Glykeria Hotel

We arrived early and went to the restaurant for lunchshated the burnt eggplant ana piece of orange pie, and as we finished we were met by Maria, one of the owners who took the time tell us about the place and sharing a book made about her in-laws who started the restaurant then made the hotel. She then gave us a handwritten note with info on the beaches and tips with her phone number if we needed anything. The room was comfotable with beautiful ocean views. We had dinner there that evening and it was excellent too. Wish we had booked more time there.

Maria and Nikos are lovely hosts, they did everything to make our stay perfect. The restaurant is nice and the rooms are clean and of a good size.

Clean pool area overlooking the ocean, excellent dinning area overlooking the ocean with exceptional views and sun sets! Food was out of this world!

Amazing stay at Glykeria Hotel! Maria, the manager, was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious Cretan food and a very professional staff. Highly recommended—we will definitely come back!

We loved the ambiance « family » where we were welcomed like if we were coming home. Maria was exceptional as well as the other staff and the restaurant. We very much appreciated the suggested visits and attention to our comfort.

Excellent staff ... Host Maria and team were all friendly, courteous, helpful - were always at your service with a smile and were very good with recommendations on where to go, what to see/do. Rooms are very nice, clean and plenty cool with a great A/C system. The Restaurant on the property is also first rate - great food and very reasonably priced ... Daily specials on the menu were great

We arrived to the Glykeria hotel in the last week of May. We were travelling with 3 elderly people.The hospitality of Maria and Nicos was outstanding! Nicos even washed our car after the sand storm. Maria gave us all the informations where to go and what to see around. All the places were amazing. The rooms were extremely clean with beautiful views.In the front of the hotel there is an excellent restaurant, family business with the hotel’s owners.Food was delicious and hospitality was the same as in the hotel, the best!Among other fantastic food this restaurant is making anchovies in their own marinade. You definitely have to try them!I would definitely recommend this hotel with the restaurant to anyone.Very calm area, far from the crowds but close to the famous beach Elafonisi, surrounded with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains.

The view was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel is a close drive to Elafonisi and other beaches. We loved the on-site restaurant- some of our best meals so far, and Maria was wonderful! She made check in super easy and provided excellent local recommendations

This place has a heart and thats why I put it absolute 10. Its a family business and the hosts are amazing! When I received hand written list of places worth seeing close by, my heart just melted. Hand written and not printed is a rare thing nowadaysOther than that everything else was great - facilities, service. the food, the view. Amazing

The position is perfect, very close to Elafonisi and to the best beaches of Crete. The atmosphere is very friendly, you will feel like in the family. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant of the house just in front of the room. We suggest a balcony room sea view! Wonderful!

Maria, who welcomed us at the property, was very nice and helpful. She has given us tips on what places nearby to visit. That list was super helpful. We also enjoyed the coffee and the juice at the restaurant. Glykeria hotel also has one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. On one side there are mountains, on the other - the sea. The pool is a perfect addition to the whole experience. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

The room is clean. All the rooms have perfect sea view. It has pool with tools to play with. Maria and Nikos were great help. Maria provided us with a list of places to visit together with their mobile number in case we need help.Breakfast was also delicious. Shortly, nice place, nice location (walking distance to Voulolimni) and perfect hosts.

The property was very nice! The pool was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable and nice. Air conditioning worked great, nice bathrooms. Nice view of the sea. The restaurant was also great! We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there multiple times on our stay.

Not necessarily something I didn’t like. But good to be aware that you kind of need a car to go to a lot of the beaches near by. There are a few places walking distance, but the big main beaches in the area are a few minutes drive.

Price a little bit high.walk-in shower not greatly designed, and floor was inevitably watered.

The property was beautiful, very clean and well managed. Maria was awesome, she suggested and made handwritten notes to many different sights to visit and all the best local beaches. The restaurant on site was fabulous!

It felt like home.From the moment we walked in,Maria treated us like family.We had complimentary drinks upon arrival as our room wasn’t ready-but we were actually early!She explained the history of the hoteland restaurant and we felt connected immediately.She gave us a detailed hand written list of where we should go in the area.She lent us an umbrella and beach towels.The room was magnificent.The pool area was so lovely.The food at the restaurant was fantastic.The wines had been researched by the brothers and they were wonderful too.Everything was perfect!

The host Maria said her husband were great and very welcoming. The view from the room was excellent and the place was easy to find.
