    Pros +

    • The location of the Hotel is perfect to visit the Olympia area. The dinning room is convent and well staffed . The Buffet is well managed with fresh slections . Overall I was well received at check and given full information of the property , dinning and local attractions with offers of any assistance .
    • The location, the breakfast was very good, the staff very friendly and the rooms spacious. Good dinner (buffet) for 20€ per person. The swimming pool looks nice although was cold so we didn’t use it
    • I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I can say that the staff here were the kindest, nicest and most helpful staff I have ever met. Full marks to them. I also liked the pool, which is quiet during the hottest times of the day. The grand, airy public spaces of the hotel eg the vast entrance foyer, the dining room and terrace give the place a kind of 1960s faded glamour - and I mean that as a compliment.

    Cons -

    • Keep up the good work and keep the bar staffed .
    • Everything was OK but be aware that many groups stay in the hotel and could be noisy at breakfast and dinner times
    • The breakfast is excellent but it would be helpful to provide TRAYS which would eliminate the necessity for many journeys to and from the buffet.

Beautiful hotel, including a gorgeous, huge, white marbled lobby area. Close to Ancient Olympia with lots to see and do (restaurants, shots, museums, etc.). Breakfast was delicious with many options. Staff was wonderful. Peaceful, beautiful grounds.

The staff is so very friendly, we felt more than welcome! Nice swimming pool and very calm and green surroundings. Nice beds. Very clean.

It’s a little bit old which you notice by small things like broken hairdryer, shower curtain and blankets.

    9ErwanPosted on: 4-7-2025

Quiet place. Very good location close to the archeologic site.

    10LalitaPosted on: 11-4-2024

It’s a beautiful hotel with nice scenery. The rooms are very spacious. We had a balcony also. There was an awesome dinner buffet for $20. There was a huge selection of vegetables, pasta, salads and desserts. The morning breakfast items had huge selection. Totally impressed with Amalia hospitality. Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very close to the main Archeological sites and museum.

    No negative.

The bed, they can upgrade it. And the rooms need some renovation.

very nice staff, tasteful buffet in the evening

rooms do not deserve 4* rating.Very simple and old. Nothing stylish of cosy. They are clean but quality, smell and atmosphere from the early 80 ties

Everything. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful, making us feel happy to be there. Breakfast was excellent, and we choose to eat at the dinner buffet which far exceeded our expectations.

Amalia is a hotel chain in Greece. The hotel in Olympia was certainly once one of the flagships. But that was forty or fifty years ago. Nevertheless, everything is very well maintained. The architecture is spacious and there is a huge, very cold pool. But you can't overlook the fact that the hotel urgently needs a thorough renovation. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast corresponds to the quality of the hotel, which is mainly used by coaches from 5 pm. The buses also leave again between 7 and 8, which is when it gets noisy in the corridors. You can walk to the ancient part or drive a few minutes by car and park there free of charge.

The staff at the reception and the restaurant were very kind, polite, and attentive. The rooms are big, spacious and very clean. The location is very close to the archaeological site of ancient Olympia.

The hotel is very old and the rooms especially need an upgrade. The hotel is mostly used by big groups coming on tours/excursions. The food at the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast, was very low quality. Dinner food was tasteless, and it was like re-heated food from the day before. It is better to find a dining option outside the hotel. Breakfast was just OK, but nothing special. The toilet in the room smelled a lot like cigarrete in the morning, probably from someone smoking in an adjacent room. Overall, it is a hotel to spend the night and move on with your itinerary, but I would not spend my holidays here.

Nice big hotel and very close to the ancient Olympic monuments. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Recommended to stay!

    9JudithPosted on: 9-26-2024

Very unique hotel in a beautiful landscape. The rooms are old, but super well maintained so I would call it retro and we loved it! Rooms were very quiet. The pool area outside was very nice. Enough, free parking spots. Everyone was very nice and the staff seemed to love their jobs. We stayed one night because we thought it’s a cheap hotel, but we could have easily spend a week in this hotel and the area. Location is perfect! Many restaurants in the city nearby, but I think you have to take the car.

    Breakfast could be better.

Large private room Large swimming poolImpressive entrance area and grounds

The cafeteria style low budget buffet with very ordinary food for both dinner and breakfast The shocking noise in the dining area …. It gave me a headache

Lovely facility, clean, spacious, comfortable and very helpful staff

Distance to Olympia village a bit too far to walk for us as older people

    9AleksandraPosted on: 9-13-2024

Super friendly staff at the counter. Room was big, with a balcony and a bathtub. It seems to be a bit dated, but apart from that the place was clean and tidy.

The pool was supposed to be open until 8:30 PM, but the lifeguard ended his shift at 8:15 and told us to go. Also, expect a lot of people in the restaurant for the early breakfast, as the hotel is a popular destination for organized tours.

The location was lovely just outside Olympia, surrounded by trees with a very good sized swimming pool and lovely gardens. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to help. The rooms were very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was delicious.
