Pros +
- nothing the bar staff where poor stud waiting in a cue for 15 mins when it came to my turn he walk over to serve some girls who had just came in, not best pleased
- The gym and pool were very nice and it was very clean and tidy.Staff were polite and curtious and helpful when asked questions or if you needed something Breakfast was included in the price, which was not too bad, and was plentiful and you had a good selection to choose from.
- The pool was nice and steam room
Cons -
- ate some buffet prawns which gave me a realy bad upset stomach spent a lot of the night in the bathroom, also the bed mattress springs where sticking out very very uncomfortable, needs updating would not eat in that restaurant again
- When entering from the promenade doorway, you are greeted with a horrendous smell, emanating from the carpet that looks like it hasn't seen a cleaned for years, it is that dirty and polished by the footfall of those attending the hotel and casino. The toilet in our room keep faulting, and it wouldn't flush and for the three nights we were there and we ended up using the public toilets near the resteraunt. When reported we weren't offered a different room but they did attend promptly 'fixing' the problem via and external flushing mechanism in the corridor, only for it to fail again that evening. We only ate one evening meal at the hotel. The quality was pretty poor and not very well cooked or presented.
- Bed were too uncomfortable especially the sofa bed the mattress doesn't exist.

Breakfast and rooms
Couldn’t go into the leisure area the day of checking out.
Breakfast was excellent and efficient. I come here once a year to watch the rugby fixture so the rooms need only to be adequate, which they are and a twin room for £35 per person per night is good value. There was a new bar area from when we last visited which was a welcome addition to the casino area.
To be honest the majority of the hotel is tired and in need of serious refurbishment. But that is reflected in the price. As long as rooms were adequate and the breakfast was good, that is all we needed
A basic but comfortable stay. Right on the sea front so great views. Parking at the rear. Good value for money
Decor Seems a little dated
Great buffet breakfast. Good central location with car park
Location is good. Good view of the sea front.
No hot water on the floor we stayed on on the day we were checking out. When we advised reception they they were not very apologetic. It was as if it didn't matter because we were leaving.Difficult to get a drink at the bar. Took around 20 mins to get servedRoom was comfortable but could do with update.
Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful.
Check in was underwhelming. I even had to ask what our room number was!
Lovely swimming pool and surrounding area - steam room etc.
Room backed onto car park therefore no view. Bathroom very dated in need of updating.Service at breakfast was slow, on several occasions I had to ask a member of staff to clear a table.Long wait for poached eggs.Stairwell to swimming pool in need of refreshing - paint work pealing off walls - very tired looking.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, clean and tidy room and an excellent breakfast buffet, all for a very good price, thank you.
There was nothing that we didn't like about our stay.
It's on the promenade and beach. The bar is a lovely place to chill out for a pint. Overall its a nice place with a great view
The place is looking tired and dated
Location
So dated The bedrooms are tired Pool quite cold
Position it’s in good location friendly staff well good cleaners good room service nice food
This is just for your help the main walk through to from reception to the lifts smelled of mould it’s the area as you get off the lifts to looks bar where vending machines are That’s only criticism other then that the place was lovely this isn’t a put down just some helpful advice
Evening meal in paragon suite was excellent
Bathroom toilet seat didn’t fit . Sink very slow to empty . Light bulb out above bed
It was easily accessible
I could not get a shower or bath as the water was freezing cold. I went down and spoke with the night manager and he assured me that the water had been put on at 3am and I should keep the water running. This did not improve and I informed the manager when I departed at 6am
Rooms are clean, there's a hairdryer and an iron facility in the room
The bed was not comfortable unfortunately
Sea views, helpful and friendly staff
The promenade entrance needs updating, carpet is grubby. The internet connection is patchy.
Good location, comfy room
Alot noise could here from corridor and other rooms
Very central, ideal for disabled guest
When entering the hotel the smell was awful, carpets smell very bad, lifts smell awful. I actually took air freshener from my car and sprayed the carpets in the lifts. They need cleaning it’s a simple remedy.
