Pros +
- Location was great , staff were attentive and great atmosphere
- The room was exceptional, we were provided with everything we needed. The breakfast was quite nice and they had a good variety of food. It's grand for a quick getaway from the city.
- Location , staff excellent and quality of food .
Cons -
- It was a bit cold in the room and to go to the swimming pool you have to outside the hotel premises. It's not far, just across the street, but it was cold.
- Massive room but only a small double bed which was very soft .
- Just not to have a window facing a wall

Everything -location, staff, cleanliness and comfort! The new decor is lovely.
Great location, wonderful staff, beautiful room decor but no view as facing a wall, tried to change or upgrade but apparently nothing available, shame but still a lovely experience over all, staff could not do enough.
Just not to have a window facing a wall
Hotel was lovely, breakfast was v good. Staff were lovely
The Water in the bathroom was not hot for a shower, and the safe wasn't working. The radiator in the room needed to be bleed as only the bottom headed up not the whole radiator.
Access to the swimming facilities, breakfast view, rooms
There were renovation works ongoing which were a bit noisy but not at all unlivable.
Location. Good swimming pool. Large rooms.
Long internal walks to the room.
Beautiful hotel, great restaurants ,great bar, good location, gym classes included for hotel guests.
A little hot at night in the rooms
I e stayed here a few times. I requested a special room for my sister’s birthday as she visits your hotel 3 times a year with different friends and it was her birthday. We had room 277 which was lovely and there was a lovely welcome card in our room.
We were not informed about the work being done. And no explanation when we checked in. Dust and grime in few areas, banging, the lift was stuck together, Xmas decorations in hallway, grumpy reception staff and staff generally not friendly. Breakfast dishes dirty….. not our usual gorgeous stay at The Grand.
The room was lovely i was delighted with the room.
We booked in for dinner and we were left waiting over an hour for our food. After asking about our food it finally came out and the chicken burger was tasteless, also my stake was rare when asked for medium rare(not the biggest issue,It just put a little damper on our stay there as we dont get out much just as a couple and we really looked forward to our stay there.
Very disappointed as I’m a...
The food in the bar was cold - we had to complain and send it back. Service was so poor in the restaurant also! Asked for water had to wait 15 mins and had to ask again! Breakfast was freezing cold this morning. In the room on 4th floor all we could hear all night was pipes rattling. Could not sleep at all.
Very convenient to Malahide. Great location, lovely views, comfortable seating in the lobby and lovely vibe about the place.
The location was very beautiful with plenty of places to walk. The room was very luxurious. The breakfast was varied and tasty.
The hotel was undergoing renovations but the disruption was kept to a minimum.
The receptionist was very informative
I booked and paid for an Executive room, I don't feel I got one. We had a 4foot 6inch bed, very small for an Executive room. The room too was quite small but we did have view of the sea.
the swimming pool the gym and the reception area
we were put in a superior room a lot of noise a very small bed our feet wasout over end of bed very narrow as well hotel empy as lots cancelled due to weather as we were staying two nights we looked for room change but got no chat in the room we were put in lots of noise as men working painting and doing odd jobs lots of dust about as well breakfast first was fine second day different story saturday morning we were down at ten fifteen put us in table in corner we ordered potched eggs after 20 minutes we spoke to the girl waited another twenty minutes asked again still no sign at eleven fifteen we spoke to same girl we had words and we left without our breakfast so we paid for a breakfast that we dident get
Location excellent and very clean
Our room was directly over a loading bay, 5am we were wakened from the noise of a lorry unloading. Unfortunately couldn’t get back to sleep and checked out early.
