Pros +
- Hotel host Katarina was exceptionally helpful in every way. She helped with reservations and places to see. Hotel restaurant chef was excellent as well. Hospitality and dinner were highlights. Location is ideal for sunsets. Great parking nearby
- This hotel was a major disappointment! Elba in general is more expensive but this hotel was BY FAR the most expensive we booked during our round trip, and also the least pleasant. The guy at the reception however was extremely friendly so I cannot fault the staff.
- Great location, comfy room, really cute, we loved the lights over the bed. Great air con in our triple room ( it wasn't as strong in the double room my sister had). Good breakfast. Staff were lovely, so helpful. Caterina gave us great beach and restaurant recommendations (she even gave us tips for Pisa our next destination). The beach is a 5 min walk or a 15 min drive to a gorgeous sandy beach. There is a little pool and sun terrace with lounger close for exclusive use of the hotel guests, the kids loved this. I loved the view of the sea from the balcony in our room. This is a great hotel for exploring the delights of Elba.
Cons -
- Great value for ocean view in small, coastal town with less dining options than larger, more tourist oriented areas. Having car was important to see other parts of island
- The room we received was not at all as depicted online. Much smaller than expected for a family of three, dark and grungy, and due to a poor air conditioning unit it was sticky and warm too. The shower door was broken and hanging off the frame making it unusable. We spent half an hour repairing it ourselves, but this should have been noticed during the cleaning before our arrival. There was a thick clump of black hair on the drain of the shower. The village is small and pretty, but the next day we noticed that the hotel owns many buildings within, meaning that other than the one hotel there is very little else to do. The pool was like something from a 70s comedy, a tiny, cloudy green circle that looked unsafe to use, surrounded by rusted old sun loungers and the smell of sewage.I could have overlooked most of the issues, had the hotel not been so horrifically overpriced. It was over €100 more expensive than the entire apartment we rented the night before in Porto Azzurro, which was freshly renovated, large, cool and perfectly located.
- The parking was slightly tricky to access ( absolutely my poor driving skills and not the hotel's issue!!)

New Location, clean, spaceous
Nice location nice and quiet room very clean and pleasant bathroom. Also parking and terrass.Last but not least good restaurant
This is a wonderful small hotel in a great location, wonderfully quiet with a great pool area right next to the beach.
We had an extraordinary good time at il perseo, room was nice, staff very friendly, chiessi 10/10
Great team of people, extremely helpful and kind. Location is amazing, the view from my balcony unforgettable.
there’s always some room for improvements but I have no complaints at all.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Extremely overpriced, air conditioner worked very bad, regular breakfast. The restaurant price/quality was poor, there aren’t any other places to go for dinner within a walking distance.
It had a nice location and a pool right at the sea so you dont have to get all the stuff on the beach is perfect. Also the breakfast is OK but not much choice.
We had a view from the room into the wall so nothing to see from the room, the other window from the bathroom was on the terrace of neighbours. The airconditioning was hardly working and there was a smell from sink. A little bit to high price for the accommodation.
This hotel was a fresh surprise with boutique style rooms and great attention to detail. Wow! Classy minimalist design, freshness of the open sea with Scandinavian touch and style. We received such a warm welcome and superfriendly service and ended up staying for several nights instead of one. We really appreciated yoghurt on breakfast and Cristiano’s kindest travel tips. Chiessi is a beautiful hidden spot where one can truly stop and take a deep breath. Location is great to go explore Mount Capanne etc. And those breathtaking sunsets!Definitely a stay to remember!
Short water outage but was fixed quickly.
Staff was friendly, spoke English, and helpful. Location right near the beach, with a cute little pool with umbrellas to enjoy some much-needed shade!
