    Pros +

    • The location was excellent for staying outside the city, but close enough to walk several times. The room and property were beautiful. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious.
    • The morning breakfasts, delivered to our terrace, were lovely.Lovely room, great view, very private.Amazing shower.Host very helpful.
    • It is in a lovely location, with a great walk around sunrise or sunset to photograph the town, and only about fifteen minutes walk into the central area. Perhaps a bonus surprise: the garden is comfortable place to find a corner and read a book or write a letter.

    Cons -

    • Even in November, we had mosquitos in our room. I noticed standing water that would breed mosquitos nearby and notified the hostess, who explained that they have been a problem since the government adjusted environmental regulations.
    • We knew when we booked that there were no cooking facilities in the room. However, getting dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays is an issue, with very few restaurants open in Gordes (in early October).
    • Nothing to dislike. It was lovely and I hope to visit again.

Beautiful setting and garden Great breakfastShort walk to centre of GordesGreat shower

Rooms decorated with vintage and rustic furniture looked the part and cosy but could be a little more comfortable . Lighting a little dark.

    Location. View into Gordes.

    No A/C

Breakfast was generous, delicious, fresh, and overall fantastic! The perfect way to start our morning in Gordes. The pool was amazing, clean, and refreshing! The hotel grounds are well kept and very traditional of the region. And the hotel location - can’t be beat! The MAs De La Beaume has the best view of Gordes!

    Nothing. Everything was perfect!

The grounds looked very pretty and we had a lovely breakfast in front of the room. The bed was comfortable.

This was a small stuffy house called a suite. No A/C in the heat of a Provencal summer but a whole collection of fans everywhere. The living room did not have a window, so in order to have light, we had to open the door. The decoration was haphazard, essentially a collection of old fairly ugly furniture. There was lavender everywhere (pots, soaps etc.), and I found it nauseating as I do not particularly like the smell.

Mas de la Beaume was such a pleasant, lovely surprise. I wasn't 100% sure what it was going to be like from the listing, but this hotel is such a lovely paradise. The owners have put in so much care and detail into all aspects to really make it feel special. We enjoyed breakfast on our patio every morning overlooking the grounds and the Luberon valley beyond. It was beautiful and a time we looked forward to each morning! We enjoyed a takeout dinner one night from a local restaurant and enjoyed the pool deck while having dinner soaking in the sunset. It was beautiful! We walked into Gordes every day, and received such great insights & recommendations from the owner!

The location is great - a 5-10 min walk to the centre of Gordes.

The decor of the room is hideous: polyester dark flowery curtains, dried flower bouquets hanging from wooden beams, over-cluttered space with distasteful, cheap objects, very hard pillows, a sort of fire alarm detector right above the bed that kept emitting green flashing lights and orange lights.Very poor selection of tea etc. in the room - overall a very cheap and dark setting. Not at all what I expected for that price and given the beauty of the Luberon and French savoir-faire and style.Oh and I almost forgot. Check-in at 4pm only (with zero flexibility) and check-out (mandatory) at 11am - never seen that before anywhere. Really did feel ripped off - some people should not work in the 'hospitality' business.

I loved everything about this place- the host was lovely, the breakfasts were delicious, the room was charming and spacious and quaint and the grounds were gorgeous. Quick walk into town and gorgeous views!

The rooms are very charming and comfortable. The hotel grounds are really beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent!

It’s a bit of a walk to Gordes village. But it’s a lovely walk.

Lovely bed and breakfast in walking distance to Gordes. Beautiful garden/grounds and our room was large and very com

Peaceful and walking distance to town! Beautiful pool. Sandrine and her husband were very helpful and suggested us a fabulous place for dinner.

    Nothing to report.

    8DeborahPosted on: 10-9-2024

Superb location. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and secluded feeling even though it’s only a ten min walk into Gordes. Great breakfast provided by the lovely hosts.

The only thing that could have made our stay even better would have been to have a heated swimming pool. It was very very cold - even on a warm day in September, so we did not spend as much time as we had planned, relaxing by and in the pool and reading our books. I appreciate it is probably fine in the Summer heat of July and August, but it would have been lovely to have it warm enough to swim in for more than five minutes or so.

    9DeborahPosted on: 10-8-2024

Great location. Joel and Sandrine were very helpful and accommodating. They suggested places to visit and booked restaurants in Gordes for us.

We had a few problems with mosquitoes, even in early October. There are no screens on the windows, and it was too warm for us to close the windows at night.

    10EllerbrookPosted on: 9-28-2024

The gracious hosts welcome you to a hidden gem of a property. Quaint cottages are surrounded by beautifully manicured, mature gardens. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable of the region, offering many suggestions for daily outings or dinner reservations. A lovely breakfast is served daily with an abundance of delicious French offerings. A must if you are staying in Luberon.

The only consideration would be for those with accessibility concerns.

    10clairePosted on: 9-28-2024

delightful authentic provencal property set back from main road and convenient to Gordes on foot. lovely gardens, immaculate pool and far reaching views. the owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and we really enjoyed staying at what felt like their much loved home.

    nothing to dislike!

    9LesleyPosted on: 9-21-2024

Perfect location. Charming rooms and very good breakfast.

    Nothing!

    10ConniePosted on: 9-11-2024

The best stay yet on our European holiday! Gorgeous room, stunning garden and pool, and a quick walk into town. Breakfast is served in the garden which adds a beautiful touch. Hosts are generous with local information and a friendly chat. Don’t bother looking elsewhere for your stay in Gordes!

After arriving, we realised we should have booked one of the rooms with a private terrace.
