    Pros +

    • Hôtel Capucines presents itself as a 4-star property, but in reality it feels closer to 2 stars. The hotel is outdated, poorly maintained, and in desperate need of renovation, with rooms and services that do not match the luxury prices charged.
    • Our room had just been renovated and we were the first to sleep in it. It was large, stylish, private and had a very nice patio. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool, deck and bar area were very nice and had a beautiful view. Les Capucines is an amazing value for St. Tropez and we would stay here again should we return.
    • Nice property, Good size rooms and bathrooms, quiet and peaceful

    Cons -

    • The most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever hadThis was by far the most negative hotel experience I’ve ever had — and I travel a lot around the world. The first night, I was placed in a room that felt more like a storage closet. It smelled of dampness and something old. The bathroom was disgusting, and the room itself was dark, depressing, and absolutely unworthy of the price. I paid over €1000 per night for that room — absolutely unacceptable. After I complained, they eventually moved me to a different room for the second night, which was better — everything was newer and more modern. However, even there, the curtain kept falling off, the front door barely opened, and the toilet and shower were designed for people with disabilities, which completely took away any sense of comfort or vacation vibe.To their credit, they did issue a partial refund of €361 for the first night after my complaints — but that hardly made up for the overall experience. And as the final straw — in the morning I asked for a bit of fresh lemon juice, and they brought me a bill for €8. Eight euros for lemon juice, in a hotel that charges over €1000 a night.I truly cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a huge disappointment and a total mismatch between the price and the experience.
    • Some staff tried to be helpful, but overall the service was inexperienced and unprofessional. The Family Suite was acceptable, but the second room was extremely hot as it had no AC. We had to crank out the one unit to the max to get the whole space cooled.Water and coffee were never replenished, and when asked, we were told to collect them ourselves. Hygiene was also questionable — including finding a spider on the bed.Breakfast was minimal and uninspired, we just skipped the breakfast as it was so unappealing.Fat better 4-star accommodation- Hôtel la bastide d'Antoine _ with excellent food and staff is available literally across the street for pretty much the same price.
    • They can close for a short time during the construction season rapair for construction. İtis very difficult to cary the luggage to up side becase many stairs and the stair waith is only 25 cm .wery interesting .Only the receptin personal are very kind.

The rooms are big and beautifully decorated, clean with ac. Staff were lovely, especially Nicholas, more than attentive. All was wonderful.

You do need to drive to any restaurants but the bar food in the hotel is homemade and tasty.

Clean, spacious room. Free parking in front of the hotel. The property is nice and well maintained in general. We stayed in January so we couldn't try the swimming pool. We thought that the hot bathtub would be operating, but unfortunately it wasn't so it was a bit of a disappointment.

There was no outdoor hot tube/jacuzz even though it is advertisedi. The hotel room didn't provide slippers and the floor was very cold. The bathroom is kind of separated from the room by curtains, which is weird.Don't get me wrong it was a good stay but a 4 star hotel for that price should do much better.

Charming surroundings, very good breakfast and very kind hotel stuff. We rested very well there.

Natural surroundings. Nice room. Value for money...at least at this point of time

    Location a bit off

We were two days in this hotel on November 10. In November we had access to a warm pool and hot jacuzzi here. It was incredible. Many restaurants are closed in Saint Tropez now. But in the hotel you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner (the prices are pleasant). The people who work here are very polite and pleasant. The territory of the hotel is well-kept and very green. The rooms are clean. WiFi works well. Photos of the hotel and rooms on the website are true. You can visit beautiful places nearby, because the hotel has a good location for walking and by car. Private parking near the hotel. Thanks to all the people who work in this hotel, because it's winter outside, but they make it summer for you!

Lovely - staff make all the difference. Fresh juice and late checkout nailed it!

Only issue was finding and using the pedestrian entrance to the property in the dark.

    9MichaelPosted on: 10-23-2024

    Clean, good location, friendly staff.

They need to get a new towels, bed mattress and pillows. Not comfy. And in bath at night ventilation can disturb.

Spacious in a villa area green location. Polite staff especially the receptionist gentleman.

There were reconstruction works going on making lots of noise from early morning. Could have given a notice about that and not offer rooms just to the drilling machines. Some more attention to cleaning hair on the floors of the room and bathroom left from previous guests could be good too.

The property is beautiful. Set in lovely grounds, with a lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi which is open until 10pm, great if you're back from town early. Rooms are very well equipped and spotlessly clean.Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Got a free upgrade in the room which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel for the area.

Drinks are expensive for the location of the hotel, some more expensive than the town centre itself.

The hotel was ideally situated for the port and town of St Tropez, with excellent facilities and rooms, and very friendly staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. It could have been my mistake, but putting the address and postcode into the satnav, I was taken to a village of Gassin, in the hills above St Tropez, rather than what I would describe as a suburb, at sea level

    9AmyPosted on: 9-21-2024

Really helpful and friendly staff. Great pool. Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Great air con. Fab beds. About 5 minute drive into town!

Possibly more of a 4 star but overall a lovely place and would come again.

    7GrahamPosted on: 9-14-2024

It was spacious, clean and tidy. The staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly.

There was no restaurant. You needed to drive or get a taxi to a choice of restaurants. The cups for the coffee machine were just card cups. I would have thought that they could provide proper cups for the machine. The neighbour has a dog that barks late at night and early morning

    10GerhardPosted on: 9-13-2024

Very nice location, close to Saint Tropez but still sillent and it feels like staying in the nature. We enjoyed our stay very much and the staff was marvelous and helpfull. We enjoyed the breakfast and the whirlpool a lot.

The Wifi did not work very good inside our room. When it was windy something seemed to be knocking a little bit against the wall, making noises.

    1NazanPosted on: 9-3-2024

This hotel is not 4 star at all.

It was outdated and dirty, breakfast was a joke, how can you call this a 4 start hotel, you are false advertising.
