The Clervaux Boutique Hotel & Spa is a 4-star superior hotel nestled in the historic center of the pitorresque little town of Clervaux. This elegant hotel features a spa and wellness center, access to which is systematically included in your stay. The spa features an indoor pool, sauna area, whirlpool and gym. In the hotel's signature art deco style, each suite features a sitting area, flat-screen TV and writing desk. They also offer a large, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub. Sharing the same reception as the Koener Hotel, a local landmark, Le Clervaux offers an atmosphere of comfort and refinement. It features 3 restaurants: the Dalonati, offering authentic Italian cuisine; the Brasserie Koener, specializing in traditional Luxembourg dishes; and Le Chloé, where you can savor refined French cuisine. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, the region abounds with tourist sites to explore, including the Family of Man, the medieval Chateau de Clervaux and the Battle of the Bulge Museum. - The spacious Spa like bathroom was wonderful, a tub and a two person Rain shower, two sinks, and a secluded toilet. A "Wow" factor indeed. The suit has a separate living area, bedroom and the WOW bath suit.
Cons -
- The air-conditioning unit was not yet set to cool. The room was at 28 celcius too hot upon arrival. And this was at the beginning of March. The room did have black-out curtains. Unfortunately, the windows only tilted, and the request to open them fully until the room was brought to an exceptional temperature was not met. One portable Fan was provided upon request and simply placed into the room. Unfortunately, the linen was stained. Finally, the Manager took care of this himself. Having stayed in various Spa cities and high end hotels, it feels as if the last touches to elevate are missing. Further, having stayed at this location before, it appeared the Hotel owners may have changed. The dinner at the Hotel Restaurant has suffered in quality and the table set up is all paper based and is thrown out/ sustainability and comfort are not met. The mattress topper is too thick and soft, it makes the bed rather uncomfortable.
