- We booked last minute and didn't have much choice. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a drain smell coming from the bathroom, so every night we were returning to the room it had this horrible smell. It was quite disappointing for the money we paid, but people take advantage of the high season. Very basic and outdated for the money they charge

The manager, a man was very rude to our daughter and when I told him so he got visibly angry and tried to get into fist fight with me for letting him know I thought he ‘was not a nice man’. His complaint- our daughter forgot her teddy at breakfast, and we parked our car at a parking bay next to his flower pots. My daughter and I being people of colour (my wife is Italian and white) we felt race had something to do with it, as the man preferred to speak only to my wife even though we all speak good Italian. anyway we did not accuse him of anything except to let him know he spoiled an otherwise great holiday for us.

Breakfast was ok, was not the freshest or best quality
Self service was not really self service, it was controlled. The bread was not fresh from a bakery nor was were the cold cuts

The breakfast in the garden, the staff is nice and the location is great, really short walking distance from the center of Marciana Marina. The room was cleaned every morning.
The toilet is really small, we can barely move inside and there is barely space for a shower, we have to be careful so that the water won't spread all over the room.

Good value for money (Elba island is pricy) the room is spacious, the cleaner comes everyday, and they provide free, and very good breakfast.
The shower pressure did not work for a time. We have to either lower the shower head, or put on hot for the water to come out.
