    Pros +

    • Clean and breakfast polite staff.
    • Clean, convenient to lake and bus, excellent breakfast

    Cons -

    • Overall, this hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The building and furniture are extremely outdated — it feels like stepping back into the 1960s. The hotel and elevator, in particular, gave off eerie haunted “The Shining movies” vibes. Also, a hotel should never have a room with the number 13 wherw this had which is creepy. The front desk computer was down due to IT issues, and several guests (myself included) waited around 30 minutes just to get a receipt. I eventually gave up and left without one.Parking is very limited. I had to park at a nearby hotel and walk along a poorly lit, unsafe road. Additionally, there’s a dangerous blind spot at the hotel entrance that makes pulling in or out risky.
    • Small shower cubicle with toilet very close to shower so not enough room for tall guests to use comfortably
    • Entrance road in a terrible state full of pot holes. We asked for twin beds but they we pushed together and made up as a double

I was staying one night, hotel doing effort to make everything good

    - extra payment for things (parking 10€, towel in pool 5€, etc)- location - road to hotel is broken and a bit spooky at night- location #2 - no phone reception at hotel (windtre / eety)

Very clean room and friendly service. Very good breakfast.

This is a very nice hotel, probably built in the 80s, away from the tourist crowds but within walking distance to Garda. The staff are extremely nice and the breakfast is excellent.

The driveway leading up to the hotel is not illuminated at night and there are potholes where pedestrians could trip.

Clean, tasty breakfast, nice staff, perfectly hot shower water, free bikes, available pool despite the weather

Old hot light bulbs (only heat source during a cold night), + I would suggest installing mosquito nets on the windows

It was clean and the stuff was friendly (except the lady from the breakfast). The parking place is a plus even if you have to pay for it. And it is walking distance from Garda town. The pool is small, but it was nice and clean.

The should properly wash the tomatoes for breakfast and teach their stuff to be a little more polite when they are told about problems.

Lovely location, 10 min walk mostly on promenade to the centre, Lake and garden view, Beautiful breakfast with lots of variety and friendly helpful staff. free bikes were a bonus to cycle to nearby Bordalino. Spotlessly cleaan.

The hospitality at hotel Gabbiano is above and beyond. We met Christian the hotel manager who helped us in a very bad situation when our car got broken after checkout. He did not only bring us to a car repair shop and managed the translation with the Italian mechanic patiently. In the end he even drove us 1h with all our luggage in his private car to our new hotel without expecting anything in return!!! I cannot express how much friendliness, hospitality and help we experienced in particular from Christian and the whole hotel Gabbiano Team.Highly recommend! Also for the cleaniness, the breakfast and the great location just a few steps from the sea.We will definitively come back and recommend this place to our friends.

The best hotel of all our trip to Italy. Where can I start?- The staff was very friendly and a special thanks to Emanuelle from the Bistro/Bar. - The room was big and had all the amenities one will need.- The surrounding nature was incredible.- A short walk to Garda village. We will certainly return!

Friendly, quiet, comfortable, great location, lovely staff, fantastic breakfast. All rooms had a lovely balcony and 3 minutes from a beautiful beach. You can easily reach Garda walking. Love it!

We were disappointed with the room we were originally checked into. The room was small, and so was the bathroom, even though the fixtures were modern. I expressed my discomfort, and we were moved to a much nicer room. The staff was very professional and concerned about our well-being. The food was good

The check-out time was earlier than most hotels

Great value for money, the hotel location is close to both the beach and the town, plus the pool is perfect to relax or get a break from the heat. Breakfast was really good with ample choice of food.

    9RobinPosted on: 7-16-2024

From the friendly staff when we arrived to the plentiful breakfast each day it was a perfect stay. The hotel is set back off the main road so fairly quiet and a nice garden area to chill or have breakfast. Our room was ugraded (I think it was because we were staying for 9 nights) so we got one of the more modern rooms. Some guests have said the hotel is a bit dated - welcome to Italy!. As long as the hotel is super clean this never bothers us.

The pool area was a bit small and feels like it was squeezed into the hotel space when it was built so we didnt use it much - but apparently there is a massive lake of water just down the road!!!We didnt have a car but it can be annoying when there are car park charges on top but as you will see parking is a premium around Garda

The pool , the friendly staff , the fantastic choice of breakfast ,

Only it needs a little updating but it was a fantastic place to stay

    9APosted on: 7-13-2024

Nice room with balcony. The swimming pool was a great escape from the summer heat. It was possible to rent bikes for free for up to 2 hours.

A little difficult to get to the hotel by foot; a slightly unpleasant smell in the room on check-in (but it was perfectly clean, however).

    7NikkiPosted on: 7-8-2024

    Good location, clean and comfortable

Parking is very limited and an additional cost that should be included in the room. Very thin walls so other guests could be heard a lot of the time.

    7JonnyPosted on: 7-6-2024

Great staff. Good breakfast. Lovely views once outside the hotel. Nice garden area. A free to play pool table in the bar. Very quiet and peaceful. Slept well in a comfortable bed. Room had a fridge and a balcony. Good air con and ceiling fan.

Power sockets were an issue (one of them was pushed into the wall and unusable, the other was coming away from the wall and didn’t feel safe). Was a 10 minute walk to the water front and another 10 from there to the main town. There is a bus stop near the hotel but the main one with most connections is a 20 minute walk away, which is up hill to get to the hotel.
