HUGE breakfasts were delicious.

Enjoyed our stay very much. It is conveniently located next to the old town and port. Very nice and quiet room. Exceptionally good breakfast. 10 min walk to the bus station. Very attentive staff.

I can’t say enough good things about the property.. The breakfast was amazing they bring you everything to your table and give you so much food.. the yogurt was the best!! Everything Is made to order.. black out curtains!!!So much around the hotel itself. everything is a short walk.. staff is so pleasant and very helpful. Rustic theme with real wooden stairs.. secure building after hours.. very clean.

The only issue we had was the shower water didn’t get hot enough and it would be cool for a second then go back to being warm..

Everything, it was clean, professional, great location, great service and great food. There is no private parking in the old town in Chania which I didn’t know. However listen to the staff, particularly Niko, who gave me the best advice on where to go and what to do. He also showed me where to park. The rooms are amazing there, well maintained and updated. The best beds and pillows too! Also they have a great breakfast, freshly made every morning!

The location, breakfast, nice staff

Not very clean, the blinds had mosquitos and other dead insects on them, the bed mattress was a bit too soft for our taste.

Prime location in the old town, a few minutes from shops, restaurants and the harbour. We had an amazing breakfast of delightful fresh produce in their beautiful tree-shaded, walled backyard. The room was attractive and spotless with good a/c, and was quiet even though it faced the street. The host was super friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, allowing us an extra hour in the room as we had a late flight, and looking after our luggage so we could enjoy the day in Chania before the flight. All in all, a superb experience.

Shower leaked onto the floor somewhat, and the bed was a little saggy, but reasonably comfortable.
