It was a really comfortable hotel. Everyone was friendly, the room was clean and well-organized. The bed was comfortable and it was very close to the train station. The breakfast was also very good.

Lovely rooms, old world architecture and ambiance. Helpful and friendly staff.

No teabags in the rooms.

Excellent location and lovely room. Comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. Great food. GF bread rolls provided for breakfast.

We stayed for a week and the room was not hoovered once. Room service was a bit hit and miss. Coffee pods and sugar were not replenished and we had to ask for more and even then it was still not topped up in the days after our request.Menu only has one GF item on it, but after asking found that several more items are actually gluten free. It would be great if the menu was updated to show all gluten free meals.

We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom.Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free!There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea.We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!

Coffee making facilities in the room would be nice.

The bed wasn’t comfortable. It was also hard to get the room to a nice temperature (either too hot or too cold).

Breakfast with good assortment of different things. Nice bread, yoghurt and traditional german style breakfast. Good coffee made by a barista. The trainstation is very closeby to take the commute to Freiburg for free.

Not so much fresh fruit or different types of breakfast if you are staying longer time. There is a restaurant for eating in the evening but the quality is not so good and most dishes we tried are a bit tasteless and expensive compared to the offered quality.

Nice big room, very silent

Reception hours just till 22:00, we arrived at 21:45 and fortunately they were closing the door but still there. We arrived really on last moment (as they didn’t see our booking reservation), just keep in mind to call to the hotel in case of late arrival

We we’re staying with our dogs and kids and everyone felt comfortable. perfect blend of antique with modern commodities. service is on the top!thanks a lot for your hospitality!

The old building is really interesting and it's been well restored. The room is nice and big. We really enjoyed the restaurant and the food was tasty. It was easy to take the train into the city from the hotel.

We were in the sports room and I didn't like it. I saw photos of the other rooms and the decor looked nicer.

location, wellness room upstairs is really cool

not all staff was friendly and the friendly ones were not very attentive - sense of humor a little distasteful.
