Nothing.. Wi-Fi signal a little weak in our room but that’s a very minor problem!

We had a suite and it was stunning, with beautiful decor. In a great location next door to a bakery an plenty of places to it and a 2 min walk to the château.

The location.

The access to the first floor suites is via a steep staircase. The mezzanine bedroom ( within the suite) is accessed via another dangerous staircase. The rather dated bathroom has a shower over the bath which again is difficult to use.The suite itself is very tired and in need of updating. The accommodation is unsuitable for older guests.

Its a very cosy little boutique. It has two separate swimming pools and two separate garden areas that help make it very cosy. It's very dog-friendly.

The hotel is really nice, in the middle of a village overlooking the Loire river. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

Breakfast wasn’t included and perhaps a bit overpriced at 20euro. Especially as we are not big breakfast eaters and only have something small.

The memories we had of visiting last year encouraged us to return. However, we were very disheartened to realise the service and facilities had plummeted - especially considering we returned as part of our honeymoon. The spa condition was not nice and no staff in sight generally - we weren’t even properly checked in!

Well to start with, we checked in late and received an email with instructions along with a note at reception once we arrived as the desk wasn’t manned past 9pm. All okay, until the following morning when we asked if possible to pay for a room upgrade (there was a suite available) considering it was our honeymoon, but the only staff member on site - Victor- couldn’t even be bothered to turn around and get up out of his seat to converse with us. It took him over a day to get back to us about said upgrade and initially we were told we would have to pay the difference (an additional €36 per night), and then the next morning when we were due to move rooms we were told to pay the entire amount of the new room (€270 per night. A total of €810) instead of the difference. Very confusing, and we were told no there was no one else to speak to about this and we were left with a blank and very disinterested look from him. No customer service skills whatsoever and the issue wasn’t a language barrier. It is unfortunate that last year when we visited this was a genuinely great boutique hotel, but now in 2024 has been left to rot under abysmal customer service. A shining example that people really do make a business and putting the wrong ones in charge can make it suffer greatly .

Location

The Wi-Fi was atrocious! You would not stay here for business if wifi was important. Power points were scarce and hard to access. None in the bathroom and the kettle cord had to be plugged in behind the tv.

Beautiful hotel in great location. Right on the Loire River, with a few nice restaurants, bars and galleries

Very nice SPA facilities: sauna, hammam, indoor pool with jacuzzi. It was too cold to try the outside pool, but in warmer season must be amazing. Towels and bathrobes are provided.The room was simple but very comfy, we had a view across the street on the river. Some nice touches in the room decoration (like an old michelin guide from 50s/60s and unique wood deco elements in the room) made it very cosy and helped to disconnect from the routine! :) We also found the bed very comfortable.Great variety in breakfast choices.

Our room was very spacious (family of 3 adults and 1 baby) and the decoration is beautiful.

I stayed in such a beautiful room. The hotel is just lovely and my stay was wonderful. They provided such a great experience, it was relaxing and peaceful, the staff, the rooms, the hotel and everything was exceptional. I hope to stay again soon.
