the owner and her staff were wonderful to us and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was great.

ENGEL Hotel It is definitely one of the most well structured hospitality facilities in the area !!! Privet renovated rooms, excellent privet bathroom, very clean, the staff is of hi level of courtesy and professionalism.Safety is everywhere, the staff is of high level of trust. The hotel restaurant is also very good, with good wine, excellent local food as well international cuisine.Breakfast is also very complete, offering a full range of very high quality food. Italian Coffee is also amazing!!There is FREE Parking for Hotel guests.

Lovely clean hotel with good facilties and staff. The evening meal and breakfast were both very good.

We booked a double room but was given a twin with the beds pushed together.

Hotel is in a great location with fantastic Mountain View’s.

Room was very basic and the hotel quite dated. Breakfast very basic. For example, no toaster. Nice enough hotel, but overpriced considering the standard.

The staff were very welcoming and efficient, the room, whilst basic, was very clean and was ideal for our overnight stay. The food was lovely.

The lady at the reception was really kind and packed breakfast for us because we had to leave half an hour before it started. Room with mountain view, very beautiful

good hotel with a nice view close to the highway to Italy. Perfect place to stop for a night along the way. Good price for swiss standards. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was in good condition.

Great hotel and evening meal was excellent

Breakfast was awful stale rolls and only cheese no ham, Salami, yogurt orange juice or water although a group of Americans were given it all we asked for more coffee and were told that’s waitress was not very helpful ruined our stay

Good standard of room, good breakfast, close to highway so great for a short break of a journey to Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location for some walking/hiking with nearby views over Lake Lucerne.

Our room was facing a local road and, with the window open, our sleep was disturbed in the night. The mattress was a little firm for me.

The location was very good.

The property was clean but very basic accommodation & expensive.
