Traditional cuisine from Campania is served at the La Scuderia restaurant, set in the castle's converted stables. A classic Italian breakfast is available here each morning, with croissants, cakes and cappuccino coffee. Limatola Castle is 8.7 mi from the Caserta Nord exit of the A1 motorway. Naples' Capodichino Airport is a 50-minute drive away.

Pros +
- The hotel is located is a historic Normand castle on top of a hill. The location is very scenic and the hotel beautifully decorated. The staff were very welcoming and the food of great quality (including breakfast). Highly recommended for travellers in the Caserta/Benevento region.
- They offered great excursions with excellent value. The breakfast was amazing, and certainly worth the low cost. The fellow who ran the karaoke did a wonderful job. This really was the icing on the cake, as I am a singer, so it offered me a venue in which to practice my skills.
- Very picturesque castle overlooking amazing sight. Lovely host and very hospitable staff. Comfortabke bed. And unusual 0lace.
Cons -
- We loved it!
- A bit odd styled. A bit "rusty"
- Not a complaint per se but the breakfast was huge. Perhaps smaller portions with the option to ask for more if needed would be better.

Great castle living experience in a large authentic room. Highly recommended instead of staying in Napoli.

Breakfast option was little bit limited but everything was great. The best thing was coffee!Room condition was really great and really wonderful experience in old castle. And great staff as well!
Nothing. the dinner in the restaurant was really great but not much menu. The staff in the restaurant was really helpful and nice although he cannot speak English.
The attention to detail. Very welcoming and the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The breakfast had a great presentation and a nice variety. They truely make the experience magical.
This trip to the Castle seemed like a fairy tale... they host weddings and major events, but there was nothing booked when we were there, and we ended up being the only people at the castle for the first night. There was a second couple there on night two, but we essentially had the grounds to ourselves. Even so, there was staff on-hand who made us breakfast and dinner. The manager who checked us in was in communication with us and made sure we had all the information we needed. We honestly felt a little spoiled and guilty to have the staff wait on us when it was just us. But we went with the experience. I know we'll not have such a special experience again, unless we come back to this castle!
The castle itself is so historical and gorgeous. We'd wanted to learn as much as we can about it, but there wasn't a lot of information, beyond basic stories on the website and a couple of posters on the walls. It'd be amazing to have more printed stories/historical information throughout the castle! Even so, walking around the grounds and around the medieval town (and into Limatola too) was so cool!
It was the most beautiful place we ever stayed in. Such a wonderful experience.
The dinner wasn’t great, especially for the price. The dishes were small and also not so good overall
The castle was beautiful. We walked along the grounds and it was amazing. Loved the room and its size. It was a great experience.
Everything.
Wifi was not working, but sure it is just temporary.Breakfast was magnificent! I am highly recommend this castle!!!
A truly magical experience! The hotel’s location is fantastic, and the atmosphere of sleeping in a real castle made my stay unforgettable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the interior design made me feel like I had stepped into another era. A perfect place for anyone who enjoys peace, quiet, and historical charm. As some previous reviews mentioned, the road leading up to the castle includes two uphill stretches. However, even with a BMW X3 we had no problem reaching the top. For those who might be concerned about the sharp uphill turn, there is also a parking area a bit lower down. The hotel provides golf carts, and a staff member kindly came to pick us up from the parking lot and helped with our luggage. We travel frequently for work, and this hotel truly deserves high marks — it offered the best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel this year. Fresh juices, a wide variety of high-quality ingredients, both sweet and savoury options — just perfect.Big bonus points for the high-quality, natural cosmetics provided in the room, and the fully equipped bathroom. Guests are even provided with toothbrushes, which is a thoughtful touch.Highly recommended — a unique and relaxing stay in a one-of-a-kind setting!
Historic setting
Staff were unfriendly. Breakfast seemed like an unwanted chore for the staff. Some basic training in guest services may be helpful
Fantastic experience in every aspects! The bread and pastry at breakfast must be baked by an Excellent 'Master'. Bed equipments was luxurious and very comfy. All the staffs were professional and very kind. I will come back again and spend a week near future. God bless on Castello di Limatola!
I am sure nobody could ask for anything more!
The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The Rooms were spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Our dinners were the best we had during our travels.
Beautiful room and castle with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Breakfast was delicious and it included cakes and pastries along with a cappuccino.
The room had a strong fragrance throughout so beware if you're sensitive to fragrance/perfume.
We could see this place from quite a distance, And the closer we got , the better it became.. On arrival, their parking guy was on the case, and showed us where to park, helped to reception etc. To say we were WOWED, is almost an understatement, As someone who loves old buildings, History, And artistic things, It was almost a sensual overload. Everything, everywhere, the details, the one off peices of furniture, The sculptures. Our room was very spacious, With a very nice TV/ Lounge room, With views looking down on the peasants outside,,,, Well years ago anyway !Breakfast was very well presented, And just the right amount. We did eat there in the evening,,,,, To be Brutal, Judging the Mains, and Based on price,,,, it was ok no more. 7/10 We decided if we ate there again, We'd have the superb bread basket, And 3 courses of the Superb deserts, Yes they were really good
It was awesome staying in a real castle. The staff was great.
I was not very impressed with the restaurant. The food was OK And overpriced for what I got. For some reason, I was not able to get the bill until the next morning at check out.I did not like the lighting in the room. The lock on my room door did not work. I did not complain about it, but told them when checking out.
The castle views are stunning! The ancient walls and authentic period furniture and decor is really out of this world fabulous! Modern conveniences such as comfy beds, exceptional (although a little pricey) dining, and a multitude of seating in cool nooks and crannies, make your castle stay fabulous! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy. An all around phenomenal experience!
The only downside was trying to figure out how to work the skeleton key to enter our room. But, that’s on us! ?
A fantastic, peaceful place with staff that genuinely want you to enjoy your time there. The food is great, the service is great, the views from the roof of the sunset are stunning.
Nothing. It's fantastic.
Great atmosphere and wonderful castle.
Internet did not work because of a local issue. The castle is very nice, but there are no places to grab a drink or snacks unless you wait for the restaurant to open at 7:30. Even after the restaurant was opened, they did not even have any beer. Only wine and cocktails. This castle is used almost exclusively for events and would not recommend any stay as a traveler.
