The desk staff were very helpful arranging our room for us. The breakfast provided was above average for this area. The pool was very clean and well maintained. Short LEVEL 5 minute walk into town and the beach

I thought the sheets were actually clean, and didn't feel skeevy...

It was like a Motel6...service was SoSo, rooms were functional,...everything was dated, pool was out of service at the time (but they had arranged for us to swim next door ( which was a much nicer spot!) This place has great potential...but someone needs to give it a nice upgrade and it will be great.

Very friendly owner. Very good breakfast! Walking distance to the centre, yet in a quiet area. Good facilities and swimming pool.

Very comfortable! Simply furnished with great beds. Plentiful, varied breakfast with a lot of choices. Great staff, very thoughtful. Wonderful pool and surrounding garden.

Great place to spend a couple of days in Matala, walking distance from the beach and nearby attractions, decent breakfast and very friendly staff! The pool is very nice after your swim at the beach!!

The Coral was the best and most atmospheric hotel we stayed in in Greece. It is ideally l;ocated, spotlessly clean, spacious and the owner and staff are very helpful and friendly.

We only spend 2 nights at Coral.But it was great!The Manager of the Hotel, Eleni, is very sweet and so Friendly, she is just lovely!The Breakfast ist perfekt, they offer a lot of different things, so there is everything for everyones taste! Its just a small walk to the beach and the center of Matala.The Rooms are simple but good and very clean and the beds are very good.We will definitely come back next year and we can really recommend the Coral Hotel.

The accommodation is located a 10-minute walk from the center of Matala in a quiet and peaceful area. It also includes a parking lot. The apartment was very pleasant, with a friendly terrace. The staff is nice and very helpful. The breakfast was very good. I recommend the accommodation.

The location of the hotel is really good and the owner is very friendly, which creates very nice, family-like atmosphere in the hotel. Breakfast was very good :) the room was clean. We are very satisfied with our stay.

It was just what we needed- the room was clean, the owner was warm, welcoming and very accommodating.

I went to Matala for the Music festival , had no issues at all, every thing was fine for my needs, the location was perfect 5 min walk from the beach , far enough away not to hear the concert should you leave early, the staff / owner were super friendly and helpful

the bed was a bit firm / hard for my preference , but still slept very well

the staff were excellent very helpful kind and friendly the property is in great conditionbreakfast was lovely with some homemade goodiesfacilities to suit both couples and families

Great location! Only 10 mins walk from the town, restaurants, shops and beach, but also away from the bustle.Very friendly and helpful staff and very clean.

Hard mattrasses. Not a problem for a couple of nights but not good for a longer stay, especially if you are middle aged or older

We loved the meticulous attention to the grounds of Hotel Coral - the lush, flowering plants and trees, the cleanliness of the rooms and pool. The Hotel is about a half mile to the village center and the setting with the dramatic cliffs and mountains is wonderful. The proprietor gave us a room with an oversize balcony overlooking the pool, complete with chairs, little table and umbrella, drying rack for wet bathing suits and towels. This is a quiet, low-key little gem of a hotel; a breakfast spread was available. We feel very lucky to have found this place. Eleni and Maria were friendly and attentive to all our needs.

Wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed only for one night and our room was nice and simple with a pool view. The hotel has free parking. You can reach the beach and Matala caves by foot (approx. 10 min walking).

The hotel next to ours had an evening party with live music and it was loud. Bathroom would need an upgrade.

We loved our stay at Coral Matala. the welcome is perfect, the host is very nice and caring. He made our stay very enjoyable. The apartment is functional and clean. The pool is great. the beach is also beautiful. We will definitely go back!

Fine place if you want keep the low budget. Nice pool - we liked it more then some others on Crete, where it costed even more than double. Very nice owner ready to help with anything you could need.

The room was small and remind the good 80’s, especially bathroom, hard mattresses - otherwise fine. Breakfast is also “budget”, don’t expect the best local products, but the cheaper ones. But we were generally satisfied, just used to higher standard and time to time we try cheap places with good reviews (like this) - trying to find hidden gems. Not the case this time.

Everything, great location, excellent service, clean, pool is very nice and the host is the best. ? I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
