Royal Hotel Montevergine

The room was nothing like the pictures advertised. I canceled my reservation immediately after seeing the room. Although the booking included free cancellation, the hotel refused to refund my payment

We were welcomed by the hotel staff at midnight, which was fantastic. Everything was great, and the breakfast was excellent. We went to visit the Sanctuary of Montevergine at Sebastiano's suggestion, it's a beautiful place! I highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was good.

The Property was very nice and clean.

The checkin was later and we had to wait for the room to be ready.

The location was great for our purposes which was to hike up to the Monastary, the staff or one of the waiters in the dining room was friendly and accommodating even though he spoke no English he was happy to converse using translators and was friendly.

Most of the other staff were a bit overrun and nothing was made clear about the spa access or how the dining worked etc The rooms are quite dated and in need of some modernising, the walls were a bit scuffed and had lots of marks and the bathroom didn’t seem to make sense with how it was arranged, the sink was partly hanging over the toilet and it was a bit strange, the beds also are quite uncomfortable and the walls quite thin so we could hear a lot of banging about and noises form nearby rooms. Would not reccomended the Spa facilities which drawn us to the hotel. The photos are not an accurate representation of what we were presented with. Infs red sauna which would not go over 45c so ineffective in any way, a shower with broken dials they called an “emotional shower”, the hot tub was in a separate room but we didn’t go inside as the first part was quite disappointing and we were already late to leave.

Everything is old and not comfortable at all. Breakfast was poor. Very noisy - not soundproof at all. Shower is the worst

The staff is excellent - very warm and always happy to help. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and serves nice breakfast. It is quite convieniently positioned just off the motorway and overlooks the valley.

Clean and with very friendly staff. We have been fine. Great location and fresh air.Great cappuccino for breakfast and the croissants were also fresh and flavorful.

The WIFI not alway available in the room but it was not a problem. We had a good stay!

Good hospitality. Stay is near Santuary of Montevergine, Easy for Pilgrimage. Church was beautiful. Great place for one night stay with family.
