Love the view of lake and wine vineyards on 5th floor. Staff was friendly and welcome.

Just one slight issue. The check in staff is not there yet when we arrived and we had to wait and wait. Saw the sign on desk if any need assistance and my companion called at that number and the staff said she wouldn¿t be back until 2 hours later.

Super friendly staff! Perfect location between Vevey/Montreux and Lausanne. Ample parking (even covered). The hotel gives a free public transportation ticket, too. Simple, clean room. 18 CHF breakfast looked normal but has a gorgeous view on the lake!

No thermostat. Window/door can either be completely opened or closed. Old, dusty hairdryer.

Great staff and amazing view. It is situated about 500 feet or more up the side of a hill overlooking Lake Geneva. Our room, the restaurant, and bar has patios overlooking the lake. Also, free pass on public transit.

A little difficult to find and a bit remote. Thank goodness for GPS! No air conditioning. Luckily, at night it cooled off and with the windows open it cooled off.

The mountain lake view was amazing. My husband likes the bed, memory foam like.

The slope up to the accoms was really steep and we met a snow storm on the day of our check in. Very very slippery and difficult to move the luggage up if you are planning to walk. No bus, only taxi up.

This is in an excellent location with amazing views over Lac Leman. It is close to the village of Chexbres. It provides very basic accommodation. The receptionists speak English.

Our room was tiny with hardly room to move around the bed. The shower doors didn’t shut properly (this has been like this on previous visits) so water escapes onto the floor. The double bed had single duvets (a Swiss thing) but these are awkward and do not lend themselves to a good night's sleep. The hotel is old and badly designed with a huge central area for breakfast but no lounge or comfortable areas. There seemed to be very few guests. We were out all day so only slept there. You are given cardboard cups for hot drinks in room.but very few options for tea and no milk. The hotel is not conducive to a relaxed holiday.

There was a beautiful view from the balcony overlooking the mountains and the lake. The room was warm (we stayed in December). The bed linen and towels were white and spotless, and the bed was large and very comfortable.

The only downside was the use of paper cups in the room.

What I loved most about Hotel Prealpina was the stunning, picturesque view of Lake Geneva. The view from the room was breathtaking, and the breakfast restaurant offered the same beautiful scenery, making morning especially pleasant. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The hotel itself is a bit old, but well maintained.

Quite a long walk especially if you are with luggages but glad that backpacking make it easier

The location was very good, we enjoyed the balcony and the views.

Parking was a bit difficult at times with the parking area full. Hotel lacked a friendly/cosy feel, mainly due to the size and it's use as a conference and wedding venue.

Views from our room and the restaurant overlooking the lake and mountains. Short walk to nearby town for dinner.

Strong odour from the room cleaning product. We had to keep the balcony door open the whole 3 days we were there. The advertised onsite restaurant was closed but there was nothing online to say that it would be closed.

The rooms on the 5th floor.Staff in reception were nice but not helpful.Reception closes with a shutter at 11 pm !Room with heavey old keys.We spent one night attending a wedding. It was a beautiful event but not a nice hotel. It is an old hotel that has a fantastic location, that is all nothing else.

The fact of the matter that at least it had extra pillows and and extra fan … cause it was a bit warm at night however the fan did its job….. also breakfast was great not so many hotels offer the variety that this did…. Breakfast wise balcony was good sized and the view was breathtaking

The hotel needs some TLC but don’t let the old building and elevator fool you everything is a ok

Seamless check-in and friendly, helpful staff. View from our location and room was fabulous. Facilities were clean but tired, and could have done with extra pillows and towels. Free parking and only a short walk into the village and great choice of eateries were recommended by staff at our check -in.

We only stayed one night so for the price we were happy overall - the view was worth any of the potential shortfalls.

The view from the room over lake Geneva is spectacular (we changed to a studio with lake view)! The room was spacious. Location easy to reach by a 10 minutes walk from the center of Chexbres. For the city tax you receive a public transport ticket for a large part of the region, e.g. up to Lausanne.

The accommodation has no airconditioning. With the balcony doors open there is a severe serious amount of noise coming from the streets and the trains, amplified by the mountains around the hotel. With a bit higher temperatures it gets very warm inside.The bathroom needs maintenance, in particular the shower doors and the closet.No refrigerator in the room. No second TV in the semi-second room of the studio. Very simple (cheap) furniture.

Beds weee not comfortable , we were a couple and we had 3 pillows , pillows and bed are not comfortable . We were at 5. Floor and the lift is until 4. Floor . We have to take the steps with our bags .
