Pros +
- Great location, beautiful room, very comfortable amenities.
- Worst experience ever.
- Clean room and a good bed. Electric kettle in room and free coffee and tea downstairs all day. Good / fresh breakfast buffet.
Cons -
- The room number was not on the outside of the door. You had to go through an unmarked door to find the room. Very confusing, spent 5 minutes in the dark and cold looking for the room, the evening check in staff did not give any information regarding this at all. Huge oversight. Would be helpful to have the room number posted on the first door outside to avoid this confusion.
- Location: busy road full of trucks, industrial zone feel, noisy, bad air quality, depressing.Hotel: extremely rude staff member, unprofessional and unpleasant atmosphere, hard to cary luggage trough muddy gravel to reception and then trough courtyard to steep steps to room, next to the hotel is some kind of ‘unhealthy’ looking antenna (even if you are not being irradiated you are getting a bad feeling)Room:very badly sound proffered, stained vinyl (or similar) floor, kettle not in the room as described, just a shower head on the wall without a hand shower, bathroom door kept banging and you had to put something underneath. Could not sleep from the noise from other rooms or hallway and truck noise from the road, bad wi-fi connection.Payment: Booked trough booking and payed 90€ first day. Had a dog but they didn’t charge me for him, the lady was very polite and helped me with the dog and the luggage to my room. Had to stay day longer, booked another night for 90€. But when I went to pay for another night, arrogantly and rudely (using the position of power) another staff member charged me for the room 100€ (10€ more than I booked with booking.com) and 10€ for the dog (total 110€). Firstly saying that it’s higher price because I extended room directly in the hotel, but when I showed him proof of booking online said that the price of the room is higher because they decided to charge me for the dog for previous day (that was already payed) through the higher price of the room today.
- I arrived in the dark and had trouble finding the entrance, which is at the back of the building.

I arrived in the dark and had trouble finding the entrance, which is at the back of the building.
Food was good.Access and parking good.
Restaurant was fixed all you can eat style (and effectively compulsory)Staff mostly absent,Had a run down feel, a bit of tlc would go a long way.
Really nice place! Comfy bed, great breakfast, quiet location. Would stay again if in Venlo.
we only stayed one night because we were invited to a birthday nearby - rooms are like on the pictures (if you want modern rooms, this is not the place). the bathroom was fairly modern/new. everything was clean.for us the location was convenient for visiting venlo (if you are by car), i think for short stays to explore the surrounding area , this hotel is a good choice.
Big rooms and clean. We were all located near each other.
The food in the restaurant was a buffet and it was not replenished when it ran out. For example, the deserts had been eaten when we got there and they did not bring out anymore.
Location and staff
Aircon
We was very surprised with very helpful staff, and very clean and cozy rooms, we recommend this place for good time, away from big towns!
Everything was perfect, for our liking.
The breakfast, the very big room, the location and the cleaning
No blinds, the paper in the toilet was not a normal toilet paper, but something like napkins. A lot of spiders.
breakfast, nice staff
yelling people at night at terras
lack of furniture in the room, no proper window, dark room
It was quiet, and very green
The room wasn’t very clean (dead insects, dust on the windowsills, the walls were full of stains.
Didn’t catch hotel persons name, but they helped me a LOT when my flight was severely delayed and I had to arrive much l
Nature around, close to motorway, silence and village folklore. Delicious food and tasty beer
No hairdryer and shower head in the bathroom
The Room was really big and comfortable. Clean, Quiet, Friendly staff, who helped us out when we had to check in earlier than normal because we were not able to be there again after midnight, no problem at all! Lovely breakfast too.
For us only that there was no normal coffee in the room only cappuccino and tea, and at night there were only drink vending machines but nothing to eat. But that is really not very important at all.
The woman in charge of the buffet couldn't do enough for us and was also very friendly. We don't eat meat so she went to the kitchen and prepared something especially for us.
There is no soundproofing so you can hear everything that goes on outside the room. Therefore we slept badly. People were noisy coming into the hotel in the early hours of the morning. Early in the morning when others were showering it sounded like it was taking place in the room. We were making a 9 hour journey so a good night's sleep near the motorway was what we needed, but unfortunately that was impossible.
breakfast was ok but not more
the room , the dinner which was a "buffet" , this was not mentioned on the booking.com site otherwise I would have made restaurant reservations
Breakfast was really good. We only ate in one night and again the food was very good. Even the wine was on the house.
Only the weather at times!
Unexpectedly warm welcome! Stylish & simple renovated old farmhouse with all needed conveniences. Comfy beds, heat you can finetune for your taste, shared living rooms on the ground floor with all-day disposal of kettle &fridge. Everything was spotlessly clean.Breakfasts are extraordinarily good: eggs, cheese & ham variety, tasty fruits, pastry! was amazing, Staff was very kind and friendly, we arrived l with a pet. & enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. WE took dinners at the hotel - highly recommended homecooked dishes at affordable price.
Closed restaurant on Sunday.
