The location was exceptional!

It wasn’t clear to us that the surrounding areas/restaurants/pubs would be closed! We were able to make do with the supermarket & the kitchen though, so still an excellent experience

It was SO serene, peaceful and beautiful. The location is undisputedly perfect and it’s so convenient having a restaurant and cafe on the ground floor. Plenty of charging stations nearby as well! We could have stayed here forever!

No one answered the phone when we called the office number. It would have saved us a lot of trouble/stress during the day as we ran into issues due to closed tunnels. We stressed about arriving in time but no one could help us with questions.

The shower had not been cleaned. There was hair on glass and shower floor. We did not use as it was disgusting.

It was centrally located. It had a restaurant downstairs. The toilet and bathroom were for two rooms, so it was good for keeping it clean. Check-in and check-out were easy. They direct you to another hotel for breakfast, which was an open buffet. It was quite good.

A lovely cleaner did a good job of making the place clean, brought me a key for early checkin and ensured I had what I needed upon arrival

VIK Pensionat has remote management from Brazil. Check-in is unassisted and confusing just as other posts have stated. A cleaner did eventually provide early access and was a very nice and helpful young woman. However beware if you encounter any issues during your stay as all messages to the owner were ignored, including a request for instructions for key return which another review also stated. Basically expect no support and be fully self-reliant.

We arrived after reception closed, but the instructions on self check-in were very clear. The room was cozy and clean. The bathroom was very small, but our balcony view made up for it. Breakfast had a nice selection and the 5-minute walk to the main hotel for breakfast provided nice views of the fjord and mountains.

The bathroom was very small and the bed was too soft. The hotel restaurant and nearby restaurants were all closed, but luckily there was a grocery store nearby to pick up something to eat.

We stayed here for one night in the room with a kitchinet. Technically it had 3 separate rooms (bedroom with a single bed, living/bedroom with a double bed, and a small dining area. Our room had bathroom and shower, even though some rooms in this property have shared bathroom. We were given vouchers for breakfast at Eidfjord hotel, which is less than 10 min walk from Vik Pensjonat . The breakfast was abundant and very tasty. This hotel is an excellent option if you are visiting the area.

The bathroom and kitchen were not very clean. The bathroom had a very strong urine smell, even after we scrubbed the floors.

Fantastic location with views of the mountains, fjords and on the river. The chalet had everything you could have asked for and was priced very fairly. Ample parking outside of the property for those travelling with a car. A great find with very easy check in out of hours! I would definitely recommend - perfect for a larger group/family stay!

Very nice old Pensjonat. We had an appartment with 2 rooms and a balcony. There is a bakery and a very good restaurant in the same building. We had to walk to another hotel for our breakfast, but that was fine, as we had a nice view over Eidfjord from the breakfast room.

The bathroom needs some renovation, although everything was functioning properly

Location was great, the room was comfortable and had some character. Breakfast, despite not being in the location, was great. There was also a bakery/restaurant below the rooms, and they were the best cinnamon rolls we had while in Norway.

Figuring out where to check-in was not easy - the staff was polite, but not warm. Because the rooms were above the restaurant/bakery, the food smell was very strong.

Incredible location, situated right in the city center with amazing views. On the ground floor of the hotel, there was a bakery with the most delicious pastries and good coffee.The room itself was clean, with a tiny kitchen and all the necessary utensils. We stayed as a group of four and had beds in separate rooms; essentially, it was two separate rooms with individual entrances, connected by a door.We had breakfast included, but it's worth noting that breakfast is served at another hotel, about a 5-minute walk away.

Our booking included breakfast, and we were supposed to receive breakfast cards for each day. However, the cards were only placed in our room for the first day, and for the following days, we had to explain at the restaurant each time that we hadn't received the cards but that breakfast was included. This was inconvenient. We contacted the reception, but no one ever issued us the cards.

Lovely village with Vik Pensjonat perfectly sited so that the cruise ship didn't affect it. Lovely cafe/restaurant. Lovely walks from home.

Great view. If you book a single room you get to stay in a closet. double rooms are allright.

There is no breakfast. They send you to a different hotel where the breakfast is terrible. The cheese was bad. The ham smelled bad. All of the hot food was room temperature. Bread was atleast two days old.The bar 5 metres from our room was open until midnight.
