Pros +
- Proximity to the beach and nice staff
- This was our second year staying at Hotel Laguna Garden, and we are glad we returned. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well located. We were especially happy to see that the food has improved a lot since last year, with more variety and better quality.
- The proximity to the beach
Cons -
- This is a 2 stars hotel that needs major repairs: toilets broken, AC not working properly, carpet filthy and old. Nasty smell coming from the fans above the restaurant kitchen. Probably the over and over reuse of the oil. The pool is slimy as it is probably cleaned on the surface and added chemicals into the water, but never sees any stairs and/or bottom cleaning. Watch those elevators if you want to be bruise free(they are closing pretty fast and hit you hard). I paid the price for a 4 stars hotel with an all inclusive stay. The food looked and tasted poorly. Bunch of hard to tell what type of meat patties and meatballs that looked rather made from recycled meals than from freshly minced meat where served each and every day. Only once beef was served and that disappeared in 15 minutes. Some chicken and dry pork where served, and overall food was really bad and cheap food. My daughter refused to eat anything but rice and boiled patatoe - that bad the food was. No options for people that drink decaffeinated coffee, nor substitute sugar, no honey served at breakfast…. Yes, I was asked by the very friendly staff if everything is ok, and it would have been, for a 2 star hotel half the price I paid, but unfortunately, what was supposed to be a family reunion 5 days vacation, ended up in whining from our kids and us tired of standing in line 20 minutes for a plate of food, as they crowded two hotels in one for lunch time. No tables two sit, so often I had to wait and eat on the terrace along with people smoking.
- The water in the kids’ pool was very cold, which made it hard for the children to enjoy. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, and we will consider coming back again.

Just the location, nothing else . I will start now with the negatives.
The hotel appeared to have not undergone renovation for possibly up to 30 years, and the level of attentiveness from the staff did not meet the standard one would expect from a 4-star establishment. I would personally rate it at 2 stars. The quality of the food was subpar, and I found it difficult to justify the cost of 330 lev for a night's stay. The staff seemed ill-informed and the lack of variety at the snack bar, which only offered waffles in the afternoon, was a letdown beyond words. Unlike other all-inclusive resorts I have visited, the snack bar had limited offerings, lacking pizzas, salads, fries, and burgers. Regrettably, the overall experience left me feeling as though I had been taken advantage of. I have decided that I will not be returning to this hotel in the future. To make matters worse, both my son and I fell ill—likely due to a bug or food poisoning—resulting in two days spent confined to our beds. This unfortunate experience has solidified my decision to avoid this establishment in the future.
Laguna Garden is located in the heart of Albena, in close proximity to the beach. In the last 30 years Albena has transformed in a beautiful resort. It has forest just behind last building , has lots of trees and parks inside.Temperature is always within tolerable comfort zone. Resort is not overbuild as the rest of the black resorts and it provides best opportunities for a lovely holiday.
I believe Laguna Garden has to improve variety of food they offer in all inclusive package .I stayed for 7 days and there were approx 10 different dishes, for lunch and dinner.Compared to other resorts around the world it is quite behind. For example Los Cabos - there were more 300 dishes to choose from.
Very good breakfast. Very nice room, quite big and with a nice balcony. Extremely friendly staff. We where able to check in upon our arrival (11 am). They helped us with beach towels. We asked for a room with sea view and an extra bed for our kid and we received it.The beach is very clean and the landscape is amazing. A lot of trees all around and very quiet surroundings.
The pool was not very clean.
place ok if you want to quietly relax and do nothing, except staying on the beach, eat and sleepfood was ok, not spectacular but surprisingly well cooked, enough to eat dailygood beach area with free sunbeds and umbrellathe guy at the reception seemed kind at the check-in but proved not to give a s_ _t at the check-out: refused to bother to issue the invoice and send us to '' HQ'' for a request via email
premises are very old and not updated / renovated, new hotels are in the second linewet smell all over the hotelpool dirty and not functionalno pool barno beach barfar enough from the beachfront - not stated in the presentation clearlyI succeeded to obtain my legal fiscal invoice on behalf of the company as paid for, only after I threatened the lady from the HQ email address to bypass her and go directly to the general manager asking him to fire her, eventuallyit took her 5 minutes to reply and do the invoice properly
Poor breakfast
Old building and everything in it Bad beds n
Albena is one of the few remaining unspoiled traditional resorts: great beach, not overcrowded and free of noisy music... Lots of green space between hotels/no later chaotic construction in between... Great classic evening promenade...
Albena is a nice location with good potential. Hotel pool is great for family with kids.
In general the resort has good potential but is missing investments. The hotel was not restored for many years and looks horible. All inclusive doesn't worth the money because the food is very bad.
Room was excellent, shower room was clean, the reception area was all clean and nice.breakfast was very good and restaurant was clean. We asked for 2 rooms. The receptionist could not put us next to each other. The food was awful for dinner. There were 2 types of pork for main course but no chicken. We do not eat pork. The fish was with white sauce that was no good. Please see other hotels what they offer for 4 star hotels and learn a lesson. I have seen much better service in other hotels in Europe. Thanks
As above
The free private beach with two sun loungers and parasol, although without a bar like Laguna Beach Hotel nearby, is a plus. Free pool with sun loungers and a little snack bar with ice cream and pizza. The hotel is near the beach, five minutes walk. Parking is hassle free, with enough places in the hotel area (10 BGN/day will be paid at the end of your stay).
By the tourism standards the hotel is not a 4 star one. It's a 3 star the most. Food was ok, although in limited variety. Rooms are bit old, probably a refurbishment is overdue for some time. No other entertainment programmes, as one would expect at an all inclusive 4star accommodation.
The view is very nice. All rooms have a sea view. Afternoon and evening food was good. The chefs do a great job to provide meals, even when the hotel restaurant is crowded with travelers. Small garden is a nice plus. Plenty of roses. Beach is really close, with access to umbrellas and seats on the beach.
The "drinks" that are available for "all inclusive" are of very poor quality. Soft drinks are terrible. Mostly flavoured water. No access to real drinks like sodas and bottled drink. Beer and wine was good. Everything else was terrible. The rooms are not very clean. The cleaning lady doesn't speak english, so it is hard to ask for anything. Floor cleaning was not done when we arrived, and most of the time, the cleaning was done while we were in the room. No privacy!NO WIFI IN THE ROOM! At a 4 star hotel? Wifi available only at receptions and restaurant.
