The traditional Hotel Rauter is located in the center of Matrei in East Tyrol, close to the cable car. Breakfast and coffee was very good.
Far away from what I would expect by 4 stars hotel.My room was stinky. The floor carpet was dirty and looked awefull. It was dark in the room, one of windows had broken handle. Sofa was old and used with some dirt spots. The vending machine was broken. WIFI was disconnecting all the time.At the end I was asked to pay for the bottle of water that was standing on the table.
