Pros +
- Location
- Location and staff. The heat did not work, but as we were probably the only guests in the hotel, we really didnâ≢t expect them to fire up the furnace for one guest. They brought us an electric heater and that worked perfectly fine!
- Great location. Friendly staff - gave us good tips about what to do. Good breakfast (that was included).
Cons -
- The manager was not available to check us in. We were not informed there would be a charge for breakfast. Menu at front desk did not mention charge.
- Heating was broken. A room heater was included ... that did not do the job adequately. That was the only issue (hence, the low rating on the room). Rest was great.
- Breakfast could have had a little more variety, but we were there off-season. Expect it is more plentiful in the warmer months.

The concierge was very friendly and the room was a decent size and clean. I missed breakfast in the morning, so I can't speak on that. I only stayed for one night, but I can attest to the location being very nice. You're across from what I believe is either an elementary school or a preschool with a playground facing the hotel. The familial atmosphere is very warm and you're a short walk from many of the good restaurants and shops. You're also not too far from the museum and archaeological site which you can walk or drive to. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We were welcomed by the hotel proprietor who was just lovely. He had helped to arrange a private tour for us the following day at Olympia and helped make dinner reservations. Our room was cozy and extremely clean. The balcony looked right out onto the church square and had a nice table and chairs. Curtains were heavy so we could sleep in!

The owner, Theo. He was amazingly friendly unhelpful, but not overbearing.
Great location and very helpful friendly staff!
Beds and furniture are in need of an upgrade.
Family atmosphere from living and dining areas to staff treatment. Ample breakfast with home cured olives (wonderfully different flavor). Homemade jams and baked goods.
Every thing was great.
It is very well kept and appointed as well as warmly welcoming and comfortable. The owners/staff were very kind and helpful for our short stay with a wonderful breakfast, lovely rooms in a charming setting. Loved seeing the Olympic torches-so meaningful. Also appreciated the elevator. Only regret is not staying longer in the area and at this hotel!
The location was ideal, within walking distance of the archeological site and museums, close to the main streets and restaurants. The room was quiet at night. The staff was lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good but was not included in the room price.
We had a room with a king size bed but the mattress was uncomfortable and had a big dip in the middle. It would benefit from being updated. Also the switch for the bathroom light automatically turned on the fan as well, which was very loud.
Breakfast was outstanding. Unlimited coffee. Variety of selection.
The room was clean and comfortable, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that felt just like home.
We liked the hospitality of the proprietors. They were very kind and made sure we had anything we needed or wanted. We also liked sitting out on our balcony.
We had a four person room which ended up being more like a suite. There was a two person bed in one room and there was a second room with two twin beds. The room was comfortable for our group and was clean and quiet. The location was at the end of town, but it was within walking distance to the Olympia archaeological site. We enjoyed wandering around the shops on the main street at night when the street was closed.
The shower was a bit small, but I found that most showers in Greece were on the smaller side.
This is a nice hotel, very cool. The design of the room makes it feel like you are living in a cave.
It was a little musty, and the bed was just okay. Nothing too bad, just not to my liking.
The location was perfect. Walking distance to the major site and the local restaurants. The most valuable highlight is that this location shares amenities with a hotel on the hill called hotel Europa. People staying at hotel Pelops could use the pool at hotel Europa, which was incredible on a hot day. Additionally, the staff at hotel Pelops was unbelievably hospitable. They made us a reservation for dinner at hotel Europa at what I would call probably the best restaurant in all of Greece. Another secret gem of this hotel is it’s history with the Olympics. The fact that actual Olympic torches are accessible to guests is nearly unbelievable. This hotel is very affordable for all of the value that you get, as well as the classic small town charm. I wouldn’t change anything.
I have no notes!
It was fabulous to be able to use the swimming pool at hotel Europa Location was excellent. Room was clean and quiet
A few extra touches could make the room feel different - a bottle of water in the fridge a coffee maker v instant etc
Very clean! Friendly! Walking distance to tourist site! Great view from terrace! Beds very comfortable!
Everything except the breakfast
The breakfast was terrible. Cold eggs no jam, the fruit was full of brown spots no variety and no English breakfast or other caffeinated tea
We had a giant bed with exquisite balcony, walking to all important sites and wonderful farm to table organic food at Orestes restaurant at Theodore’s’ recommendation. A very lovely stay! Thank you all!
