- This is our fourth time in Matala and fourth time at Hotel Neos. Cornelia and Michael are gentle and attentive hosts, always happy to have a talk with you. Breakfast is ok, rooms are tidy and clean. The Hotel is close to Matala centre and the beach (going on foot) in a very quiet position.

- Cozy family run Hotel in a quiet place close to Matala centre but far enough from city noises and crowd (you can go on foot to Matala centre, restaurants, stores and beach). Cornelia and Michael are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also good.
Cons -
- Need to pay extra 5 euros for AC, which is hard not to take when it's 30 degrees outside. Some part of the breakfast were also extra. Expected more services included without having to pay more each time you need something
- I suggest a mosquito net at the door- windows.
- when I arrived at the property the owner instantly turned me away without checking my booking and said I must be mistaken and pointed to the hostel which I found quite rude considering I am a young traveller - I then showed her my booking and she stood corrected and started to prepare my room. The pool was dirty and I don’t think it gets cleaned and no other visitors were using it. The lawn area around the hotel could have some life and the breakfast was pretty bland and wish there were more options. I wasn’t aware that you also have to pay €5 per day to use the air con. For the amount you have to pay here I honestly don’t think it’s worth it.

Made to feel very welcome, what a great find.. the hosts have a lovely way of making you feel like family, the hotels location is fantastic just a nice 8/9 minute stroll from the bay and all the fantastic restaurants and bars, it is also spotlessly clean, air con is wonderful, breakfast is simple and very chilled under the beautiful veranda area, such good value for money. Bathroom is small but everthing worked fine.
