    Pros +

    • The location and the view from the room on sea view Also the staff were amazing
    • Comfortable rooms, very accommodative staff at check in. Ample parking, quiet and refreshing location
    • Really nice pool & SPA, quiet in the morning.View from bedroom was very nice, especially for the sunset lovers. The bar is expensive.

    Cons -

    • The breakfast, there was not a lots of choices I there was more choices
    • Not very important. All TV channels were in French and two in Italian. I like to learn some French, but maybe they can add a couple English speaking channels.
    • The restaurant/bar was very limited it both service and options, and there were no other options that are of a average walking distance

Nice place, beautiful views, large and confortable rooms. Far from Lorient center, so better with a car.

    8NicolasPosted on: 9-22-2024

Breakfast was fabulous, the staff were fantastic. They went out of their way many times to accommodate us, they even arranged earlier breakfast (06:00 instead of 07:00) due to our early check-out. They also booked a taxi for us so we would be in the train station in time.

Not very important. All TV channels were in French and two in Italian. I like to learn some French, but maybe they can add a couple English speaking channels.

The front desk staff were fantastic. There is a beautiful walking trail around the water along with outdoor sitting options. Plenty of parking and rooms were clean and nice sized.

The restaurant/bar was very limited it both service and options, and there were no other options that are of a average walking distance

Situated by the lake, this pleasant and comfortable hotel suited my needs for my stay in the area. I did a lot of driving around Brittany area, and it was nice to park the car with ease here in a well-sized private car park. Without wishing to seem unkind, the city of Lorient itself isn’t that much to shout about - little of note remains from its pre-war days; I spent most of my time driving around the local countryside and discovered some lovely little villages (such as Plœur, inland and Le Courégant by the sea) all unspoilt by virtue of being just that little bit off the beaten track. I had dinner one night at Rooftop La Base, a half hour’s stroll from Rives du Ter, with very friendly staff and great views over the surrounding docks and beyond - excellent value, too. I also ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times, not bad value either with nice spelt risotto and particularly delightful white chocolate panacotta for afters… mmmmmh. I really enjoyed my few days here; staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the swimming pool and garden area for relaxation.

Quiet location on the lakeside, incredible setting given proximity to main roads and busy urban surroundings. A real haven.Very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Superb staff friendly and attentive.Excellent room and bathroom.Superb food, wonderful breakfast. Prices on the high side but you get what you pay for.

Nothing, but Car park needs resurfacing. Many spaces unusable due tree roots having pushed up the surface.

Comfort, comfort and comfort (after 4 weeks in a hut in the Gironde!). Seriously tho, very clean, pleasant room, friendly and helpful staff (English spoken too). Varied breakfast which took the ‘petit’ out of petit dejeuner. Quiet, lakeside location, with lots of car parking and somewhere to put a bicycle. Most French visitors were in stylish ‘smart casual’ - a pleasant change from scruff city.

Our problem rather than the hotel, but we didn’t eat there, other than the impressive breakfast. However, there was a large wedding on the Saturday night and a big lunch on the Sunday; therefore, I would think that those who live there rate the place well.

Clean white linen and a quiet room with blockout curtains makes for a good nights sleep.Dinner on Friday was the barbeque and so delicious! Surf and turf was served in the form of succulent beef and a variety of seafood dishes. Breakfast has a huge variety of bread, cheeses and full english breakfast. Ample parking setting is beautiful with a lakeview.

The coffe tray in the room contains only coffee and no milk

The staff was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and available.

The restaurant menu for dinner was too small for a stay of 5 nights. The location was a little way out of the centre.

    8MikePosted on: 5-17-2023

Great location, near to the beach but situated by a lovely lake. Hotel was easy to find and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The meal in the restaurant was of good standard

    7VirginiePosted on: 4-17-2023

Nice view and good swimming pool and gym.

The outside patio was a bit rusty and ran down. Found some cigarettes ash in a pot inside the room.

    8VictoriaPosted on: 9-11-2022

The staff were friendly and the resturant was fantastic, offering a small but very enjoyable food. The rooms were basic and clean.

Overpriced for what it is and where it is. Located by an estuary but not on a beach front, not close to shops or other resturants/cafes. The shower had low pressure.

    9CarlPosted on: 8-24-2022

The staff were very helpful, the rooms large, clean and with a balcony over looking the river. Restaurant food was especially nice.
