Pros +
- The room, breakfast and swimming pool
- Family run business that was very friendly, relaxed, and helpful. They provided beach towels for me to use off the premises and I enjoyed the daily breakfast and botanical garden in the back. Very cozy stay, although the bed was very hard and a bit uncomfortable.
- Loved the individual bungalows and the friendly, helpful staff.
Cons -
- The gym can be improve. Only one yoga mattress and one dumbbell weight is not enough
- The beds were extremely hard, but we know that is not unusual in Europe.
- My bed was not very comfortable and there was a very bright spotlight that shined in my room at night so it was hard to sleep.

Family run business that was very friendly, relaxed, and helpful. They provided beach towels for me to use off the premises and I enjoyed the daily breakfast and botanical garden in the back. Very cozy stay, although the bed was very hard and a bit uncomfortable.

The beds were extremely hard, but we know that is not unusual in Europe.
It was a historic property with all modern amenities. Staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The pool and gardens were lovely. There was a nice garden. It was a beautiful venue that would be fun with a large group of friends or family. I was alone, it was relaxing.
My bed was not very comfortable and there was a very bright spotlight that shined in my room at night so it was hard to sleep.
Lovely estate, nice family bungalow, very clean, nice pool and sauna, friendly staff, we didn’t try out the restaurant nor bar but looked nice, daily housekeeping, close to main sites, welcome drink
Steam room wasn’t working, kitchen in bungalow lacked some basic amenities (vegetable peeler, toaster, scissors, good knives), noisy neighbours, outside seating not enough for 4
It was well located, with a supermarket close by and free parking. Employees were all extremely nice and helpful. Sauna was also a plus. Breakfast was also good and dinner at the hotel was always delicious and affordable.
Parts of the hotel seemed a bit run down. Pool floor was lifting and bathroom in the room has what looked to be a bit of mold. Hammam next to the sauna was not working. I wouldn’t consider it a 4 star hotel, rather a 3 star at most.
I had booked a nearby AirBnB that was not as described and needed an emergency place to stay. This place was clean, comfortable and had lovely, helpful staff. This hotel saved my trip! I observed staff emptying the contents of a large book cabinet and clean the inside and organize all the books, the gardens are lovely, the staff was welcoming and kind to me. I was happy with how quiet my room was. A gem!
The breakfast could use more variety, like the eggs served in the metal warmer were cold and the breakfast eggs/bacon were the same every morning. More variety would be nice (pancakes, waffles, French toast, hard boiled eggs). Nice fruit options though. I would have preferred a scalding hot shower
The history relative privacy of the cottages. Lots of space toWonder around.
The wiper snipper operator buzzed around our cottage when he could have gone to another unoccupied cottage. The gardens have been neglected. The once old botanical gardens have been neglected for a very long time. Our cottage had broken glass pane. So window was fogged.
- beautiful property - lovely staff- nice facilities such as sauna, pool
- the bed in the suite was small- no coffee/tea/kettle in the room- the interior of the room is a bit cold, not much to sit on other than a chair and single bed- breakfast was ok but lacked variety
Facilities were excellent, pool, steam room, sauna etc. Our dinner was excellent.
Our room was good but could use a renovation, the mattress was reasonably comfortable but a small double bed.
Everything is fantastic, starting with the team, and the place is a real historical gate, we stayed in the suite, the room is well ventilated with terrace access & window, hair dryer, fridge, microwave, kettle, thermostatic shower with adjustable temperature, plus the pool is wow
Parking on site
Old and worn rooms. The restaurant served an awful buffet dinner. The cheapest small dishes and rock hard meat. The receptionist was arrogant
Breakfast good, but expensive
Restaurant (dinner) lousy, reception not permanently manned, limited parking
Great rooms with all necessary items for a long stay in a beautiful and calm location. Incredible staff, very friendly and helpful, they even surprised us with a fruit basket and bottle of champagne on our anniversary. Would definitely recommend for a couple for a short or long stay.
Because of the garden and nature sometimes their is a lot of noise for maintenance. However, this is not really a big issue when you are in the room because they are well isolated.
Very nice setting, nice atmosphere, style, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
This is a new hotel, just renovated.STAFF is incredible, super friendly and ready to help you anytime. Great tips. The owner is very nice and owns a fantastic library (and have such great suggestions). Atmosfere is elegant. For sure I will come back when back in Terceira! Thanks!
Beautiful environment, nice staff, easy to access.
Giant cockroaches, no mosquito net, no drying rack for clothes, poor equipment, we needed ASK for toilet paper twice during our 1-week stay and ask for a little bathroom cleaning.
Great hotel, nice pool.
Breakfast wasn’t great. There’s bar service at the pool, but one must first find an employee.
Bungalow was spacious. The bed was comfortable. Remote location . Pool was clean and refreshing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bins emptied every day.Couple of supermarkets at about 5 min by car. A lot of nice walking trails and uncrowded beaches nearby.
Lack of thorough cleaning. Outdated and broken furniture. Missing cushions for the garden furniture. Missing a few kitchen utensils. No coffee machine. Accommodation near a busy and narrow road. Car needed. Not enough lounges by the pool.
Location is convenient. Plenty of parkings. Staffs are nice and helpful.
The property looks nice from first glance, but all the garden areas are so disorganized and a little messy. Bed sheets and blankets have lots of hairs stuck on the fabric, so I had to go ask for a clean one at 1am. However, the biggest problem of the staying was their cockroach problem. They got into the room in the kitchen area and around the refrigerator. If you walk outside at night, you would see dozens and dozens of large size cockroaches running around. Every time I walked by, they made me so stressed out. So we had to limit our times going out at night. Even though they sent exterminators the next morning, we stillhad one dead cockroach the last day of our stay in the kitchen. I don’t recommend staying there if you are afraid of big bugs.
