Pros +
- Very friendly staff, nice old style grandeur, nice restaurants in the neighborhood, good breakfast
- Rooms and entire atmosphere of hotel was great. Breakfast was also quite enough and quality.
- Staff / customer service. Free upgrade to deluxe room.
Cons -
- Hotel is outdated. carpets worn, old fashioned bathroom, curtains worn.
- One day before I made a taxi reservation for airport in early morning but the lady in the reception forgot to do that. The day of departure receptionist Abdoulrakhman helped us a lot and make things work. Thanks to him.
- Shoe drawers were broken and was difficult to open and close them.Sauna’s cold plunge wasn’t working (I understand that it’s not hotel’s fault, but perhaps finding an alternative would be a good idea).Restaurant did not have steak on the menu (again). For this reason I may be booking completely different hotel on my next business trip.Elevator wasn’t working on my check out day at 06:30 am. And I was in room 407.

The location is very nice and the staff is OK but something tragic happened while I was showering a plumber went inside my room without being informed that they want to fix something inside my room it wasThe management mistake and also the plumber mistake. How could he enter a room and I had do not disturb card outside my room and the management didn’t call me prior or inform me they sent me some macaroons to apologize, but that does not fix what happened.

Cool building and good location
Old, needs some updating
An old and poorly kept facility
Small dark depressing room
the art deco decorations, pool, comfortable bed,
At the casino the cocktail you could get classic drink like Vodka martini and old fashion; They need a bartender who know how to make drinks
I really liked the comfort and size of the room. For $150 a night, this was a well worth it hotel. Walkable to everything quite easily in Divonne Les Bains. The market on Sunday is wonderful. The staff was friendly.
It was great, I don't have much to say. We personally didn't do the breakfast and just went into town. The one morning we wanted coffee, they charged us 4 euros for a machine coffee which I thought was totally over-priced. Aside from this, everything was great.
We liked the space, like a return to beautiful days of a Spa and Casino hotel at the beginning of the XX century; The ambiance, the comfort. The gardens, the peace
Some details could be improved, like the floor tapestry of the room, which is a bit old. Apart from that, all was fine.
The bar was nice. Staff, throughout the hotel, were very friendly.
The room was small and so was the bed (for two people). Cupboards and hallway took up more space than expected. The evening restaurant was expensive for its courses and the menu was a small one.
Quiet rooms with both external electric blinds and light excluding drapes. Heated bathroom rails for towels that gave wonderful heat to bathroom and beyond. Comfortable armchairs plus a chair in large bedrooms. Excellent helpful staff particularly at reception and breakfast. Breakfast was great and almond milk was available and fresh eggs. Parking plentiful
Mattresses need attention. First room was impossible but we were quickly given another room
It was the quietest and most affordable yet luxurious place we have stayed in our month traveling throughout Europe. The bed and linens were top quality. The room was spacious. The balcony facing the mountains was lovely. The restaurant and breakfast were amazing. It was perfect for our one night stay. Robes, slippers, water, coffee, tea, a soaking tub, and a beautiful view! What else could you need?
There wasn’t anything we did not like.
Beautiful building, good location.
Shocking state of neglect, indifferent customer service. As a family of three, we booked two interconnected superior double rooms. We approached the visit with an open mind, mindful of other reviews commenting on the state of the hotel. The building is impressive in style and location, and the check-in was functional. It is evident that the interior, while still impressive, is seriously in need of an upgrade, as evident from the state of the carpets leading up to the rooms. The two rooms (207 and 208), while identical in size and layout, could not be more different, room 208 was fine (apart from a severely damaged door), but 207 was a disaster, with the following problems: 1) Broken door/hinge of cabinet housing the minibar; 2) broken bathtub outlet; 3) broken drawer; 4) broken electricity outlet with exposed wires; 5) gaping hole in wall at entry where entry card is inserted. What was most unacceptable however was the fact that the plastic cover over the ventilation outlet in the bathroom came off, and was lying on the ground in several pieces. When we left for dinner shortly after checking in, I made reception aware of these problems, and they undertook to address this. When we came back at 21:00 I was shocked to see that absolutely nothing was done, with the plastic cover (in several pieces) still lying on the floor in the bathroom. While I can overlook some of the other issues, the fact that this was at least not removed, together with the exposed wires from the electricity outlet, is simply inexcusable. I raised this issue again at check-out, and while the person on duty listened and agreed that it is unacceptable, not once was an apology of any sort issued. This is certainly not remotely the kind of service consistent with a 4-star hotel. So in essence, based on our experience, you have a 50% chance of getting a room in a decent state, together with some indifferent customer service. I simply cannot recommend this hotel in any way, however much I want to.
Breakfast is superb, has all you need to start your day!
The hotel keeps old-style vibes, which is OK with the place is located, maybe a refreshed look will be ideal
The atmosphere of the hotel took me back to the past. I felt like living in the seventies. It was a wonderful feeling. Breakfast is great. Coffee is fresh and delicious.
Toilet is has no washer. It is not connected the bathroom.
This is still a really Grand Hotel that is kept in style and therefore is breathing a special ambiance that I really like, with furniture in the room that brings you back to former days, but which is very well kept and renovated, very well done. The rooms are large, the outside pool in a quiet garden setting, the breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace in summer, there is plenty of room for parking the car, all really comfortable. Staff was really very welcoming and helpful.
Nice location hiking in Jura, close to Geneva and plenty of activities. Old fashioned upscale service. Daily housekeeping, porter, towel service at the pool etc.
The hotel in general could use a “glow up” but i guess that the prices would go up to. Maybe some wuick wins would be on the pool and on the scrambled eggs (were a bit runny for my taste)
Beautiful gardens .Lovely staff .
Rooms could do with a little revamp .
Beautiful old property reminds of being on “Titanic”time
WiFi in the room didn’t work, pool facilities are too old and I had a food poisoning after dinner at the restaurant. I ate duck and salmon millefeuille
We have visited this hotel every year since 2009, except for Covid years. It used to have great charm, but some of that is sadly lacking now; however, it could be because of economies due to Covid. Partouche is a small chain that seems to rely on income from its attached casinos. In our room the aircon wasn’t working and wasn’t fixed during our stay. But that was the only real downside. As always we had dinner on the Terasse and the food was excellent. Breakfast is equally good. Coffee machines in the room are a good addition. The view and the grounds are always lovely. This is a niche hotel with a fascinating history; you either get it or you don’t.
Lack of aircon in our room which wasn’t fixed.
