    Pros +

    • Lovely setting next to the lake and friendly staff
    • locationbig room comfort
    • Location was great, in a very quiet area, near the forest. Check in was quick and easy. Shower had hot water and the bed was really comfortable. I did not have breakfast but ate at the restaurant nearby, and the food was excellent. A word of caution though: if you do not come by car, there are no transportation methods so you have to walk from the hotel for 20 minutes to get to town, or to the nearest bus station. This was not an issue for me because I walk a lot daily and as a bonus the weather was sunny

    Cons -

    • There is no where for guests to sit and relax indoors during the evening if the weather is bad Unfortunately there were some building works which we were not told about prior
    • breakfast 18€ ?? and you have to pay for the eggs and orange juice.
    • The standard double rooms under the garrettes feel cramped. It is necessary to book the more expensive superior garden rooms for a good room. The breakfast in the hotel was stylish but offered little for the price

The dinner was excellent and the restaurant full each time we have stopped here. The quiet gardens, river and lake in the sheltered valley are really attractive.

Apart from the dog in room issue, we liked almost everything .The restaurant was a little more expensive than anticipated when a bottle of wine was added. However, it had a good ambiance. The restaurant is separate from the hotel and you pay separately.

An extra 30 euros for a dog in our room PLUS another circa 40 euros to uprade our room. Dogs are not allowed in standard rooms. We only found this out after booking, so we left our dog in the car, and everything was fine!

Beautiful, quiet and unspoilt location. Hotel is superbly designed and fitted out with quality and style. Everything worked well, quiet room and large comfy bed. Restaurant was closed on the night we stayed but breakfast was sumptuous with fresh local produce.

    Nothing!

    Idyllically located.Surprising food.

We ordered the summer menu including 1/2 bottle of wine per person. We received 1 bottle (not my taste) for 3 people and this was charged separately. Slow service. 3,5 hours on uncomfortable chairs.

    Beautiful place near annold forgery

    no airconditioning in the room

The Hotel is in an idyllic location near a fish pond and surrounded by nature, despite being near the highway (which is unnoticeable). The rooms are clean and well appointed, lovely toiletry products are included, and the value for money for the room was excellent. A true highlight was having dinner next door at the Blue Maison!

    Nothing of note

Lovely setting. Gorgeous room and bathroom. Coffee maker. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Nothing. Altho we didn't eat there so cannot comment on and food/breakfast

I made a booking on the wrong (next) day but they gave me another good room and charged me the same price. It is very quiet there. I have not used the Restaurant but it looks fine. Parking for free. Had a nice walk in the morning close by. Seems that there are options for spending some holidays there but I only needed a place for the night.

The property is super nice and calm. The sound of the river next by makes it very relaxing. Staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean and nice. The restaurant is exceptional.

The breakfast was nice but a little high priced compared to value provided.

    Great location

Ridiculous amount of money extra to pay for a small dog. And no bins for dog poo bags.

Having left a mobile phone behind, the staff were very diligent. On returning to the hotel for the second visit they located the phone with the laundry and returned it to us. We though the phone must have been stollen but we were wrong and the laundry company and the hotel behaved impeccably. We are full of praise.

The place is amazing and really nice. The staff woman in charge of the breakfast is really helpful and professional. The garden is gorgious. The room is well decorated and very practical.

I got wrong information at the intrance desk. The last intrance time for the restaurant was wrong (luckily I went in advance; otherwise I would have come too late to be served). The breakfast time was not correct either. On the first day I came late to my appointment (I could get my breakfast earlier). There is no balcony in the room, only a window opening on the beautiful garden. If you want a balcony you need to choose a "terrace room". There is no common space at night (common space is locked), only your room.

excellent breakfast, big room with a very nice view to the garden.

I forgot the code of the main door, and that makes it difficult to enter the hotel

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting overlooking woods and a large duck-pond. Originally an old stone building, it has been tastefully converted and the bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and modern functional plumbing. At breakfast, there is a selection of different breads, with eggs, cheese and ham plus fresh fruit and preserves. All the food is of a high quality and served in a pleasant room which reflects the serenity of the surrounding countryside.

    The 'cappucino' was slightly disappointing

Comfortable rooms, beautiful nature around and amazing restaurant next door

    All good

Very charming area, very calm, nice typical building

    Nothing, all was perfect

We love this hotel and have stayed several times on our way between Scotland and Italy. The situation is perfect for humans and dogs. The neighbouring restaurant is excellent; the rooms comfortable and the walks add to the relaxation.

We did not dislike anything……. Just a shame the fire alarm went off mid stay.
