    Pros +

    • Service staff were amazing. The view was wonderful and everything I dreamed of. The restaurant was phenomenal and prices were great, so I had no desire to go elsewhere. This is one of the most high quality all around hotels I've ever stayed in. I loved it
    • The villas were near the reception and restaurant. Good location
    • The aurora cabin was great. We saw aurora from our room! The activities were also well organized. They helped us geared up beforehand to make sure we stayed warm. We were pleasantly surprised by the food in the restaurant.

    Cons -

    • Not even close
    • The restaurant was basic
    • The room is too small. We are a family travelling with tweens. The kids insisted to stay at the cabin instead of the suite as it is unique. I understand that we can book 2 cabins (as suggested by the hotel) but we always want to stay together when we travel. It would also be great if they provide aurora alert.

The room was structured perfectly for our family of 3 and contained everything we needed, even a sauna. The breakfast was out of this world good and dinner was like eating at a 5 star restaurant, we couldn't get enough. The location is perfect as it sits on top of the ski slopes overlooking the city.

There wasn't anything that stood out that we didn't like.

The room was really comfy, on two floors. The beds were great, in spite of typical Nordic separate mattresses. The views over the valley are beautiful. Other rooms are near and visible, but not obstructive. The reception and restaurant area is spacious and cozy and the breakfast delicious. We traveled with our dog and everyrhing was made easy for us.

Snow was melting so there was a bit of a pool on the path outside the room, but not the hotel's fault. Being at the top of the mountain gives you great views but also makes it very windy. The neighborhood is not the best for dog walking. Room would be even better if it had a sink and small kitchen.

Beautiful location on the top of a hill. Wonderful rooms

Needed a car due to distance from town.

    9EliasPosted on: 3-28-2025

very accommodating employees, very flexible with early check-in and late check out. The food at the restaurant is pricey but it was the best food we had in Finland. Service is also great. The location on the hill is amazing, however it can get very windy up there.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a million questions, but they answered each question with patience and always were supportive and warm. The location and room were too good and were value for money in my opinion.

I think there's nothing that I didn't like about this place. It was cozy and clean, the location was excellent, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Loved the rooms, the view, the food in the restaurant and the staff

Unfortunately quite a bit of light pollution affecting the rooms for aurora viewing but it was still possible to get an excellent view of the lights from the room.

    10IngePosted on: 3-6-2025

The location gives a beautiful view, magical sunrise, magical sunset, beautiful all white crystal snow, just soo soo beautiful.

Gorgeous! Breakfast included, great service including assistance with luggage, activities to book, airport transfer , views, comfort, great facilities . Awesome for couples , close to bus for ski resort, toboggan , love the loft bed

Look it’s not cheap but it’s luxurious and a nice base for visiting the area , super modern. A different vibe than other mass hotels in the ski town and very chic. This is a splurge! YOLO

    amazing service

stairs in standard room are steep and not suitable for an older person

    10DebraPosted on: 2-21-2025

Perfect in every aspects. We stayed in the igloo and very lucky to be able to catch the northern lights from the glass. All staff are friendly and the room is warm enough for winter. The ski centre is just down the slope, can sled down by toboggan. Overall we had an amazing stay!

    10SeyoungPosted on: 2-20-2025

Sauna in the property, balcony with fantastic view. Room is super warm.

    10SeyoungPosted on: 2-20-2025

Very clean, well designed and warm in winter

Could do with more selection of teas supplied in the room

    10Hsuan-linPosted on: 2-19-2025

Besides great hotel facility, the activities are actually the best! We were very happy with our husky run and snowmobile experience. They provide good outfits that keep us warm. The Finland longest toboggan run is 3 min walk away. Ski resort is just a few minutes drive away. You can also find supermarket or different restaurant there. But we find the hotel's Finland souvenir is better!

    - The iciness of the sliding door was like walking out into a fridge. That's kind of cool! - Staff was very nice I have to say. The reception lady helped us look for a heating cable in the rental car - she even went out in the cold without a coat! - The restaurant looks nice but we didn't get to try it as it's fully booked - so do make a booking if you intend to dine there! We put down our room no. for the waitlist as a backup and went into town. The very nice staff even tracked us down by phone (they would've to go through the hotel records to look up our phone number!). We had to leave early, and they kindly made us a take away breakfast (simple) and some hot coffee.

Well, we originally booked the hotel as its location seems perfect for aurora spotting.. But when we looked out the houses were lit so it was still kind of bright, wonder if you could still see aurora if there was any. Anyway we only stayed one night and was not lucky. But about the hotel - the room seems rather basic for its price. Room was simply furnished (ikea sort of furniture), stairs up to the bed was a bit too steep. The balcony door wouldn't close properly (was told there was probably some snow stuck in between, guess that's probably the case) Walls were very thin, we could hear our neighbours in the middle of the night. The location is well - guess depends on how you see it. It's right next to the slope, but away from town.

It was an amazing experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great to observe northern lights. Room was very clean and comfortable. It was a very good choise for us :)

The overall experience was good. Service, Facilities, Location and Catering are all good. A special place for special journey

We stayed in the igloo, the visability was highly subjected to the glass cleaningness and light polution as these would introduct reflection. Appreciated if there is some meansurement to control the light pollution from hotel access road, and the room light from adjacent rooms, if they forgot to switch off the light.

Everything was so clean! The property was situated at the top of the fell which allowed us to see the Northern lights most night, the communal area was very welcoming and friendly, we had hot chocolate most nights and played games. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive! Highly recommend.

    Everything was perfect
