Dirty pool when out of season not worth staying

Really enjoyed our stay here! The room was clean and very spacious, and the private pool area was fantastic with a great view. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The staff were all so friendly. A special thanks Ester at reception and Gentiliano at the restaurant, who were both amazing. The area is great and only about a 5 minute walk to the promenade. Would definitely stay again!

Great location on the waterfront with a pool and its own little section of the beach. Rooms all have nice balconies overlooking the sea. Breakfast buffet was good and staff were friendly. Only a short 5 min walk to the promenade. Parking onsite as well.

I was a little apprehensive before due to some reviews suggesting a sea view room was swapped for ground floor or side sea views but the view from the room was great and would suggest a sea view room!The balcony lights didn't seem to work.The bar next door to the hotel plays loud music but it didn't bother us much.

Fantastic location not to near the noisy part of Sarande but not too far from the bars and restaurants. Hotel itself is superb - right on the sea-front and our rooms were spectacular -straight out onto the terrace where the pool was located and no more than about 20 steps to the beautiful clear sea.Restaurant and lunches/dinner was exceptional.

Hot water for the showers etc went off for a couple of hours on two of the mornings (but was quickly fixed by about lunchtime), so no real big deal.

The staff were exceptional eager to assist, the breakfast was lovely and the location was perfect this hotel is fantastic

The location was great - it’s situated at the edge of the promenade, so close to restaurants and cafes etc. it not in the thick of it. The interior of the communal areas were really nicely designed

Lovely hotel - beautiful terrace for breakfast and evening meals if you want to dine there too. I didn't see any photos of this prior but it was beautifully landscaped and built all around a large tree! The pool is small but right on the beach, and only 2 pebbly steps to the sea. WEAR water shoes as there are sea urchins! the breakfast was the most lovely of all we had on our travels all over Albania. This hotel was really lovely. Sarande was busier than we expected and more commercialised, however this hotel is in a good spot, just a short walk from the port with lots of good restaurants around so I would definitely stay here again. There is a family-run feel around the restaurant.

We had a car and parking was a bit of a mare as never any spaces OR they were super tight to get into - it's a busy road! Next door apartments seem to have empty parking lot so I would have preferred to park there for a small fee and less hassle every time we arrived/departed from hotel! Otherwise loved the hotel.

on arrival we were disappointed from the start... the parking was not a car park, we had to leave our car keys with reception and they parked the car on the street outside the hotel(our car keys were just left on the reception desk.... on 2 occasions we were given the wrong car keys as they had 2 fords staying at the hotel.the room we had booked was not given. we had booked a sea view room with balcony. we were taken to ground floor room on the pool/sun lounger terrace which was very noisy and the room smelt of tabacco. only after several conversation with the reception staff and the Manager being called did they eventually get us the correct room... which we had been told was not available until this point. the room we were eventually given was next to the restaurant and the vent in our bathroom ceiling vented into the restaurant, this acted like a speaker on evening when live music was being played.we only stayed for 2 nights of our 5 night stay.the room issue was all blamed on Booking.com but felt it was the hotel trying it on...would not recommend.

parking was not available on site as stated on listing and room we booked was not initially offered. only got coorect room after threatening to leave and asking for a full refund. miraculously our room was available at this point.Lesson learnt as far as believing Instagram profiles...

The breakfast was good. There were a good number of loungers. The room was large and clean.

There is a bar next door which - despite being empty - plays extremely loud music until midnight every day, audible from the room with the balcony door shut.Booked aground floor room but not given one. Couldn’t be bothered to argue about this.

The location and the cleaning staff.

This is not a 4-star hotel. When we arrived the room smelled like cold tobacco and the receptionist said he could not smell anything. There were no towels in the room (and the hotel altogether that night) so we had to use our own. The room was super humid and so were the bed sheets. One day we had no hot water so we couldn’t shower. The breakfast coffee is instant coffee so I ordered a mocha at the bar and they charged me 5€ for it. The staff was dismissive and unhelpful (we pointed out all these things to the receptionist, she said she would take care of it personally but we never heard back from her). We are super disappointed.

The restaurant is delicious, and its location of being right on the water was lovely - we did come back here to eat as it was right on the beach where as our new hotel was not.

The day before check in, I had contacted Hotel Jaroel to see if they would be able to assist in us hiring a boat for the day. They replied back efficiently and stated they could not, but we would easily be able to do this when we arrive. We travelled four hours by car to arrive at Sarande the next day. When we arrived, we were told they have had some plumbing issues and the rooms had not been in use for a few days and we could no longer stay. We stood in the foyer for about twenty minutes whilst the receptionist was helping other customers, thinking that he too was helping us at the same time. Eventually when everyone had left, we were advised another sister hotel down the road had availability. He quickly helped us carry our bags there, then left us when we got to the bottom of the stairs. We carried our bags up, then after waiting for about ten minutes for someone from reception to show up, they advised they didn’t know that we had been sent from Hotel Jaroel and they didn’t have any rooms available. We then stayed there for another twenty minutes whilst they tried to persuade us to only stay for one night but we needed four nights. Eventually, they were able to assist us and we stayed the whole time, but it was a very frustrating experience.

Poor

The room cleaning was poor. The bed rugs were never changed, and there were not enough beach towels. It was a first-come, first-served situation, so if you didn't get there early, you were left without.

The breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the location.

Some simple things would improved our stay. There was limited draw space in the apartment and no shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. There was plenty of wardrobe space but no coat hangers. When we did ask for some, they only supplied 4 and we had clothes for a week. A few more hooks etc. None of this put us off and are just suggestions that we think would improve things for other guests.

The location was excellent with many restaurants and markets close by. There is beach access, a reasonable sized pool and the views from the sea view room was amazing.

We found the staff, with the exception on the young lady on reception, to be unhelpful, dismissive with some quite bizarre behaviour. Some examples. We had booked a sea view room months previously. At check in the young lady took our details and gave us a card with our room number on it. Another lady arrived and after a conversation in Albanian and a check of the computer explained that we had been given the wrong room. She took the card from me crossed out the room number and wrote in the new number. The room was at the back of the hotel with a view of the carpark. We returned to reception and showed a copy of our booking confirmation and after many excuses and an offer of 10% off the hotel restaurant, which we declined, we ended up with the room we had been given originally. A sea view room. In addition, one evening my wife an I were in our room reading when the electronic door lock opened and a male member of staff walked into our room. He claimed he had knocked before entering but couldn't really explain why he was there. He mentioned something about an iron, said sorry and backed out. We were puzzled and somewhat unnerved that a member of staff would enter our room uninvited and without knocking. There were other examples but I think you get the message. Even allowing for language and cultural differences the staff attitude left a lot to be desired.

Regarding the property was nice and everything same has the pictures, the room are small but but you have enough space for 2 people, the food are very nice. They have a little dog at the entrance was very cute.

They asked me for tax has they say all of the hotel ask for tax in Albania, I been more 3 hotels none of them asked for that.. I think just a way to get more money lol

Location was great ,pool area allways had loungers available .Resteraunt was good ,close to mini markets and lots of other resteraunts . Close to promenade ,walkable

Too much heavy noise of music the whole day. Till 12 o’clock at night. Tv in room was not working. Room had not been looked after well. Breakfast was fine.
