AAR Hotel & Spa

The breakfast was acceptable.

The room was freezing cold. They then added an electric heater which unfortunately took down the electricity of the room, so when we arrived back in the evening, the room was without electricity and freezing cold. We could hear our neighbour's phone call until very late in the night as there is no sound insulation in the rooms. The indoor swimming pool was not available as there was a problem with the heating mechanism. So in the end it was quite a disappointment.

Everything was very nice clean room very nice view very kind staff very good breakfast too very satisfied .

Nothing like the photos, don’t get fooled by the high rating.

We’ve stayed in AAR hotel for three nights. Our experience of the hotel was totally frustrating . From the smell of sewage in the bathroom and bugs everywhere, to the horrible breakfast. The breakfast was served with the same food that wasn’t changed any of the days, the cheese, ham and hot dogs were spoiled and were given day after day even after we asked for new and fresh products. The eggs were cold, the cold-cuts in contrary were uncooled. The fruits were outdated and uneatable. When requesting to turn on the AC in the breakfast room we were answers with a no for no reason. The property is badly maintained and poorly managed. The outdoor pool was unclean and the “gym” is in a small not air-conditioned room, where only part of the equipment is usable.Over all , the experience was way below our expectations and the high rating of this hotel on Booking.com is totally weird and unjustifiable.

Stayed her a few times, fantastic location on outskirts of Ioaninna, perfect if you are road tripping, visiting IKEA etc and is an easy drive into the centre, the rooms are very clean and staff are helpful and polite- beds are very comfortable ?

For a 4* hotel, I feel that it lacks a lot in its restaurant, I understand that people use the hotel as a stop off and generally travel into the centre for food but the restaurant is more like a cafe and lacks character.Also for a 4* hotel hotel the breakfast is very basic- although there were eggs, bacon etc- it was all cold, the orange juice is a watered down mess , no choice for coffees, only filtered and only margarine available, no butter!!! I feel all of this really let's the hotel down.

Additional payment for SPA entrance - I didn't notice that it is written in booking - we were willing to pay but the Jacuzzi temperature was cold - they turned it on only half an hour earlier so we could not enjoy it - we just went out of SPA, of course we did not pay after all

Never never choose this hotel.So many bugs are in the room.I killed .ore than 50 bugs in one room.I asked the staff to change the room and she said she couldn't do that. I didn't sleep at all because of the bugs. After I left the hotel and I talk to the hotel manager what was happened and asked refund but he refused.It was the worst hotel I ever stayed in.

Excellent location, excellent facilities overall, very friendly staff, very competitive price. The bed was particularly exceptional. The facilities throughout including the outside of the Hotel are very pleasant and well kept.

As additional comfort I wish there were a proper chair in the room so that I could use the surface provided for work at my laptop. There is a small armchair for comfortable resting but not good for work on a laptop seated in front of a desk (too low for that desktop and no back support).The door to the bathroom needed fixing to be kept closed. Obviously not a problem that defined the Hotel (it didn't) which of course the Hotel said they would fix asap when I told them. I am sure they would give us another room if we asked, but we didn't ask because it was not a big problem.

Nothing really. Very comun hotel.

The reception staff was very bad and rude, with no solutions to any questions and not even nice to try to excuse or so.

The cleanliness, the availability of the staff, the breakfast. The position was great, perfect if you're traveling through Greece and want to stop

Room and structure was fantastic.

Restaurant was very nice, it could be increased the menu choice.

Food in the restaurant for dinner was good. The bedsheet was the best thing. So soft.

Not much admenities in the washroom. The makeup mirror is missing. The table on the balcony is breaking.

We liked the hotel; it was very clean; you could really notice the freshness. The room was spacious, the staff was very friendly, and while the swimming pool was small, it was still great. There’s also a large parking area. It was more than just a transit hotel for us.

Nothing stood out. Room was good size and bed was comfortable.

The spa and indoor pool are closed 2 days per week which wasn’t communicated well in the advertising material and the beautiful looking pool from the advertising material actually faces and is next to a busy main road to Athens which has trucks passing frequently. So although the pool is a decent size it isn’t somewhere you would choose to relax due to the traffic noise. Customer service needs improvement. I

Comfortable and clean. Rooms are quite big. Pool with nice view and good vibes.

Breakfast was average at best. Selection was not great

The vibe around the pool with poolbar is just awesome. The rooms were very good priced. Great value for money. We actually extended our stay for an extra day because we loved it so much.

Breakfast could have been a bit better. It is small and not many European options but then again, the hotel was very good priced including breakfast so we were dhappy with it.

Even though the hotel is situated directly next to a major road, at night it is quiet and depending on the sleeping type even quiet enough to sleep with open balcony door. While there was ample parking, due to the location there was only the hotels own restaurant and a baklava store on the other side of the street close by. They provide a nice pool with sunbeds.

The view from the balcony was not the best, but that is to be expected at this location. While the location might be a factor if you want to stay outside the city, it also means to getting into the city center might take some time, around 15 minutes by car. (But we knew this before.)
