Hotel Rural Almazara

Lovely rustic Hotel. Room was clean and spacious with a lovely balcony with view. Nice pool area and we enjoyed swimming in the pool as it was very warm.

Breakfast could have been more ample.

Beautiful views from the terrace, lovely staff, quaint and cozy restaurant, 10-15min drive from Nerja and the beach, great facilities.

Better WIFI and maybe some floor mats by the bed and needs some hooks on the back of bathroom door no where to hang towels to dry

Hotel Rural Almazara, while showing its age, retains a charming and welcoming atmosphere. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, offering delicious meals in a cozy setting. Our room was basic but comfortable, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. A great choice for those seeking a relaxed and authentic experience.

Lovely views in a quaint rustic lodge. The spa experience is well worth it. Staff was outstanding.

Parking - there isn’t any.

The staff were pleasant.

We were enticed there by the indoor pool and jacuzzi, but it was closed for the season, with no explanation of when or if it would ever be open. The outside pool wasn't particularly warm, nice, or comfortable, and the view is of the road. Parking was first come first serve on a narrow road on a steep hill. The hotel itself is old and tired, and the triple room offered was a double room with four single beds in it. Cost wise, we could have got something better, for half the price, had we known the pool was closed. Its not walking distance from anywhere except the motorway.

Lovely hotel, nice views, really nice pool, very generous nice breakfast included, and good lunches/dinners available too. Nice syaff. Very clean. Good location between coast and pretty hilltop village.

Busy road 100m away. Just a small hotel carpark, so we had to use overflow carpark a short walk away.

Every think views amazing. Next to road but really didn’t mind as quite in evening. Staff, meals great very Andalusian building. Beds very comfortable, lovely views from room and eating area. Great location for frigiliana, torrox and nerja if you have a car but is a bus stop outside.

Slight slope to get to pool if you have mobility issues and pool could be cleaner.

Difficult to park, would be impossible in high season. They only allow ONE dog but it didn’t say that on Booking and we were only told after we’d paid, on arrival. The receptionist was brusque bordering on rude. The indoor pool and spa was closed but still advertised on Booking and this was the main reason to come to this hotel. Altogether disappointing

Breakfast poor. Staff unfriendly. Very disappointed. Not welcoming. Cheap pillows.

Rooms were clean and authentic looking. We received what we asked for (ie adjoining rooms) and the balcony was lovely. Location was good. Breakfast was included.

Parking was down a bit of a hill, but not that far.

The location is not very good, actually in the middle, between great Nerja and nice Frigiliana. Not a daily walking distance though. Parking is tough.

The receptionists were very unpleasant almost rude.

The pictures paint a different story than reality. The room was adequate, clean and had a terrace. The restaurant food was tasty and well prepared. Not dog friendly, dog tolerant at best.

We felt unwelcome much of our 5 days. The young woman at the desk was rude and unwelcoming. We arrived at lunch time expecting to have lunch but a large group had just left on a bus and she said there was nothing left to eat! A nice man in the dining room ignored her and got us sandwiches and some fruit. My dog travels with me and we stay in many Spanish and Portuguese hotels with her. Based on my experience this was the most restrictive, signs all over, no bowls or dog bed in the room (despite a 15€ charge) and her presence always seemed a nuisance making us feel unwelcome as well. The “spa” has a 25€ an hr charge and is apparently for couples… parking is on a first come basis. I think the hotel is an afterthought. The restaurant must be the revenue generator catering to big bus loads of tourists. Sad because it has so much potential!

Right in the middle of the old mountain town and beach town and conveniently located close to the highway exit. Great sea views from our balcony. Traditional decor that was charming. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was… outstanding. Ample parking. Quiet in the evenings.

Location requires you to drive to the mountain or beach. Older plumbing.

I have stayed here several times because of great location : just off motorway and between Nerja and Frigiliana. Also all bedrooms have beautiful view, as does dining room. Leisure centre, indoor/outdoor pool. Attractive rustic decor. Great value for money!!!

What's not to like!!

Big comfortable room with lovely terrace. Good breakfast with lots of choice? Very good and resonably priced restaurant in the evening.
