    Pros +

    • Excellent hotel and location. Very mansion with charming interior and exterior with history - loved it. Location perfect and it is close to Luso town and also bussaco forest and palace. Staff very nice, breakfast buffet perfect - I really recommend it
    • This museum hotel has a beautiful setting on the top of a hill with the Termes de Luso very close by. The breakfast was superb, and the staff was very attentive. It was a very comfortable stay with many good restaurants within walking distance. Nuno gave us many great suggestions of nearby sites and restaurants.
    • Complimentary breakfast was good, staff was very attentive.Front desk excellent, called me a taxi and reserved dinner but the place was closed so recommended an alternate restaurant.bar was closed, think under renovation.Free parking in back.Great AC.

    Cons -

    • the hotel could invest in some comfort items like pillows, swimming pool towels and a/c in the rooms, but all the basics for a great experience are there
    • Car park is a little limited and cramped with tricky access on to the main road but there is adequate free on street parking nearby.
    • Nothing to report.

Breakfast was great, very complete and tasty. All the staff were extremely nice. The owner of the hotel explainned us the history behind the hotel which was amazing. It is a Kids friendly hotel, with an amazing pool and garden with a gazeboo. In this hotel you can breath history, is very beautiful and well-conserved and is a gem in the Bussaco.

the old style decor resembles a traditional english BnB and the breakfast was great. The swimming pool and garden at the end of the day completed the experience.

Location was great for gathering Luso spring water and hiking Bussaco forest and Palacio. The pool was heavenly and breakfast was nice. Very nice owners.

One of the best hotels I stayed. The manager of the hotel Dr. Nuno Alegre published the newspaper containing humorized history of Portugal and the hotel. He told us about archeological excavations in Luso he made and interesting founding. Bravo!

Everything is really good. The breakfast is really good. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Located in a large old house just outside the town centre, it is almost a museum with numerous display cabinets containing a fascinating collection of old clocks and other mechanical and musical artifacts, a hobby of the owner. We had a clean comfortable room (complete with its own old tapestry) with large terrace giving an excellent view of the town and countryside. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good buffet style breakfast.

Car park is a little limited and cramped with tricky access on to the main road but there is adequate free on street parking nearby.

Nice staff, antique hotel, excellent view, very quiet, large room

The views from the quaint balcony. On the left, the plain, the woods and the vineyards of the Bairrada region. On the right, the town and its houses spreading uphill.

    Nothing to report.

Period property. Huge terrace to our room, spectacular views. Nice garden. Helpful owner.

Room was very small. Lack of mod cons - no air-conditioning and no kettle in the room. Bed small and very basic. Bathroom had been modernised but access to shower was very restricted. Parking was scarily tight (though we managed once everyone else had left).

A beautifully decorated hotel that made me feel like I was transported back in time. Very clean. Ample room and a balcony. Swimming pool. Walkable into town if you are interested in a restaurant, bar, or the thermal spa. Breakfast was bountiful, diverse, and delicious. Pleasant staff. Hotel ambiance was noteworthy, especially all the clocks in the breakfast room. View.

Absolutely Nothing, a super hotel that should be rated 4 stars in my opinion.

We loved having the bedroom with the private terrace overlooking the town. It was a fantastic last night to our stay in Portugal.

    Everything great

Comfortable, nice area and nice to be able to relax at the pool after a hike.

The room was a bit dark and in the heat we missed a refrigerator to cool some drinks, as there was no bar at the hotel.

Very spacious and comfortable room at high level with a panoramic view of the city, free on-site parking and friendly staff.

The hotel is quite historic but very clean and simple. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The location is excellent in city centre of Luso village. There's a nice swimming pool as well to be used on sunny days.

The Hotel has no lift so that's a detail to think about if you have mobility restrictions. The internet even with several WiFi ID the signal was quite weak. In the room with a couple only a bottle of water was provided instead of 2x. In general was really good and recommended but some details could be improved.
