Clean, comfortable room, helpful and pleasant staff, ideal parking for our motorbike and sidecar.
The location is superb. The food was excellent and the staff were nice and courteous.
This property is tired. No heating in the restaurant, the heating in the hotel room was terrible. The whole time I was there I had to wear my coat. The room is well overdue an upgrade.
Excellent location, super friendly/helpful staff.
Mattress was a little soft compared to home.Cooked breakfast was excellent, but could have been hotter. I appreciate that keeping 'buffet' items piping hot us not easy.
Fabulous location close to Town and accross from the sea. Staff on reception was super helpful .
The hotel rooms are tired and in need of updating. The furniture is the same as it was 20 years ago and it’s showing age. The bed was uncomfortable with bad springs. The shower valves were really stiff and difficult to turn on and off . The sink was cracked and crazed. Housekeeping every third day not daily .
My room was refurbished and the bathroom and sofa were great.
Location, parking, staff helpful
The room was very clean and tidy the TV didn't work reported it and fixed really quickly.
There was nothing wrong at all
Staff were fabulous..both at reception and dining.Room large and warm, lovely bathroom.
Pool area had cracked tiles along it... changing area smelt awful and was extremely cold.
We loved the atrium, the pool and the comfort of the room
Nothing!
Everything about the Sefton is good location, food , staff excellent
The weather
Pleasant hotel used for work visit not holiday, staff helpful and polite breakfast was OK
THe hotel could do with a little update and TLC but was clean and tidy
Friendly staff. Excellent refurbished rooms with balcony.
Everything the staff where excellent the room was superb and the breakfast was excellent overall are stay was fantastic
I didn't like what they have done to Norman's bar
Nice large room with plenty of space and good breakfast. Ideal location for our requirements.
Off season some facilities were not as available as may have been ideal but probably understandable.
Staff were excellent, friendly and very accommodating. They kindly ensured we were allocated to a wheelchair accessible room.Room was big and clean, and very comfortable beds with enough pillows. Very close to Douglas city centre - so convenient.
The hotel itself is quite outdated, and the lift is quite small. One of the lifts were a struggle to get out of with a (portable) powerchair due to the floor being a bit uneven. Also too many heavy doors to open - impossible to get through without help when in a wheelchair. Understand it has the charm of an old building, but some small parts could really use with a revamp!
Location and friendly, helpful staff. Comfy bed.
The hotel is tired. Carpet was threadbare in places.
The location is great, free parking a bonus considering the sea front location. Like many big old seaside hotels some of the communal areas have lost their sparkle, but the staff are exceptionally helpful and everywhere is clean and tidy.If you are training to swim the channel then the pool is not really going to be for you, but if you fancy a bit of a splash about it is good enough and a nice way to spend half an hour or so.
