- What made this Greek hotel truly exceptional wasn't just the beautiful location or comfortable rooms – it was the incredible people who work there. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The front desk team greeted us with genuine warmth and provided thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our entire trip. Housekeeping maintained our room impeccably while always respecting our privacy. The restaurant staff remembered our preferences and made every meal feel special with their attentive yet unobtrusive service. What struck me most was how every employee, whether we encountered them in the lobby, by the pool, or in passing, took time to ensure we had everything we needed. Their professionalism was matched only by their authentic hospitality – you could tell they genuinely cared about making guests feel welcome. It's rare to find a place where the staff doesn't just do their jobs well, but creates an atmosphere that makes you feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The team at this hotel turned what could have been just another vacation into a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended – the people here are what make this place special.
- The beachfront bar was fantastic, the shisha and cocktails was excellent . The hotel has a great location—just a short walk from the sea to come over there for sunset.
- Great location right on the beach and fairly quiet in the main. Rooms are comfortable although some a bit small and the air con was not working in one room. Breakfast was fine.
Cons -
- Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel did not meet expectations. The food was quite repetitive and overly salty, with limited variety. Some items appeared to be semi-prepared products, and the quality of the juices, especially at breakfast, was disappointing. It was also surprising that guests were required to clear their own tables, which felt more like a pioneer camp setting. Additionally, charging for water at dinner seemed unreasonable, considering it’s a basic necessity. Additionally, we noticed staff taking food from the buffet and eating in front of guests, which felt unprofessional. Housekeeping could be improved—towels were changed only every three days, and toiletries like shower gel and soap were not replenished during our stay. Room cleaning was minimal, limited mostly to mopping and the toilet area.We also found the pool and beach facilities to be inconsistent. The water slides didn’t always operate according to the posted schedule, and we had to request they be turned on. Access to the beach required an additional €20 fee for hotel guests, and space between sunbeds was very limited. Based on our experience, we will be considering a different hotel for our next stay. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property at this time.
- The evening meal was not good, very similar each night and so I wouldn’t recommend half board as there are loads of nice and cheaper restaurants around the location.
- A particular gentleman who works at the water sports station on the beach could be quite hostile to guests consuming their own refreshments at the pool. There is a “strict policy forbidding the consumption of your own food and drink by the pool”. We previously stayed at Theo Star Beach next door, and there was no such policy, although it was a much cheaper hotel. Not allowing crates of beer or bottles of liquor at the pool is understandable, but admonishing guests for having their own bottled water is a little pedantic.

We had two deluxe rooms. The rooms were modern and well equipped, especially the bathroom. Air conditioning was included in the price, which is always appreciated. We had half-board, which wasn’t what we were necessarily after, but it was still cheaper than other hotels in Crete which only did B&B or self-catering. Breakfast was fine, although may not meet expectations for fussier guests. Same with the evening meals; no complaints although some might grumble about lack of choice or repetition.

Really clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely. Convenient location. Lovely grounds and on a sandy beach.
Nothing really. Pool beach music very loud. It was comfortable and well located. Shower towels were exchanged every 2 days and beach towels every 3 days. In the second week it changed to 3 and 4 days respectively.
The location is excellent: right in front of the beach and one step away from the avenue where shops and restaurants are.
Unfortunately, food is not very good - that is especially true for dinner. Sweet breakfast is quite decent. Moreover, many members of the staff are not particularly friendly. On the other hand, others are really kind and cordial.
Good location, clean, small room but for that price is soo goood. If you want to stay more than 3/4 nights I recommend bigger room, because our was so small, but we were here just for 2 nights. You have good dinner and breakfast, but for dinner machines for drinks and water don’t work, they put it off, so you have to buy, but it’s not expensive anyways.
You have to pay for sunbeds on the beach, that’s so bad. And for safe for your jewelry/passports/etc, you have to extra pay.
The beds were very comfortable, the room was modern and the beach and swimming pool were kept clean.
There were ants in the bathroom. Food was only ok.
Right on the beach road, few minutes away from shops, cafes and restaurants. Beachfront, modern, latley fully renovated rooms.
The hotel pool and the beach is open for everyone: for hotel guest and anyone else from outside, which is ok but everybody must pay for sunbeds at the beach and even though hotel guests must wear band on their wrists. For hotel should have been free. You cannot bring anything food or drink from outside to the pool or the beach. Our room price included breakfast and dinner, at dinner the drinks are not included in the price.
Nice room, beautiful new bathroom, great spacious corner balcony with good views, very nice restaurant terrace with pretty view, quite a bit of really good food at the meals, beautiful pool area
Music at the pool too loud, even around noon and siesta hours! At breakfast very slow coffee machines, one day one of the two machines was broken which created long lines, no alternatives offered (like instant coffee or regular coffee maker - no spontaneous solutions for problems...?).
Food, area, cleanliness, price for stay, location, how accessible and close verything is.
Everything was extra charge, beds at the beach was extra, drinks at dinner, no show on Sunday night although posters were up everywhere, but that's cuz season is over. Also we had 3 single beds in the room, would have been nice to have 1 double. Also we asked cleaners can they comeback in 10 minutes they said no,so we were stuck with same towels and dirty room for 3 day.s
Swimming pool was great and the access to the sea.
Personnel really rude, not even replying to “Good Morning”, you have to pay for everything extra. Food is really bad, and not fresh, a lot of flies and insects on it.
clean surronding, quite nice meal, the sea by the side
The location, the beach and the swimming pool area

the double bed room are amazing .(if you have one kid take it and ask for a small extra baby bed )great 2 swiming pools, cool beach access, good street for family. (not too far from party area)
the room with "double bed and bunk bed" are very much Less good than the "double bed bedroom".copy past exactly the renovation from "the double bedroom" to the "double bedroom and bunk bed" and then all rooms will be amazing .the free food could be so much better, maybe reduce the number of different dishes and increase the quality: that way the cost will be slightly similar and with good food you will certainly sell way more good Greek wine .
The pool, music from the bar and beach bar are the best thing about this resort. The atmosphere at the pool is really nice. The neighbourhood gets really quiet after 11 p.m. Staff is nice. I enjoyed drinking cappuccino with the sea view at the beach bar. A/c is strong, but quiet at the same time.
Until 11 p.m there is a party (or a kids party I think) going on in the nearby hotel, it can be heard even with balcony door closed. Food was kind of bland and I didn’t like the flavors. I ended up eating salad and olives for dinner every night for 3 days because I didn’t like how main dishes taste. Sound insulation is really bad, you can hear neighbours slamming doors. Towels are changed every 3 days. Two sunbeds and umbrella on the beach cost 10 euros per day. Drinks and food at the beach bar/restaurant are a bit pricey having in mind that this is Malia, not Chania.
Beautiful place and the location is very good, nice seaside. The staff is friendly.
Rooms are dirty, some days they skipped cleaning. At the beginning they promised us to change the towels in every three days, we stayed there a week and they never changed our towels, not once. (I see that the problem is that there are only two cleaners per whole hotel, so they Are very busy all the time and forget things.)The airdryer had only steamingly hot air, so couldn't use that. Shower pressure was very weak, and also very hot or very cold, it changed sometimes without touching. In room we had ants, and If we told it to the staff, we could not get another room, they just gave us a spray to kill ants by ourselves, they told that they will talk to cleaners to clean very carefuly the next day. Next day we went to the room the bed was made and they took the trash out, but leaving dead ants everywhere..so we slept in a room full of ant poison and they didn't even clean it as promised. They had a rule that you can not take your food and drinks to the beach/pool, so you have to buy them from the bar. It was a hot day so we needed something to drink. We went to the bar, bought one bottle of icetea (500ml) and two small icecreams- they charged us 12€. Thats a lot for three things. We had poolpansion, so breakfast and dinner in the price. In dinner there were no drinks included and they were expensive to buy. Food seemed like reused, very dry salad, unsalted fries, the food was not tasty and the choice of food were poor and there were no signs, so you have to guess what are you eating. We expected to get a Cretan classical kitchen, as promised, but only thing i found there from the Cretan kitchen was salad and feta. Other things were fries, pasta, meat etc. It all seemed very unclean aswell, we ended up getting somekind of bacteria so the stomach aced many days.
An excellent hotel! In 2 minutes you are on the seafront, the beach, many bars and restaurants. The double room is very spacious, extremely clean and tidy, the bed big and comfortable, the linen white and super clean, inclusiv towel for the pool and bathrobes. A large balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee. We really appreciated the quality espresso machine and the free bottles of water. We had breakfast and dinner included, the food was very good. The yard with many palm trees and everything very well cared for. Very nice pool. All details and pictures are in accordance with reality. Great location with immediate access to a very nice beach and a beach bar with great food. Beach bar staff very nice and attentive. In a nice 5-10 minute walk you can reach the terraces, bars, shops and the center of the Malia resort. We had a great time at this hotel!
I recommend replacing the towels because they were worn and didn't smell very good. We used the pool towels which looked much better. The whole complex looks so good so it would be nice to correct this, to make it perfect.
Staff was really nice. The room were really clean and equipped with a lot of appliances that makes your stay even more comfortable. They are there for you 24/7 and help you with every problem that you may face. Beach next to the resort is very beautiful and sandy with a lot of sun beds available. Food was good with a lot of traditional greek food to other cultures.
The location was great. Not too much variety of food but was nice too. Chef is helpful a great man. Nice pool and bar
Air conditioner barely works. Staff is rude and not caring or helpful. Cleaner went into our room and ignored the “do not disturb” sign and took some staff. Very stingy place. Asking for money for basic things like towels, water, hotel beach chairs etc.
