Pros +
- Beautiful views. Lovely staff.
- The location on the ocean was beautiful and parking was good. The menu was very limited but the food was good. The rooms and decor were more American looking rather than quaint Irish.
- We liked everything about our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodation, the food in the restaurant was top class, facilities were very good for the hotel
Cons -
- This hotel needs a major upgrade! When we arrived, the room was not clean, the shower door was off its rail, garbage still in the bin. We advised the front desk, she was very concerned and offered to switch us rooms. But we paid for the view and the alternate room was overlooking a kitchen vent with no view. We opted to stay in our room. The following morning, advised a different front desk staff member that the shower door needed fixing and the shower didn’t drain and the room was dirty - garbage on floor and under beds. Went out for the day and returned to the room cleaned up, shower door still off the rail. Beds were clean but old, you could feel the bed springs in your back. There is no mention of the room being over a bar and the music late into the evening on the weekend was ridiculous. Breakfast was good.
- The property was very isolated. The beds were very uncomfortable with springs pointing out and slanting to the sides. The steam room and sauna were broken. The pool was nice but there were swimming lessons being given in the evenings which made it loud rather than relaxing. For a hotel labeled “spa” I was expecting a bit more.
- The bed was a little uncomfortable but was manageable and the main door handle was a little hard to open

Lovely friendly staff, great facilities and lovely breakfast with a stunning view.
Beautiful location
The bed reminded me of being on a raft at sea. The room was very clean and a good size. The hotel itself needs a good face lift. Beautiful location.
Superb location, friendly helpful staff, generally food facilities
The bed in our room was atrocious, one of the worst I've ever attempted to sleep in. For me it was a painful sleepless night. Friends of ours fared slightly better but it's definitely something that needs serious improvement.

Great staff, friendly.Dinner was delicious, stuffed chicken breast - special suggested by waiter & it didn't disappoint. Breakfast had good choices with fabulous views of harbour. Pool & sauna were welcome after a long drive.
Location was lovely the view was spectacular food in the restaurant was good staff friendly. Not much to do around the town hotel was the only place open you definitely need a car to travel and explore .
The room was quite clean but there was cobwebs on the ceiling and the room would need updated and repainted. Going down the back stairs cobwebs on walls and ceilings . coming in front door a Rentokil box at the entrance not a good first impression. Bar food was poor wings over done salad didn't look fresh partner got pizza wasn't good .
Location and downstairs layout.
Bed was small and rather hard.,also pillows too pumped up.Toilet seat very small and ill fitting. The food menu disappointing.
Beautiful location and views from the hotelStaff were excellant and very accommodating
Only thing is that to get have any fresh air in the room the patio door needed to be open and this would not be safe overnite.
Its location & leisure centre.
There was a very rundown feel to the place even though it's been renovated. There was a distinct lack of any little extra comfort. There was no soap for the sink - we had to use the shower gel from the shower to wash our hands. There was only 1 pod of milk for tea/coffee. The curtains fell from the window when I closed them. All they needed were new hooks. The remote control for the TV didn't work for volume & even when I tried to get it changed the receptionist said that there was never any complaints about the TV before! As if we were to blame & we had only just checked in!! She begrudgingly moved us to another room. The walls were like cardboard & we could hear everything said next door.
The room was basic. The beds were old. There wasn't anything comfortable about it. The breakfast food was not tasty. The bar food was good. The bar area needed a good cleaning. The staff everywhere in the hotel was absolutely marvelous
The location
It’s an old hotel. Rooms not kept great. No cleaning during your stay. Bathroom wasn’t very clean when arrived. Check in at 3 we couldn’t check in until 4.30.
Good view over the harbour
The dinner was terrible with very badly overcooked fish
Great location with a very good room and very friendly staff - good breakfast but dinner wasn’t great.
One of the main courses (mussels) was very poor and no comment from the waitress who collected the uneaten dish (or can asked how it was). Other dish was fine.
It was a lovely location, a very quiet peaceful area- super close to the beach!
The hotel is overlooking the huge bay and you are looking directly at Donegal. If you pre book a room on the huge balcony, the views are exceptional. The dining room view is beyond belief. the food is great and the service too.we have stayed there many times and intend going back soon.
the bar notice board was not outside with their hilarious comments on
Setting was lovely
But more atmosphere and the only place in Ireland we stayed that didn’t have entertainment
Unbeatable location in the heart of the harbour with a lively bar
Rooms are basic with cheap mattresses on the beds
