Pros +
- Clean. Good location. Huge bathroom.
- Nice, cozy and clean. A few steps from the city center where you have a lot of restaurants.
- Smooth check-in process. Comfy bed. Very nice lounge area.
Cons -
- There is no on site receptionist. Most of the time that is not a ln issue. But it does cause some inconvenience.
- Breakfast should be included in the standard rate.
- All good experience about this hotel is spoiled by the fact that the rooms are super-acoustic. No sound-proofing at all and one can hear tv or music and neighbours talking or walking around the rooms upstairs in the evening/night. If you are sensitive to these kind of things, ask for a room at the last floor, I would say.It is a bit odd to have a hotel with so little staff - you get a code by e-mail to get in and you never see anybody at the reception. Except the persons making breakfast and cleaning rooms...

Durbuy is flooded by tourists in the holiday period so the location of this hotel, a bit away from the crowds on the other side of the river, is superb. The building has an interesting history and served many purposes (administration, school, post-office...) before becoming a hotel. Excellent relaxation area downstairs. Our room, with a separate bedroom, was very cosy and clean, supplied with a little fridge. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good, served in a spacious dining area. Big thanks to a helpful lady at breakfast who did her best to book us a taxi (not an easy task in Durbuy).

Good location, big rooms, clean
Location, free parking, better than average breakfast
It’s outdated like visiting Grandma’s house. No hot water kettle in room, too many emails, rooms on second floor are hot. Expensive, but ok for one night.
Close to town. Nice dedicated parking spot. Easy check-in/check-out.
CLose to Durbuy town .. good instructions for entry and facilities..
The hotel is in a lovely spot by the river and chateau in Durbuy, with a riverside garden and terrace. Just a short walk into the old town. The room was comfortable and the honesty bar downstairs has a good selection of drinks including local beers.Good breakfast which you have to pre-order and secure storage for our bikes.
There's no staff until breakfast so you get lots of emails about access, check in and breakfast and there's no one on site to answer questions. Nothing to do with the hotel but a lot of the restaurants were closed mid week.
Location is great. Just a quick walk to the town! Also, it has ample space to park your car which is provided for free.
The facilities are very poor - there we no electric water heater or steam iron for clothes in the room. I asked the staff over the Booking.com app, and turns out they don't have it to provide even on request.
Location is very convenient. Free parking. Breakfast was okay although not very spectacular. Everyday with the breakfast choice.
The room does not have a good sound proof. The bed was not confortable.
We only slept here one night with 2 kids, but everything was pretty much as it should be. No problems. The internet comm
Very good location. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with cold buffet and option to order eggs according to taste.
Hotels with key deposit box instead of receptions are not my favorite, even there was no problem with check in.
great location city center of Durbuy, beautiful ancient cottage, love to live in a building with history and culture behind
The room smells like curry when I first walk in, the other things are cleaned, maybe it just need to have the air circulating a bit when the last guest check out
Very nice location close to Durbuy town, modern and comfortable rooms, very easy practical check-in check-out and free parking in private garage of the hotel. Especially I liked that suite room was possible to host our entire family of 4 people. Also no surprises, room and properties were exactly as described
Nothing particular. Maybe could be good have some snack options in the self service bar
Quiet location just outside the town centre, suitable for children. A small hotel in a beautiful old building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We especially liked the lounge/bar area, as we were using the sofa bed in our room.
The mattress was a bit soft for my liking.
This hotel is ideal for short stays. Admittedly we were the only guests on day 1 and one of the few on day 2 so it felt completely personalized and tailor made. We were looking for a place to relax and disconnect and couldn't have been luckier. The hotel is operated remotely so you get a password on email to access the premises and another password to collect your key. Simple and hassle free. The room is lovely - 2nd floor hosts 'legacy' rooms and on ground level, newly refurbished rooms. Both are equally charming and well taken care of. The bed turned out to be ultra comfortable and we had an excellent night sleep, no crackling or hissing sounds during the night which are common in this type of estate, amazing shower, nice views on both sides (whether to river or mountain, you're always confronted with an endless green wall), temperature in the room was easy to regulate (we stayed on a subzero day but managed to regulate the temperature entirely to our liking) and breakfast is very good. Sophie -a lovely host with the brightest energy on earth- will prepare hot options for you and typical breakfast provisions will be offered on the table. Lastly the hotel faces the city about 25 meters from the bridge so you are in Durbuy centre in about 2 minutes, and you can park at the hotel as well.
Nothing - maybe have a coffee machine in the room as Durbuy is very small and has no stores and/or Evertything is closed as of certain time of day.
Easy access, interesting building (the old town hall), clean and comfortable room. Dedicated parking.
Nothing to complain.
Super! Lovely staff. Very good breakfast and great location
The room exceeded expectations. Even though it is in a small and old 'city', Hotel Des Comtes perfectly encapsulates the warm coziness of an old town yet still balances it with modern touches. The room was super comfortable with toasty beds. The bathroom was more modern. The room is clean throughout. The check in process was very smooth and fast. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.Overall recommended for your stay in Durbuy!
Just be sure to know how to get in and out of the city. This is especially important if you are going by public transport. Not the hotel's fault of course!
