- Having researched IOM for several years, we found the Rutland to be everything we hoped for. The seafront hotel is everything Douglas! It is clean and comfortable, updated without losing its historic charm. The breakfast buffet provided everything to prepare us for the convenient bus service right outside that took us all across the island. We will not hesitate to book again when we return!

Cons -
- Nothing to dislike!
- Instant coffee for breakfast, beds too small, room nothing like the one shown in photos

Room on the small side and had a couch that was grubby. The view was a brick wall 2 meters away.Water was cold for one day and kettle didn't work. But problems were quickly addressed by the very helpful staff.Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and the food in hotel was excellent.Regarding the room and en suite they were spotlessly clean.
Very spacious room, good breakfast, great location
I could not find fault with this hotel
Breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was spotlessly clean.
It was in a good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I could hear the smallest sound from the occupants next door or nearby. My pop up hotel at the TT village had more insulation.
Great breakfast , comfy beds , nice staff . Been before and would stay there again.
Traditional sea front hotel. Very helpful staff!
Obviously very grand in its day, but a bit worn round the edges now.
Super breakfast staff very efficient and friendly Great carvery dinner
Room view was depressing
I liked the breakfast and the evening show.
I was expecting a room with a view and the room had nothing.
Great room, shower room with comfy bed. Good location for villa marina buses and Trams.Near to lift, no noise problems with it.Great breakfast.
nothing of note
Comfy beds, great breakfast and friendly staff. Also a great location, at a great price.
The staff in the hotel were excellent. Very helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We were served little easter eggs with breakfast on Easter Sunday which was a lovely touch. Good location on the sea front. Lovely big windows to look out to the beach from the breakfast room. Bus stop across the road with regular service to the city centre and airport. 10 minute walk from the Derby Castle stop for the horse tram.
Bed was a little too firm Breakfast was good but it would be nice to have more of a selection of meat and cheeses.Bar in the hotel seemed to close very early.
It's a quaint hotel, with its 'cozy' lift and narrow corridors, its nice wee snug bar and entertainment. It was lovely.
Comfortable beds, everything you need in the room. Hairdryer TV etc. They kept hold of our cases after checkout as we weren't saying until 8pm. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of variety
Someone walking around around 1am in the room above.
Staff were very friendly and helpful everything we asked for wasn't a problem,.Great breakfast and food availability
Uncomfortable bed and uncomfortable pillows and bad quality toilet roll
room was clean and tidy , breakfast was great , staff was good /pleasant
The mattress on the bed was horrible / big dips in it , very uncomfortable , sofa bed was better !
Nice clean rooms good breakfast good location on sea front
Nothing I can think of
I'd booked a standard room but was upgraded to an executive room with an amazing sea view! The bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was perfect with a great selection of food and the staff were very friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble ? would happily stay here again.
