Youth Center Vasatokka

It is not our first time in Vasatokka and each time is like coming home - amazing nature around, nice cottages, view on the lake and sauna - these ingredients make a short winter holiday like a fairy tale.

There was only one case now - our neighbors left the house and forgot the keys inside, it was quite late and the door locked and they could not open the house or contact the reception. I can imagine if such situations happens - what should people do? I think it would be nice to have some emergency phone to contact someone.

Nice remote and close to wilderness location. Very good price for a decent accomodation. Since the common areas and bathrooms were shared - your experience depends totally on the neighbours and follow travellers and less on the place itself. Great view of auroras over the frozen lake - loved it!

I was quite cold during heavy winter. Fortunatelly there were some extra electric heaters you could take to your room to warm it up, however the common spaces (the living room, the kitchen and the hallway) were quite freezing in the morning (ca. 15 deg C).

Beautiful setting with very lovely cabins.

The front door was hard to open, though once we got more explanation from the front desk staff it was workable.

Me and my kids liked this place so much! We definitely will come back once we are close to Inari. The centre is big and has many options for activities. It is located in a stunning location, directly next to the lake. There are chairs next to the lake where you can sit and observe Aurora mirroring in the lake. Unbelievable experience. The cottage was really big and quite well-equipped. The sauna is located in another building (not directly in the cottage), but no problem. The centre offers bikes, boats, sports equipment for football, minigolf, volleyball, ...for free. We used Kota as well and is perfectly equipped.

There is no oven in the cottage, but no problem.

- Water smells and tastes very badly- Very bad smell in front of bedroom window- Only very small part of the window can be opened- Access to washing machine tedious- Too expensive for 2 people

The location is amazing on the lake shore. It is in a beautiful area. There is walking,canoeing,cycling, and the town is nearby. The facilities are fabulous,sauna, table tennis , snooker, board game, outdoor play area, everything you could want for a wonderful holiday.

Our only little complaint is that bedding, towels, and final cleaning were an extra cost. We did know this, but we think they should be included in the price

The location is beautiful, peaceful and cosy! Very idyllic scenery and it felt very private to have a cabin to ourselves. The self-check in was easy and all instructions were clear.

It would have been nice to access the Sauna, but since there was no staff for the weekend and reception was closed we were not able to have one. It would have been good to have more cleaning cloths and tea towels for the kitchen, but otherwise everything was fine.

The chalet was lovely and big for the two of us. Had a lovely view and very quit. Also really close to Inari

Some of the roads were very slippery to walk on, icey icey

Nice cottage, very spacious next to the lake. lovely living room with a fully equiped kitchen and a fire place with enough wood and instructions in How to fire it up. The location is about 10 mins drive from Inari center. Also i have to say the staff was incredible kind helping us in Xmas day when We had troubles getting our car out of the snow.

Place.

Room was not the samé As descrined in confirmation email. Check in time was written 14 on the booking 15 in the email from the accomodation And in reality it was 16 +. Because I had a internet meeting it was quite disturbing...

We had a cosy, spacious, and well equipped cabin with a complete kitchen, tv, wifi, shower, and even a fireplace. Some firewood was also provided when we arrived. The landscape was terrific, loads of snow, all quiet and beautiful. There are hiking paths through the forest and a small forest pond with a sheltered barbecue place that is maintained by Vasatokka.

The whole place was excessively illuminated, resulting in an unnecessary light pollution. We were lucky to see nordic lights but had to walk a bit to see their full beauty.

The living room was very comfortable and the access was easy. we arrived late but it was no problem finding everything even with a closed reception. the staff was very helpful during our stay.

We had a perfect stay, trailing to Ahven lake, enjoying sauna, a lake view, a grill place. Minigolf, escape room, canoeing were extra activities. The new Siida center close by is a real pearl and a must-see place!

Moscitoes ))) they were a real nuisanse!

Wonderful place, in the middle of nowhere, with an amazing view on the lake. All appliances worked, wifi connection was consistent and the living room of my block was very comfortable. You can rent gear to explore the area

Beautiful house with view over the lake. Kitchen is well equipped. From Inari we walked the juutua trial, we recommend to do this.

I loved that it was out in nature and next to the lake. it was also great that they had games and ping pong. we used the kitchen for every meal

it is what I have expected :) location: close to nature - next to a (frozen) lake, forest around. the centre is around 11 km away from the centre. it may seem far to some. I used 1.5 hours to walk there and it was a pleasant walk (not much up or down hills).the property itself is very (very!) clean. there are all basic cooking and cleaning equipment. no toaster but microwave, kettle and coffee machine.staff are very helpful and friendly.good wifi (it might depend on the weather a bit).
