Hôtel Villa Maya - Golfe de Saint-Tropez

The accommodations were really nice. You can see the ocean from the pool, and it is quiet/off the road. The AC is also very effective, so it was nice and cool.

It's a little expensive in the summer months, but I think that's to be expected for the area.

Long story short : if you can avoid this place, do. - The room was stated to be on the ground floor, when it actually is on the underground floor (on level below the entrance).- The bathroom was awfully smelly (smell of sewage) , but you couldn't really leave the window open, as it's looking onto the driveway, where guests come and leave, on foot or by car.- The staff was fairly unorganized and not very sympathetic. We wanted to see the room before booking it: as I walked in the room and compared it with the photos on booking.com, she accused me of taking photos and said that it's forbidden, without even asking me first what I was doing. - wifi connection is almost nonexistent it our room (Ponant). - The shower sliding window doesn't close completely, leaving a watery mess in the bathroom no matter what you try. Even though we had a discount with booking.com from 280€ down to 180€, I wouldn't have paid more than 100-110€ for this room.

The service is excellent at this hotel. The guy speak several languages and do really want you to fell comfortable. This hotel is dog friendly too!

Good position, parking available inside of the property and nice behaviour of the ownwer.

Room was originally a garage or similar, with no windows. Very bad smell (sewers), old forniture (wardrobe didn't open)

The cleaner was SO lovely, really made up for the rest of the staff we encountered

- receptionist extremely rude- no WiFi in rooms and receptionist didn’t seem to care nor find a solution. - rooms were very very old and need a serious revamp, nothing like the photos.- charged ridiculous prices for water- we were told we couldn’t eat yogurt in our rooms - when we asked for a spoon to eat some yogurt we bought at the grocery store they were extremely rude/sassy and said they don’t have any even though they serve breakfast - pillow was the worst, didn’t know they even made pillows this bad.Usually I can look past old furnishings, uncomfortable beds, feeling ripped off if they staff are nice. The fact that they were the rudest people I ever encountered means this hotel had zero redeeming features. Do not book this place!!

Just wow!!! We loved everything about this hotel! From the rooms that are furnished very nicely to the location! Very close to the beach and close to the city Center of st tropez. You have your privacy at this place and most rooms have their own entrance and own little terrace! The area is made with love and from the public terrace you will have a view over the ocean. Such a great Place and we hope to come back as soon as possible!

The location isn’t bad, BUT……

My flight was late and as a result I was charged €50 and was told that three minutes more, I would be charged another €50 by an old woman who was rude, rude, rude. Disgraceful service, demanding passports of people who we explained had not made their flight. €600 (plus the extra €50) per night to stay in a musty, smelly damp room with a small bar of soap. No shampoo, just soap. Dreadful place and a complete rip off. Find somewhere else!!!!!

Perfect breakfast and location. Had a smiling and good service.

We were on the floor level by the garage side. There were lots of bugs inside the room.

There was only 1 working bike..

Absolutely nothing.

The room was smelly. Terrible attitude from the staff. Refused refund on arrival when I realised the room would not be suitable. Gecko running around my room. No fresh towels. Electricity not working in one of the rooms.

I stayed in the chalet room and when i came back to the room at night i saw that the room was filled with a bunch of spiders. And there was no staff at that time of day to help with the problem. I ended spending the night in my car and had a terrible terrible experience.

Horrible never go again

Man at the reception was very very rude I checked out a day early because of it.

Ewan was a very accommodating host, checking us in at reception, showing us round the hotel/our room and even serving us dinner! The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom and a huge bed. It also had private parking which you could pay for at a daily rate.

The room was right next to the pool, which would probably be great in summer, although maybe noisy. The shower did leak to the bathroom floor after prolonged use. The location is a little bit away from the centre of town, so you'd need a car to reach it conveniently.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Hotel Villa Maya. The staff (Johan in particular) is very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is spotless, the bedroom very comfortable. The breakfast is really copious and delicious! We walked the 3.5kms to St Tropez centre but you can hire bicycles from the hotel. There is a very safe cycling lane all the way to St Tropez. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we will be back should we be in the area again.
