ibis Cherbourg La Glacerie

Room design is modern. Food is fresh.

No hot water on day one. A/C units are old and not fully functioning well.

Good choice available for breakfast with hot coffee and no waiting,

Simple. Cheap but cheerful. Large, very comfortable bed.

Sited in industrial park.

The location is in easy driving distance of the city, good parking

Disorganised and chaotic, poor food in the evening and at breakfast all food was uncovered encouraging contamination. The restaurant did not accommodate any vegetarian options apart from a humus starter

It's close to Cherbourg for the ferry

Glum hotel with small dark rooms. The restaurant was closed at the weekend.

It was a great hotel and a great room.

Staff were slow to respond to my disability at reception (unable to stand or walk any distance). They left me standing there for a long time to book in. My room was also a long way from the lift which was difficult for me to walk. These sugnificant negatives spoiled an otherwise very good stay.

location, staff, comfort

restaurant shut at weekend

Easy to leave Cherbourg during rush hours.

Poor sound proofing between the bathroom and the bedroom. Small room, inexpensive furniture.

Ease of location, car parking, restaurant, facilities, efficient staff

Very comfortable, quiet and clean room. Food good. Dog could stay in our room.

Staff in restaurant seemed stressed and understaffed leading to long delays for evening meal - guests from Ibis Budget hotel also ate here, so it was busy.

Location was easy to find and died was comfortable.

Room was a tad small, and the breakfast not worth the additional charge.

Room was very clean and tidy. Very comfortable. Close to shops and restaurants - or if you prefer, across the road from a McDonald’s. Car park so lots of spaces.

Good location for access to the ferry. The hotel was excellent, rooms were kept very clean and tidy during our stay and all the staff were excellent.

Very welcoming staff. Nice room. Excellent breakfast. Next to a McDonalds and a Grand Frais supermarket.

Opposite a massive Auchan but awkward to walk to as it is across a busy dual carriageway.

Breakfast had an excellent choice of food. Location is a little remote but if you have a car no worries

Repeat guests. Comfortable hotel for us as a couple and our little dog. Convenient for port, easy to find and secure parking. The staff are helpful and efficient. The breakfast is excellent and also the restaurant for dinner. There are grounds to adequately walk the dog off the main road.

The A/ C was not working on this occasion.

The room was very good very comfortable bed. Position of the hotel was great for overnight stay to catch a ferry in morning.

The dinner was very poor. It was not explained to us that the dinner included in the booking did not have to be taken and as a result we were served up the worst meal of our stay in France.

Access is easy, close to amenities and the port

Location, we had an overnight for the ferry ⛴️ and it’s across the road from a large shopping centre with fast food outlets ect

Nothing it is what it says on the tin ?

Big room, with desent bed and shower

There was no hot water in the morning. I tried several times between 9 and 11:30. In the end I had a cold shower and checked out.
