Pros +
- Location was fine. Nice breakfast room and spa but didn't use either
- Given the price I paid, I absolutely do not recommend this place.
- Good location, comfortable bed and great views from the room
Cons -
- outdated, old, scratchy sheets, thin walls, bed too close to the door (layout super weird), staff seemed clueless and we'd asked for a taxi pick up which never arrived
- I stayed in a room that was in desperate need of a complete renovation. The walls were dirty and cracked, the doors and frames were chipped and peeling, and the floor was scratched and uneven. The bathroom looked nothing like the photos shown in the hotel presentation — in reality, it was outdated and seemed to be at least 20 years old. One of the towels I received was literally black with dirt. The water pressure in the bathroom was so low that it was impossible to take a proper shower. On top of that, the sound insulation was practically nonexistent — I could hear every step and noise coming from the neighboring rooms and ceiling. Given the price I paid, I absolutely do not recommend this place.
- The SPA and Wellness center is awful. Coming to the hotel after ski was the biggest disappointment to find out that the pool is cold and my daughter (5 yo) couldn’t use any of the amenities. The jacuzzi is outside and it’s small. It was full of outside people, not hotel guests, mostly man who were washing themselves on the showers naked and there was a strong smell of cannabis in the whole SPA area. Definitely not a kids friendly zone!!! Also, I have paid for 2 adultes and a child room rate, and in my reservation was written that child stays for free. At check out I was forced to pay additional CHF 80 for the child's bed, which I had never requested, because my daughter sleeps with us. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THIS HOTEL!!!!

Facilities were great, amazing infrastructure. Jacuzzi could be a biiit warmer but overall sauna, pool and jacuzzi were amazing! Room has a lot of space which I really appreciated. Breakfast was also impeccable, I miss it already!
The mattress had a memory foam pillow top that I really really dislike, as it’s super bad for my back (I have a hernia and memory foam mattresses make it worse) but I understand it’s something a lot of guests appreciate. So it’s not a negative review, just a comment haha
The team is so kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, the facilities are wonderful
If I had to complain, I'd ask for the steam room to be open earlier.
Location was nice near the lake, small balcony off the roomFacing the mountains was lovely!
Central location, with nice views and a cosy lobby bar. Nice spa. Very friendly people.
Breakfast is wonderful. The staff (three is only one) at the breakfast is very good, friendly, helpful and efficient. Food at breakfast is fresh, and there is a good variety to choose from
The check in staff is a bit cold. The balcony in the room is a bit tired, otherwise it offers a great place to rest with a fantastic mountain view
Location, views, and room furnishings
Staff attitude was very negative and borderline rude
Spa looks good but I did not tried itThe gym is nice but a bit old and not well manteined
In general maintenance. Toilets / bathroom are old furnishedmattresses are very oldhangers were brokenAutomatic blinder was half brokenThe hotel is really well placed but needs some hard maintenance on some aspects.
I chose this hotel for the spa, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed my massage and steam room. There's also a sauna and pool. The hotel is easily accessible from downtown and close to everything.
My room was on the first floor. It was a lovely room with a generous amount of space, balcony and nice views..but next time I would ask for a room on the second or third floors for an even more breathtaking view.
Great view. Very nice stuff. Very disent breakfast.
1. The hotel allows external guests for the spa. It makes it impossible to use since it gets too crowded. I spent in the hotel 3 nights and after the first day I never went back to spa. People also don’t respect simple rules as sitting on the towel in a sauna. 2. Rooms have a very nice view but they are not renovated.
Everything was fantastic, decent views, comfortable room with a great balcony, close to the hiking trails!
Everything. Location. Our room view with the balcony. Very kind and hospitable staffs.
Few selections for breakfast but the existing are good enough for me. But they could add some more.
Quite spacious room with a nice terrace overlooking the Alps. Olivia is great and she was very helpful, providing information before and during the stay. The hotel has parking places (outdoors, and indoors) which was very handy. Staff very friendly and welcoming, and a good variety for breakfast! The hotel also has an accessible spa (didn't have time to see it unfortunately)Will definitely recommend Hotel Art de Vivre!
amazing service, very kind and responsive staff; many facilities: wellness area / little kids room / parking / bar and restaurant
-
really nice shower. Gym is well furnished and nice
restaurant was closed even tho in the reservation process they said it was open
The spa was especially great after our long hike to the Bisse de Tsittoret. Unfortunately one of the saunas wasn't available, but the Dampfbad and the hot sauna out in the garden, plus the jacuzzi with a view were much appreciated. We loved the cold dunking pool between sauna sessions!
Unfortunately due to staff restrictions there was only one chef in the kitchen, which meant long waits for dinner. The dinner was delicious nevertheless.
Location was fantastic close to the lake and a short pleasant walk to the town and golf course. The staff (front desk and service staff) were exceptional, polite, profesional and friendly. The restaurant food was exceptional and complimented with diligent and professional service staff...even if you dont stay at the hotel i recommend booking dinner in the restaurant.
No complimentary water in the room.
Good
pillows not so good. matress too soft. room small.
