- NO KIDS! Absolutely tranquil, lovely property with multiple beautiful pools and a perfect private beach. Doesn't feel like mass tourism, it feels local and we loved the classic stone architecture. There is no bad location on the property; everything is close to a pool or restaurant or beach. From minute one the staff was friendly, welcoming, charming and made our stay amazing. WiFi worked surprisingly well everywhere, even the beach. The spa was an elevated experience with quality services and products, and a beautiful facility with pool, sauna and steam. We loved playing tennis and were grateful for the option (note €10 court fee.) Housekeeping was fast and thoughtful, and generous with bottled water. A lot of staff we encountered provided nice service in both English and German, which impressed us. Our room was newly renovated with marble fixtures, great water pressure and comfortable bed. Nespresso in the room and coffee on the private terrace made mornings magical. The all inclusive aspect is handled elegantly with room numbers not wristbands, and it's always clear what is included.
- the hotel is beautiful, built like a village with nice outdoors. the staff was perfect, so kind and helpful. the bars and pools were great, clean and comfortable. Our room with balcony and jacuzzi was very nice , large and with a nice view over the trees and mountains. excellent breakfast!
- My stay at Ikaros Beach Luxury Resort was truly amazing. The hospitality exceeded all expectations — from housekeeping to the general manager, every member of the staff went above and beyond. They represented not just the hotel chain, but the spirit and warmth of Greece itself.Their genuine care and attention made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. It’s rare to experience this level of consistency across every department, and it left a lasting impression on us. Thanks to their efforts, we are already looking forward to coming back again.Highly recommended for anyone seeking not only luxury but also heartfelt Greek hospitality.
Cons -
- We loved our newly renovated room but the modern glass bathroom architecture makes for a not very private toilet experience. They could offer more size inclusivity with spa robes. With so many Germans and Swiss guests, we were surprised they don't offer two duvets per bed (although we didn't ask, just an observation.) Honestly it's hard to find real criticism, it was such a lovely experience overall.
- the pools were not heated and in October, the water was vey cold.the bed was not so comfortable...
- All was good nothing to say on that

All was good nothing to say on that
We were on vacation as a group – the resort is beautiful and the location is perfect. The pools and the beach are just perfect. The food was amazing, and the restaurants really impressed us with their stunning locations and excellent cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly – a huge thank you to Eleni and Thanos! You couldn’t ask for better service at the pool bar during peak season – we looked forward to seeing them every day (not just for the drinks!).We were also warmly welcomed and served by Rejus at the other bars – truly great service.

Right after check in you get a ride around the hotel grounds to your room, where you witness the most spectacular views one can ask for. The calming pools, the colorful butterflies jumping from flower to flower, the incredible sea view, and the sound of the waves when lying on the super sized bed.The seafront room was specious, clean, with a big shower. The service at the bars was outstanding, with very good cocktails and ambience. The operations manager checked with us that we are satisfied and asked for improvements and we had NONE. Perfection.
Lovely property with beautiful pools and a beach area. Fantastic spa facility - I had the best massage of my life! Wendy at the spa is such a treasure - ask for the Cretan massage!
very nice hotel in general the room was wonderful very clean and quiet, lots of pools to spend the day, the staff was always there when needed and very attentive and positive0
the first night we did not have hot water in the room and we had to spent one night in a different room and then go back the next day, the mattress had for some reason two sperate memory foam (i think) cover that was split in the meddle that was not that comfortable.
Great hotel! Makes you feel in a small villa while having all the amenities of a big hotel. The room was big, clean, AC working perfectly. Everything you could ask for and more. We also took several massages in the SPA and couldn’t recommend it more.
All the pools were extremely cold - with the weather of ~15 •C it was not enjoyable. The overall service was great except for a bad experience with a woman attending the bar in the evening - we didn’t get her name, but she was extremely rude. The manager made amendments but still a hiccup in the otherwise good experience.
The food was good And the guest relations clerk was kind
The shower didn’t have any hot water, we had to call 3 times and wait 1.5 hours for someone to come fix it If you take half board you will have no drinks, not even water, for dinner The spa is very expensive and it feels like you are only a cash cow in the resort The twin beds pushed together were also very uncomfortable
A amazing hotel. Very clean, great staff and great food
The gym, pools are bars were lovely
I’m not a fan of an open plan bathrooms and wardrobes, it makes everything feel a bit messy and also sometimes it’s nice to have an area of privacy
Location and nature, beach too. Full buffet, helpful staff, very friendly. Loved all the various, diverse seating areas as well as the grand entrance and village atmosphere. It’s similar to walking in a village. No straight lines and beautiful Mediterranean gardens everywhere. Even the shops on the premises were SO helpful and friendly, as was the life guard. Privacy in many areas.
Music and acrobatic programs didn’t interest us.
This was our 4th visit to this excellent hotel. Everything is as always at the highest level. The breakfasts are excellent, the staff is impeccable, cleanliness, comfort, entertainment program every evening, here we got everything we need for an unforgettable vacation. The hotel's territory is stunningly decorated, like a medieval city surrounded by a garden of Eden. There is clean sand on the beach, comfortable sun beds, beach towels can be changed daily to clean ones. At the exit of the hotel there is a street with shops and taverns where you can eat delicious food and have fun shopping. But the hotel is quiet, as it is separated from the street by a park. I sincerely recommend this hotel, and I would like to come here again with pleasure.
We (2 people) stayed at the Ikaros for one week in September 2024 and had a great stay. The resort met or exceeded our expectations in almost every regard. We spent most of our time at the beach and around the pool areas, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. The staff was very friendly and also the SPA (where we booked a treatment) was excellent. There were things like an upgrade to a bigger room or a complimentary breakfast after giving feedback that really stood out and made us feel welcome.
The restaurants were great in terms of atmosphere, location and service, but the food was sometimes "only" good, not excellent, given the prices. It's complaining at a high niveau though. Just be aware that there are also excellent and inexpensive greek restaurants in walking distance around the ressort that are worth checking out.
This resort is amazing, with its beautiful cretan architecture, the palm trees, the bougainvilleas, the alleys. Very accomodating main restaurant, clean, friendly staff, incredible food. Rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable beds.
One minor thing: the beach/pool umbrellas are semi-transparent, so what you get is not real shade, but just a kind of ‘filtered’ sun. But this is probably a matter of personal preference
We expected much from our stay at Ikaros Beach, Luxury Resort but what we found exceeded those expectations. From the greeting to goodbye, the care that we were surrounded by the resort personnel made us feel comfortable despite the little shortcomings of any hotel or resort of this size. We were impressed by the gardens with flowers and palm trees, the architecture of the buildings with stone walls and timber, the general impression of a village with different perspective at each corner. As we got only breakfast included, we tried to dine in town, only to come back, as the choice from the five restaurants we had in the resort, and the quality was of no comparison. A very good appreciation for the Spa.
Not much to say, just a few suggestions: A Nespresso machine in the room would be a nice touch. At breakfast better to find a way to keep butter cold. Reservations on the computer for the restaurants in the evening does not work for those who are not in the all-inclusive list. We solved many other little problems with the help of the staff, so thank you again!
Resort layout, pools, entertainment, food, beach ⛱️
Soft beds! for me it was way too uncomfortable ? I asked to change and they tried to help but didn't work. I slept on the sofa bed instead.
Beautiful resort. Fantastic hotel beach just next to it. Affordable and good restaurants. Friendly staff. Beautiful pools. Can see the sunset, but not quite until the sun sets in the water. Safe place.
Very very poor coffee at breakfast. Restaurants don t serve after 9pm (but there are some nearby outside). There are not so many remarkable things to see within 50km... Not the hotel s fault of course
Very nice property, beautiful pools, silence in the resort in order to relax and to enjoy the accommodation. The beach was near the resort, you can changed the towel anytime.
The room was spacious, cleaned and nice. The only inconvenient was the door at the toilet, was a sliding glass door and you could hear everything when someone was inside.
The resort is very diverse, it has many options of restaurants, pools and fun places, the view is extraordinary and the pool is great. Everything is clean, neat and organized. In addition, the gym is at a high level.
The breakfast is very varied, lacks a variety of vegetables and salads, the coffee is really disappointing, there is only filter coffee and granulated coffee from an automatic machine, in a place of this level I would expect a quality grinding machine with a barista. We got a room with a malfunctioning air conditioner, it took quite a while to take care of the problem... Finally they moved us to another room, but the room had a split bed and thin mattresses (disappointing, especially that the beds move from each other)Renting a car from the hotel - note that the rental is not for 24 hours, but from the morning until 8:00 pm (they did not mention it), very disappointing and not compatible with the usual rental companies.
