Pros +
- Service was excellent and location is perfect. Best breakfast buffet i have ever seen.
- Location next to cable car, wonderful views, good restaurant.had the weather been bad, there was a lot of room for the guests to be indoors but not in their rooms
- Rooms were comfortable with nice sitting area off the main space. Lounge areas also nice quiet places to relax and read or play games.
Cons -
- Service at dinner was slow. Not enough waiters for a packed restaurant.
- Bar restaurant or “Cafeteria” served the worst meal we had in our 6 week tour of Spain. Only ate there because the main restaurant was apparently booked although it was never more than half full while we were there. Said something to the front desk staff but didn’t really help matters. Bartender Marcos is a bit too wound up and in a hurry, slamming things around and generally made for a fairly unpleasant environment.Tried to get a water boiler in the room to make coffee/tea in the morning before breakfast started at 8:00 but they only had a few and all were spoken for. Seems like a simple item to include in-room, especially for a hotel in the mountains. Did manage to get one the second morning which was appreciated. All in all it was a pretty good stay but I’d probably stay somewhere down the valley next time and make a day trip to Fuente De to ride the cable car and hike.
- It was raining the entire time we were there so we had no choice but to eat and drink in the whole time. The food was very good but be aware that as it's a bit more remote, that costs for food and drink are a good bit higher than Potes for example.

Beautiful parador in a fantastic location. Better than expected for 3 star. Reception staff were very helpful. Room was great.

The location was excellent right by the cable car ? Our room had the view of the mountains, which was fantastic. The hotel is a little old and could do with some updating. We did not eat in the restaurant but we did eat in the restaurant right across the road and the food there was good ?
No elevator to the second floor.
Location and good food
No elevator from first to second floor which was a problem for our bad knees. Didn t see that in Booking info prior to reservation
Fantastic views, spacious room - excellent dinner at the restaurant. Easy parking -close to cable car
The hotel location is phenomenal and worth the drive to this remote location. Great lunch/dinner.
Most of the hotel was very clean, but our bathroom shower had quite a lot of mold. They could do better. We had a good meal at the restaurant for dinner. We did not like that the only option for breakfast was the big buffet as we are "just coffee" people and the price is high for non-eaters. We did manage to get a small pot of coffee for 8 or 10 euros that we had in the empty bar area, but it was not satisfying and there were no servers there.Staff was the least friendly and helpful of all Parador hotels we have visited, but again, the location was worth the drive.
Great location, beautiful views, right by the cable car. Dinner and breakfast were good.
Location, next to gondola and amazing mountains outside window. Windowed porch. AC. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Really the only thing was the sound of the leaf blower for at least 45 minutes in the morning which truly spoiled the dream of waking to a peaceful morning among the Picos. Such an unnecessary and awful noise.
Perfect location when visiting Picos de Europa. Great food and drinks in the restaurant.
I had a great sfay at the Parador de Fuente De.
Location. Decor. Cleanliness
Lack of food options for vegetarians.Same menu at two consecutive dinners
Very spacious room and comfortable bed.Location is spectacular.Enjoyed lunch in the restaurant, quality food at reasonable price and professional, friendly staff.
Unbelievable location and our room faced the mountains what a killer view. We sat on our balcony and had a picnic while watching the cable car go up and down. Staff was great. Easy parking.
Nothing we would go back and hike more
Location, staff, food, room—all great
Right next to the mountains and cable car, comfortable rooms, great food, and nice staff.
WOW! What a location. And a beautiful hotel. The staff was helpful and kind. The food is wonderful. We will be back for a longer stay next time.
Not one thing. We loved everything.
Amazing room, very clean, really helpful staff and very professional. Loved the modernist mountain style of the paradore and it's perfect location for the mountains.
We loved everything, but it would be a nice addition if we could have a kettle in the room for a morning tea or coffee before facing the world.
It is in a beautiful location. The staff were very helpful.Good breakfast
For a parador the room and facilities were dated. The building needs a revamp.
Lovely room with a covered in balcony facing the cable car. Lovely friendly staff, we were even escorted to our room. Good breakfast although a little rushed as the hotel was busy and meals were timed! Loved the curtains.
Shower over the bath, especially as this had a very wide ledge to climb over. This is my complaint at all Paradores.
