The place is newly reopened and renovated - comfortable bed, cozy room, breakfast was very nice, restaurant is quite good. Good value for money if you are visiting Geneva.

It would be good to put an additional soap dispenser next to the sink. The Wifi worked fine on my laptop but not on my phone but it could have been the phone

No real blankets, dirty, 400€ for small room without fridge, breakfast etc.

Excellent location right in the heart of Ferney Voltaire, ideal for the Saturday market, very convenient for getting into Geneve. Accross the road from the best cafe bistro in Fenrey.

The interior is a little bit old and tired, but for the price it was good.

This is a beautiful historical hotel in the town centre of the charming Ferney Voltaire. It has lots of charisma and character plus has everything you need for a great stay. Jacques the owner is a lovely friendly man who speaks perfect English and is always on hand if you need any help or questions answered. I'm glad I found this place on booking.com as it's ideal when visiting the greater Geneva area just over the border.

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel De France. Jaques was so accommodating of us and very helpful with any questions we had. The building is beautiful, and facilities were lovely also. Ferney-Voltaire is such a nice little town to stay in, and very well connected to Geneva via public transport. I would definitely recommend you stay with Jaques at Hotel De France next time you are there!

The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel was quiet.

The decor is outdated

Great location on the French side of the border and easy to get to from the airport by bus. Comfortable room and easy to walk around the town and visit the Chateau Voltaire

Not a problem for us but all rooms require flights of stairs, there is no lift if that is something you need.

The room and its cleanliness were excellent.

The hotel did not provide any snacks or quick bites. Having some readily available snacks would be a helpful addition for guests.

Great location—very close to the bus stop and Ferney Centre. The owner is super nice. I had a late check-out free of charge!

My stay at Hotel de France during one month was truly exceptional, the best experience I could hope for! Jacques is a very hospitable and responsive host, always ready to help and solve any possible issues that may arise, and provide all the extra services that make a longer stay at the hotel very comfortable (i.e. washing machine at the hotel). In short, the best choice in Ferney-Voltaire!

The location is great .the room was clean

The bed was too small and low.

The hotel is in an old charming building in the center of Ferney-Voltaire. It is a very convenient location where you can easily access public transportation.

The management was very pleasant, the breakfast was OK, but just coffee, juice, and a pastry. The hotel was undergoing a much needed renovation.

The mattress and beds were old and the shower had good pressure but the shower head was not fixed in a usable condition.

Building is old and of course, some facilities show(missing elevator). For me it was not an issue but for travelers with difficulty with stairs have to keep it in mind. Authentic, warm, great location.

Great location to stay near the airport. Easy bus ride. The bus leaves from the upper level on the train station side of the airport.
