Our stay here was nothing short of excellent. From the moment we arrived we were given welcome drinks and cookies! The staff were really helpful and friendly helping with all of our questions and giving recommendations on where to go and how to get there. The hotel itself was lovely. Very clean and modern with a lovely pool. I would 100% recommend.

The only slight downside was the walk to the hotel from the centre. It was only about 15 minutes but there really is nothing else to say!

Breakfast was absolutely amazing, bedroom, bathroom and view from balcony was awesome!

Lovely hotel, lovely people running it. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, although better the first day than the second. The jacuzzi outside is a nice touch. I get other reviewers' comments about the busy road next to the swimming pool, but it's not such a big deal. We would stay here again.

Breakfast was better than most 5 star hotels I have been before, fresh, well done and delicious. The room was very comfortable, room size, toilet are good enough. The coldest days in the year there were warm drink and hand made cookies for the guests every afternoon. Everyday from 16:00 to 17:00, guests can have free snacks at the main hall, that i think is really nice. The Spa is brand new and worthy the visit

No negative. Just the kitchen employees need to read the service order for the breakfast better as we were offered items we did not requested

A bit far from centers but that won’t affect the overall stay

You order your breakfast the day before you come down the next morning and it is brought to the table excellent breakfast and service the staff are exceptional

The walk back up from Garda in the heat uphill about 20mins there is a shuttle bus free but it stops at 7.15

The breakfast and stay was impeccable really good quality ingredients and the staff were super friendly. I will definately be coming back.

Breakfast was ok although it felt rushed… not the slow, relaxing experience as promoted. Personally we prefer a buffet style breakfast.

Staff were outstanding! Room was great, breakfast amazing, good pool area, parking worked well and all around, it’s a very nice hotel!

Just know that the hotel is a bit of a walk from Garda town.

SPA only with reservation. which is OK, but we coudn't get the reservation. It was fully booked every day so we did not use it.

Very friendly staff, clean and good sized room with balcony affording views over the lake and decent bathroom- upon arrival we were offered complimentary drink and room had complimentary wine wine fresh rose petals scattered across floor and bed ?Breakfast, as many others have said, is superb with a massive choice of fresh bread, fruit, cheese, cereals and cooked dishes (all choices need to be made the day before)Location is good with the town 1km away - a gentle 15 min stroll or take the free bus or free cycles, ad has underground parking with lift to your floor

I first visited this hotel back in 2017 and was so impressed I vowed to return as soon as I could. We stayed last week for 5 nights and once again it was very good but I didn’t feel the same vibe; maybe as it was peak season. The highlights are the staff, who are incredible attentive and friendly and the pool.On arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and snacks and there were rose petals laid on the bed. These little touches really add to you feeling welcomed.Breakfast is extensive but you do have to pick what you want from a large menu the day before. This can be a bit annoying as you don’t know what you’ll fancy in the mornings. Dinner was nice but heavily seafood orientated. Service was excellent as ever.You get a surprise snack around the pool everyday which is a lovely touch. Although, I couldn’t help but compare it to previously where there was a pool service and the staff regularly checked to see if you wanted a drink and would bring out complimentary olives, for example. This time it lacked a bit of that and I guess it was because of it being busier. That is not to detract from the hard working staff though; if you needed anything there was also someone around to ask.The pool is very nice, with whirlpool areas and we easily spent all day there. Unfortunately, it is next to a road and as it was peak season it was rather loud. I’m sure before they used to leave the waterfall feature running and that blocked out some of the noise. This time you had to press a button and it only comes on for around 15 seconds. There are plenty of beds and there was never a rush to secure one. However, this does mean the beds are a bit cramped and bunched together.I would suggest the hotel looks at changing the decking though; it is looking a bit tired and worn now and it gets ridiculously hot in the sun.The rooms are nice and the bathroom was lovely with a walk in shower.

Good hotel and staff, very attentive and always happy to help. Clean, modern and spacious. The private spa was great. Short walk to the town centre and a good base for exploring lake Garda by car, has ample parking too. The hotel is on a main street and you can sometimes hear the traffic by the pool, but we did not mind this as the rooms are soundproofed and we checked the location prior to booking.

Breakfast quality varied and was not the best. Very small portions too, and although you can order multiple dishes, we would rather have one proper meal. For example, a portion of pancakes consisted of one small pancake and a portion of crepes was one crepe cut in half. Pastries, fruits and other baked items were not fresh either. Would be better if you did not have to preorder breakfast the day before. Our tip would be to go down to the restaurant for breakfast, as there are more chances you would get hot food. Also keep in mind that the pool is not heated and can get cold on some days and the WiFi is quite slow. Service was not consistent either, for e.g. turn down service was unavailable on some days which we were not told about beforehand. However, the staff did go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Excellent breakfast with lot of good choices. Very kind and service minded employees? We had a very nice holiday and will highly recommend Hotel Tobago to others.

Not a criticism, and we understand your aim for very high cleanliness standards, but in order to be even more environmentally friendly, the bathroom and swimming towels do not need changing every day.We did see the note if we wanted towels changed to leave them on the floor, but they were changed every day when not requested.

Lovely, small, modern hotel with the friendliest of staff.

The hotel is situated approx 20min uphill walk from centre of town, which didn’t bother us but may prove more difficult for others.
