- My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised on every level. This hotel is FABULOUS!!! Getting there was too easy. Private parking on site. The hotel is an amazing location with lots of chairs along the lake so that you can sit wherever you’d like. You can literally step into the lake or swim in their gorgeous (and super clean) lake front pool. The staff was super courteous. We laughed when they would walk by singing and whistling. It might seem like a small thing, but people notice this stuff. Everyone was just super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The cleaning service was wonderful, too. Those maids really clean your room and make it up nicely. Also - I would be remiss if we didn’t mention the food here! The breakfast is absolutely incredible and the lunch/dinner options at the hotel are also fantastic. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and fries, thinking it would be the quality of some average restaurant. However, I was shocked at how delicious and consistent the quality of the food was. The sandwich was absolutely great and even the French fries were wonderful!! My husband and I loved trying some of the Michelin rated restaurants on Lake Garda, but were so grateful to come back to the Villa Capri because it had delicious food with generous portions that didn’t break our wallet. Moreover, the waiters always had a smile on their face and were pleasant to us. I also want to give a shout out to the grounds crew. The gardens and grass always looked perfect. Just an all around perfect stay. Thank you so much to the entire staff at the Hotel Villa Capri…keep up the great work!!
- The hotel’s got a stunning spot right by the lake, and let me tell you, the views are absolutely gorgeous—perfect for just soaking in some calm. The pool was a real treat, always nice and warm, so it was great for a relaxing dip. The grounds are super green and lush, with beautiful gardens and tons of plants that make everything feel so peaceful and pretty. Honestly, the scenery was a big plus and made the place feel like a proper getaway.
- Breakfast was lovely, staff were lovely. Common areas were nice but the rooms were completed old and outdated. Desperately need of an update
Cons -
- Shower was a little small for Americans…wish it had been wider, but still great!
- Sadly, the good stuff was totally overshadowed by a bunch of issues. We stayed in a ground-floor room with a door to the garden, but it was crawling with ants—literally everywhere. They got into our bags, suitcases, sheets, all over the bedroom floor, and even in the bathroom. It was gross and made the room feel unclean. The garden itself, while nice to look at, was covered in duck poop, so we had to wear flip-flops every time we stepped out. Breakfast was a letdown; the spread was tiny and the food wasn’t great. The whole place felt old—carpets were worn out, walls looked dirty, and the decor was stuck in the past. Noise was a problem too; the walls were so thin we could hear every word from the rooms next door, which made sleeping tough. The bed was another issue—two small beds pushed together, super hard and uncomfortable. We asked for a mattress topper to make it softer, but they didn’t bother to help. At €324 a night, it felt like a rip-off for what we got. When we tried talking to the front desk about a discount for all these problems, the woman there was rude and shut us down, saying no way to any refunds. It was really frustrating.

It was very outdated and run down rooms.
Wonderful hotel, landscape and views!! The pool was heated.
We have been nice to have more vegan or vegetarian options in the menu. You cannot order pasta for dinner. Breakfast could have been better. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy.
The view, the pool and staff
A bit old, the bathroom is a little too small.
Facilities were superb . Full breakfast choices . the pool was lovely and clean .
The only thing we didn't like was other guests putting towels in the sunbeds and then not occupying them until later in the day .
Beautiful hotel by the lake, near Gardone Riviera and Salò. Good parking. Spacious room with a good balcony, with lake view. Beautiful and pleasant garden. Very good breakfast (which you can have by the lake).
I believe it could have more leisure options, like a small gym or a heated pool. The room was very good, but the decoration (including the bathroom) could be improved.
We just spent 5 days at the hotel with our 3 children for my husband’s 50th. The staff were so helpful, we could not rec
The service, the staff, the location and the hotel in general.
No robes in the rooms, which usually come standard at the price we were paying per night. We were advised we could have a robe for an extra 5 euros ?
Very friendly staff. We also liked the lunch menu from 12.30 till 15.00, food was good. The view from the room was very beautiful. Rooms was very clean. They have heated pool, very good if you come here with kids.
In my personal opinion breakfast was not good. Maybe it's fine if you stay here for a weekend, But if you stay longer it is almost the same every day, and all day menu also was mediocre. I didn't like that they allow customers to smoke in balconies.
Amazing view and facilities. Great location and good options for breakfast.
Beautiful location on the water. Great views.
No option for evening dining
Breakfast was Ok, Location Excellent

Location: second to none, with amazing view of the lake and direct access to it, garden exceptionally well kept where one can sunbathe all day in a relaxed and undisturbed setting, plenty of comfortable sunbeds available. Pool keep super clean. Food and restaurant staff: exceptional food choice available and quality, both at breakfast and lunch (they don't serve dinner, although you can order some sandwiches, salads etc.. until 19.30), staff working there is very pleasant, fast and attentive. Cleanliness: the cleaning of the room was done in a perfect way. Room: bed was comfortable and large (king size in our room), plenty of wardrobe space, bathroom was also nice, aircon worked well keeping us cool during the very hot days in July. Parking: it was quite full due to the season but we found space, easily accessible. Staff: all very polite and ready to accomodate all requests.
Wifi and network signal in general: we really would like to give the maximum score to the hotel and we'll probably go back, but i have to be honest the wifi is the worst i've ever come across in all my travelling in hotels and b&b's. Always weak signal, no signal sometimes, even when using mobile data. Phone signal also weak. It wasn't our case, but i think it would be very difficult working remotely from there with a laptop or other devices. Maybe a first world problem, but when you pay more then 300 eur a day you also expect to have the ability to effortlessly check your emails or browsing nowadays. Several electricity blackouts during our 3-day stay, maybe a coincidence? (the weather was great so it was not weather-related). Hot water not available in the bathroom on one occasion, but probably related to the blackouts. I guess these are issues which the hotel is aware of and is working on. A few hangers for towels in the bathroom could have been useful. No coffee/tea facilities in the room, but this was made up for by the excellent bar service.
From room thro sliding French door straight out onto sun lounger’s and pool.
A sweaty 10-15 minute walk to nearest bars/restaurants along a busy road.
If you are staying near Lake Garda this is a great hotel to base yourself at. On site parking is a huge bonus for us. Located right on the waters edge, taking breakfast in the morning as the sun glints off the lake is a sublime experience we will never forget..and the breakfast is great. The pool is well maintained and there are plenty of sun chairs for you to while away the hours with a cocktail.
the location is absolutely incredible! the facilities are stunning! ask for ground floor accommodations!! absolute must see and do!! pool with lake views- words and pictures do not do this hotel justice!!!
Beautiful lakeside location, offering a swimming pool and access to the lake. Sumptuous breakfast, served outside if wished. Very friendly and helpful staff. Though there isn't a restaurant service in the evening, you can order substantial 'snacks' from the bar until 7.30.
The hotel could do with brushing up on its environmental credentials: towels and pillow cases were changed daily and bedding every other day - very luxurious, but not good for the planet!
Everything. The staff, the food, the facilities, the garden, the pool were all amazing. The views, especially from our balcony and the balcony by the lake, were mesmerising. Holiday of a lifetime!
The bed was too hard for my liking however, this is the only thing I could think of that wasn't perfect.
Breakfast was good. Garden was beautiful. View from Superior garden room was amazing.
Tired decor, worn carpets, dirty walls. Duck poo everywhere in the garden. Wear flip flops!Wi-Fi did not extend to our room. Despite many complaints they made no effort to rectify.
