Hotel Posada Campestre San Gil

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast fantastic, the facilities comfortable and well maintained, and in close proximity to San Gil.We traveled in a big group and enjoyed our stay, the staff made everything possible to accommodate us in whatever we needed. We would love to come back!

Beautiful place the loveliest staff and a nice distance out of town you get some peace. Beautiful rooms with great balcony’s and comfortable facilities. Pool and jacuzzi are great and they have a steam room!!

We got a room that faced the main road. It was loud all night long (traffic plus the bathroom had a knocking sound). Not ideal for a light sleeper. The grounds had many amenities and there is access to go the river where you could see the rafters float by. The service was great from the front desk, to maintenance, to the kitchen staff who graciously stored our leftover food and heated it up for us the next day. The location was great because it was outside of busy San gil but still in close proximity to restaurants.

Nice eco-hotel. There was lots of green around the hotel. Nice pool, delicious breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. The bedroom was large and comfortable.

The room was very basic, with old furniture, a 50 year old manual air conditioning. It definitely need a renovation.

The pool had a some bugs on it. But it is something hard to control close to a montain. Everything else was perfect.

Large clean rooms, beautiful location. The power point in our bathroom didn't work but was replaced straight away. Beautiful balcony.Good facilities.

Unfortunately a school group arrived on our second day and took over all the facilities, pool etc for 2 days of our 3 day trip. Not hotels fault.

Empty pool

At first glance it looks like a lovely calm hotel. Staff was friendly and helpfull. That was untill a bus full of highschool students showed up and started blasting music at 6 am. The taxi we booked at the reception never showed up cause they simply forgot about it. Resulting in missing our bus.

The facilities

1. They let a guest partied until 6am next to my room. Very loud music. When I complained what they said is that they have been CALLING the guest many times. What about knocking the door, call the manager, etc. it was clear that the party mattered more than my comfort. Went for work and didn’t sleep at all.2. Asked for the iron and it was dirty, result: my blouse is burnt. At least they paid back via the insurance. Few days after I asked for it, answer: oh, no, we have to repair it. I don’t believe it.3. They fool people by saying they have discount, FALSE !, that hotel is far from costing 67usd (260000 cop), what they do is to place a high discount so people think is a good one and they are getting a good deal, at they they ask for what it’d really cost.4. The rooms are poorly maintained, there were spiderwebs, shower was a mess, furnitures were old, blankets were old and poor quality. 5. What’s the point to choose a hotel with turco and jacuzzi if you can use it 20 mins and just after 6pm? I was there like an idiot at 5:45 pm waiting that is ready.6. Choose this one because my colleague was go go with her kid and the playground was not available. There must be so much better options in San Gil.

Everything was great. The photos don't do it justice. They have a pool table, ping pong table, jacuzzi, swimming pool, massages, and much more.

The closet door wouldn't open because of the fridge in the closet, but it wasn't a big deal. They gave us a better room than we paid for and we were very happy and comfortable.
